~| Day 30A: Bloodmoon |~
AU: Isn't one, this is just a cool thing I thought of! What if every bloodmoon (which is basically the opposite of a solar eclipse, the moon is completely in Earth's shadow and appears red because of the atmosphere), the Darkness seal on the World Below weakens and just for one night, a few Demon Steves roam the Realm looking for anyone that didn't heed the warnings? Y'all are welcome to use this idea too if you want :3
Context: One night of the red moon, Green Steve makes sure his house is secure as the sun sets.

[Green Steve's POV]
As the sun begins to turn a vibrant orange on the horizon, I enter my house and make sure the door is locked behind me, using the secondary deadbolt just to be safe.
I then go around and lock all my windows, closing the curtains over them. The Demon Steves may be powerful beings, but on this night they must abide by rules as well. As long as they can't find any way to get inside, I'll be safe. Which means I must make sure that everything is shut tight.
...And have a safer place to sleep for tonight. I'd much rather stay in my room, but it has two windows and I'd rather not risk it, even if they are locked and covered. I don't want to find out if they'd be able to take me through the glass. So, my small cellar will do for tonight.
As I finish locking everything, I quickly stop at my room and grab all of my bedding, noticing the last of the daylight fading. I carry my blankets and pillows over to the small trapdoor in the end of the hall, where the rest of the things I gathered to keep me calm wait underneath in my little shelter. Many books are stacked around the small mattress I carried down there the other day, and I premade a pot of tea with my favorite cup to keep me calm. Lots of things to keep me distracted, in case I can't sleep...
As I quickly toss in the bedding, I start to head down myself, and glance down the hall towards my living room. A red light filters through everything, tinting the entire place with the crimson hue. I look away and hurry down the ladder, closing the trapdoor above me and locking it from the inside. Just in case.
I can only hope that when the sun rises tomorrow morning and dispels the bloodmoon for another year, that I won't hear about anyone disappearing on this night. No one deserves such a fate as being taken by them will bring.
