One week later, on December 21st, Laura is ready to go outside and face everyone. She has also been having changes with her body and has been vomiting and having changes in food preferences and feeling tired more often.

Everyone goes to the main cabin, and upon entering, the bodies and all of the evidence is missing. No one has been near the areas that the tragedies happened, and now everything is gone.

The Barrington family, minus Caleb, the Peterson family, and the Johnson family all discuss the disappearance of the bodies and the evidence. They also rejoice over Laura's recovery, and talk about her symptoms.

Rachel. You know, I believe she is pregnant. I know, it sounds crazy considering she is so young, but I do believe that is what is causing her symptoms.

Sarah. Mrs. Johnson, I believe you are right. I just wish I had realized sooner. What, with myself going through it four times, and the incident with Laura and your husband.

Rachel. That's perfectly fine dear. We have all been preoccupied with the murders and the event with your daughter. With all of the worry and stress, it's normal to miss signs such as this. But I do recommend having a pregnancy test done. And from our interactions, I remember that your family has always used the wheat and barely method and it has always worked.

Sarah. Yes, and I think it would work for Laura if she wants to use that method.

Laura. Yes mother. I would like to use that method to find out if I'm pregnant.

Alexander. Do we have any wheat and barley seeds anywhere?

William. Yes. I just got some in stock this morning. Laura is more than welcome to use them for her pregnancy test.

Moments later, Sarah and Laura make their way to the bathroom that was not involved in the murders.

Sarah puts the wheat and barley seeds in a pot. Laura peas into a cup, and a sample is taken with a pipette and one drop is applied to the wheat seeds and one to the barley. Both seeds sprout and grow the same height, indicating a girl and a boy.

Laura smiles and looks at her mother.

Laura. I'm pregnant. Mommy, I'm pregnant! With twins! A boy and a girl!

Sarah. I know. I'm so glad that you're happy about being pregnant. And daddy and I and your siblings are all going to help you through the pregnancy and birth and with the twins.

Laura washes her hands and then hugs her mother. She picks up the pot and shows everyone.

Sarah sits down next to Alexander as their daughter explains with joy about being pregnant with twins and that she is going to be a good mother and that her twins are going to be loved and protected and cared for and disciplined and respected and loved.

When Laura finishes talking about the twins, she puts the pot beside her chair and finishes her breakfast. Once breakfast is finished, the kids go outside and play in the snow.

Alexander. What do we do now? All of the bodies and blood and evidence has been cleaned up and taken.

William. I don't know. I just hope that whoever did this, realizes that makes it much more difficult for us to catch George Hamilton.

Sarah. I'm sure they do realize that very well. I don't think it could have been Caleb though.

Rachel. I hope not. I don't want that man anywhere near my children or the Barrington's or even your family.

Alexander. Neither do any of the rest of us. For now, I believe we should join our children in a snowball fight.

William. Good idea.

The families have a fun snowball fight and then warm up by the fireplace and drink hot chocolate.

By the evening time, everyone goes back to their respective cabins and have dinner and then go to sleep.
