Minseul's house was in chaos. There were shouts here and there and even the normally calm mother was panicking.

Afterall, it was the day of the Christmas party and all their relatives were invited. So was Minseul's crush.

"MINSEUL THE COOKIES ARE BURNING- MINHYUNG I TOLD YOU TO PUT THE ORNAMENTS ON THE TREE NOT IN THE SOCK-"

Minseul's rushed to the kitchen in hopes to save the cookies while her older brother, Minhyung, quickly retrieved the ornaments and hung them on the tree.

Suddenly, the doorbell dinged.

"That must be the pizza guy. MINHYUNG GO GET THE DOOR."

Minhyung rolled his eyes and put the ornaments down. He walked towards the door and opened it, only to realise it was not the delivery man. Minhyung stared at him, before asking who he was.

"Uh I'm Park Jisung, Minseul's friend."

"MINSEUL, YOUR FRIEND IS HERE!"

Minseul's heart beat quickened as she rushed to the door. Giving Jisung a small wave, she asked why he arrived so early.

"You didn't tell me what time the party starts so I felt that it would be better to be early than late."

"Oh. But my house is uh in chaos right now, we're getting everything prepared so you can go hang out at a cafe or something and I'll call you when everything is ready."

"Can I help?"

Jisung offered and even though Minseul wanted to reject his offer, she knew that her family could use another set of hands. She sighed and welcomed him in.

"So what can I do?"

"MINSEUL- oh hey Jisung!"

Minseul explained whatever that happened to her mother as she let out an "Ah~" and thanked Jisung.

"You could help us set the table, oh and also help Minseul in the kitchen please. "

With that, both Minseul and Jisung entered the kitchen to prepare the feast her mother had planned for.

Click. The fairy lights twirled around the Christmas tree lit up and the ceiling lights dimmed, giving off a cozy ambience. Jisung's mouth hung agape as Minseul giggled at his innocence.

After hours of hard work and preparation, the house was finally ready.
