A few days later, Laura wakes up and goes to her children's room and gently wakes them up.

Laura. Good morning my darlings. It's time to wake up.

Fontaine. Good morning mommy.

Henry. Good morning mommy.

The twins get out of bed and change into their day clothes. The three of them then go downstairs and have breakfast.

After breakfast, they get their socks and shoes on, and go over to Jordan's house.

William. Hello. I suppose you're here to see Jordan?

Laura. Yes.

Fontaine. Is daddy there?

Henry. Can we come inside please?

William. I'm sorry dears. Jordan woke up with a fever and vomiting. He said that he wants the three of you to stay at your own home or just do activities without him until he gets better. He doesn't want any of you getting sick.

Laura. I understand. Although I'm sad to not be able to have Jordan with us, I would rather keep myself and our children healthy, than for all of us to be sick.

William. I agree. Have a good day and stay safe.

Laura. You too. Bye Mr. Johnson.

William. Bye Miss. Peterson.

Laura and the kids go back to Laura's house and tell Alexander and Sarah about Jordan and that they are going to stay here as Jordan requested.

Fontaine. Mommy, why can't daddy be with us?

Laura. Because he is sick, and if the two of you and myself are around him, then we will get sick.

Henry. But how do we make him feel better when we're stuck here?

Laura. We can make him a card, and I will give it to your grandpa and he will give it to your daddy. And whenever, I am at school, you two can stay here with grandaddy and grandmommy, and your grandpa and grandma will come sometimes to hang out with the two of you.

Henry. Yay!

Fontaine. Playdates are fun! Let's make daddy a get well card.

Laura. Alright.

The three of them make a card for Jordan saying that they hope he recovers soon and that they love him and miss him. Laura writes her name, along with Fontaine's and Henry's names at the bottom.

She then gives the card to William, and he gives it to Jordan.

Jordan reads the card and smiles. He sets the card aside and has breakfast. The rest of the day, Jordan stays in bed and eventually falls asleep after dinner.

Laura and the twins spend their day playing board games and playing in the backyard and have lunch and dinner in between. Laura puts the twins to bed and then gets in her bed and falls asleep.
