Prof. Favre quietly walks around the ruined land that was once prosperous, it was a true shame that he never got the chance to learn more about the inhabitants. Having been wiped out long before the events of Colle adventure and the Era of changes he brought about from his adventure. Most of all, he was feeling...melancholy.

He rarely feels that way, due to his own existence making him pretend to have some emotions to feel a bit better about themselves. Another price to pay for being a scrapped concept that escaped The Void itself in an unnatural manner.

Either way, he felt sadness that did not belong to him, regrets that he never felt before, was it the spirits that couldn't move on that were making him feel that way? He wasn't entirely sure, but it was mostly likely the case here. After all, he was wandering through the ruins of a once prosperous civilization that had been destroyed from its own curse. What curse? He doesn't really know all that much.

Well, learning anything about these particular steves could have been so much useful, especially since knowledge on Gems and ores are pretty much lacking. He did use quite a few magical gems to create things he really shouldn't.

Rainbow Assistant happens to be one of those things he really shouldn't have been able to create at all. It's a shocker that the wool he had used along with the gem didn't leave a giant hole in the Lab.

Again.

Nonetheless, he continues to wander the area, he can't find anything of use, but he can at least offer his respect to the dead in the only way he knows.

Getting access to their archives would have also been beneficial for him as well, after all, who wouldn't want to learn about the histories and knowledge they acquired? But alas, he can't– He frowned when he felt as though something or someone stared at them. He wasn't unfamiliar with the feeling of being watched, but this feeling was off. Perhaps the spirits have come to watch him, but why?

If he remembers correctly, they appeared before Colle a few times before, but that's not much else.

After all, what does anyone know of the Ore Steves when Diamonds are the only one known in record histories? Of course, that's not counting whatever side stories that Steve Saga wrote, he has some strange ideas sometimes, even if it's twisted in some sense, but still. Not a lot of information is known and will never be all things considered.

Although, he wonders why the spirits still linger here when they should have moved on, so he looks around, mostly in search of records that survived, which he puts in his inventory for safekeeping and looks around for any spirits.

Unfortunately, he couldn't find any of the spirits of the Diamond Steve like he hoped, but on the bright side, he found a lot of ancient looking documents he would definitely have a lot of fun deciphering. Worst case scenario, he would force The First Curse that happens to live in his basement rent free to actually do work!

He's not that kind enough to let the guy live there without any work to do after all, even if he wished he could just do some experiments to see how they work.

Well, it's a good thing that he has some paper on him, there wasn't much he could do and all the sadness and regret that doesn't belong to him have begun to make him feel...burdened. It wasn't his to feel, but he could at least try to ease their pain quite a bit by offering them a little pathway out. It was a good thing he saw a water stream along the way.

With a simple hum, he walked over to the water stream, a simple one and it would no doubt lead outside one way or another, but he can feel the lingering spirits follow him curiously. He paid them no mind as he used the special paper he carried around often, sometimes to make messages he didn't want to be found through the chat system, into a fair amount of paper cranes. Once done, he gently set it down in the water–

Watching as it glows a pale turquoise color, before coming to life with a touch of Void.

He wasn't sure why the paper cranes he makes do this, but he can't really complain. Once it was done, he turned around to leave– only to jump back in surprised by the sudden appearances of the Diamond Steves spirits. He really didn't expect to see any– or ever for that matter.

He didn't really know what to expect and quite frankly, he also felt the strong sense of regrets and sadness from them. He really would like to leave– he wasn't native here and as much as Rainbow Quest doesn't mind his presence here, he rather not stick around too long that it would alter the world history–

"Thank you."

Prof. Favre blink, seemingly baffled, he– he heard that, right? Did they just thank him? But for what reasons? Before he could even question it– the spirits vanished into sparkles. He turned around, sure enough, the paper cranes he made had vanished with them. Thus, it means that his parting gift had worked and guided them away.

Looking back at where the Diamond Steves were, he noticed a book and a broken orb.

A book about the histories of the Diamond Steve and an item that most likely have some importance to the Diamond Steve, but he won't know until he does some research. With a smile, he put both items in his inventory, looked around one last time– he whispers his respects to the remaining spirits of the Diamond Steves.

Then turned around, heading on out, he had came for what he wanted, it was time for him to head home to the Lab, but may be, just this once–

He'll pay Rainbow Quest Sabre, The Powerless God, a visit.

*

Of course Prof. Favre would visit the grave of the Diamond Steve, for a professor such as himself, he's quite curious of knowledge he doesn't have access to or have been lost. This wasn't really much, but this is the best I could do with Spirits.
