Prof. Favre hums happily as they follow the worn down path he had made back to his lab, he had just recently returned from his trip beyond the borders of the world he created with his lab and had come back with a wonderful yield of all sorts of things he had found on his travels. He would have loved to have his two dearest Assistants joined him, but he knows that they are not ready for the other worlds and continuities.

Well, even if they were ready to explore, they would be immediately traumatized or prefer that they never get introduced to the multiverse and world traveling.

Which would be a shame, but for the best. Not everyone is suited for such a thing and really, why would anyone want to go through the existential crisis? Not many and quite frankly, he values his Assistants safety and healths over his own. Nonetheless, he can't wait to go home and see how his wonderful assistants have been doing!

Or how much work he would have to do or even how much updates and maintenance he would have to clear up with Assistant Steve.

He still questioned why he had taken Professor Red's advice and built himself an assistant with a genocidal function. Or an Artificial Intelligence with an actual fully developed soul. Even he has no power over creation in a manner like that and he's far more powerless than all the others. Even though he's very much an enigma.

Nonetheless, he just wants to return to the lab, clear his almost entirely full inventory and bother his Assistants with stories that are very much true and not just lies. His Assistants assumptions, not his own. They still don't believe him when he explains that that One day long trip is actually practically a month long trip.

Eh, he wasn't too bothered by it anyways, he let his Assistant believe what they want. That is, until he inevitably has them learn anyways, he can't keep them sheltered forever.

Nonetheless, he continued walking the path until at long last, he arrives back to the Lab, his home sweet home–

An explosion went off and the ground shuddered quite a bit as smoke came out from the Lab.

"ASSISTANT STEVE WHAT THE VOID DID YOU DO THIS TIME?!"

Professor Favre sighs in exasperation, he thought he had hidden away all of the TNT and other explosives they had on hand to the deepest reaches of the pantry? Which...now he thought about it, who was in charge of cleaning it today? He would have to make sure that they're both following schedule as planned and not bribed each other to escape their responsibilities.

...He should hurry before Assistant Steve finds his forbidden stash of explosives that's enough to make even a fully powered god feel crippled.

"So, let me get this straight– Assistant was cleaning the pantry since it was his turn today, he found my stash of explosives and decided to experiment with it ranges and firepower near my library, which– I warned you both constantly to stay away from and now the living room is a mess." Prof. Favre summarized, utterly dumbfounded.

Assistant Steve had the guts (or lack thereof for being an android) to look apologetic.

"I apologize. Professor. I had not foreseen the damage to be so severe." Assistant Steve apologizes, Rainbow simply just looks away. Prof. Favre on the other hand, simply just sighs in exhaustion. "Honestly, I should have known this would have happened, but at the same time, I had too much hope for the explosives to not be found so soon." He admitted, mostly for himself, but the slowly growing and demonic grin on Assistant Steve's face did not make none of them happy.

Especially Rainbow, considering he had to deal with their antics more often than not.

Actually, he knows exactly what type of punishment he would have these two deal with.

"Both you clean up all the damages, and replace the severely damaged furniture." They both were about to protest when Prof. Favre held up his hand. "However, Assistant you will be handling two months worth of cleaning in the pantry due to your little stunt with the explosives, Rainbow you get gardening duty in the meantime." Prof. Favre watched with a smile when he witnessed Rainbow practically cheered with utter joy whereas the Assistant looked horrified at the prospect of having to do cleaning duty in the pantry.

Well, Prof. Favre thought to himself, that's what he got for forgetting to clean the pantry so many times.

Regardless, he bid his two assistants good luck and rushed towards his library, purely because he really didn't want to find it in a mess or lose any of the books he had painstakingly collected in his entire existence. Most of all, he also doesn't want to lose any records he had collected from his observation on all sorts of worlds he visited and watched as any other reader and watcher would.

Thankfully, his library had remained untouched, which meant that he could continue to collect books and such without any worries of having to replace the damaged one.

Speaking of books...Prof. Favre hums happily as he goes to the brand new section he had created recently. A section he dedicated just for Alux Rising, a recent and still relatively new in terms of lore, Universe he had come across quite some time ago. It is a very interesting story and universe that he had come to watch whenever he could.

As of recently, he wonders what the inhabitants would do, what plans are going to bloom and what Alux would do. After all–

Alux had been cursed with the position as that of a Protagonist.

Personally, Prof. Favre is glad that he wasn't a Protagonist, but he feels bad for those that are in fact the Protagonist. To bear a huge deal of pain and misery, with an equal amount of comfort and joy. Being the protagonist is a double edge sword after and really– he admits with all honesty that he really wanted to see what Alux horns are exactly.

Is it pure magic? Is it truly magical? Is it unique for certain mage users? Or perhaps is it genetic?

He doesn't know and the idea of researching magic seems enticing.

Even though there's a lot of forbidden knowledge and magic one shouldn't research, that will never stop him. Especially since technically, using anything from the Void itself is far more forbidden then anyone can even fathom! After all, no one else has ever escaped from the Void in a manner like he has anyways.

With a hum and a happy mood, he cleared his inventories of all the books he had collected, copied or even found in his visit to Alux Rising continuity, he put it all on the shelves he had made and reserved for it all. Sadly, it wasn't as much as he had hoped, but it would do well for the time being until he could visit again or wait for more lore to be discovered.

He hates how he had to sympathize with the fans that had to wait an unknown amount of time for the next episode and what not.

Nonetheless, once he was sure that everything was in order, he finally got the chance to take a breather and relax again. Once he goes ahead and freshens up and relaxes some more, he would have a wonderful time here in his special library. And if he's so daring, he will be doing a lot of research on Magic and anything of interest he'll learn from the Alux Rising world. Or find out anything about Alux himself...

Hm, he hopes he doesn't have to meet the poor unfortunate kid, it would do him no favor to come into contact with a guy like himself. Who knows what could happen if their magic clashed with his very unstable existence!

Eh, he'll worry about it some other time, for now, he has other stuff to do and an inventory to clear up...actually, maybe he should also re-read some of his favorite fanfictions and worlds! Ooh, even catch on some stories! If he faintly recalls correctly, he still has Multiversal Collision to catch up on...

A evil smile appeared on Prof. Favre face, of course that is the one story he looks forward to, second to Code Jumpers, mostly because he had the chance to see just how all of those poor unfortunate creators interact with their world and learned what their own actions of writing have done to the characters themselves.

Shame I'm a character in a story as well, Prof. Favre thought to himself sadly, but shrugged afterwards. After all...

Self awareness is a curse that can bring about some forbidden knowledge that can make people question existence.

*

See, there's a reason why I considered Professor Favre a crazy Professor or someone no one should meet under any normal circumstances in general. He has access to things he really shouldn't and that includes access to fanfictions.

Guess that's a price he had to pay to even get out of the void and for being a unstable scrapped concept that forced themselves to even exist at all.
