As the days passed, the winter grew colder and Yujin and Jisung's friendship grew stronger. Yujin and Jisung were basically best friends now. Leaving Minseul alone.

Minseul never really had friends in school so when she found out Jisung transferred to her school, she was elated. Only to have him leave her as soon as he made a new friend.

Minseul couldn't blame him. It wouldn't be good for him if he stuck by her the whole time. But she couldn't help but feel lonely and abandoned.

Jisung on the other hand, fitted in with the class well and was well-liked by his peers. He even had a clique now. But something felt strange. He felt like he was missing something, but he couldn't put a finger on it.

The school bell rang as he quickly shoved his homework in his bag and ran out as soon as the teacher dismissed him. He was already late to meeting his best friend.

"Sorry I'm late, Yujin! Mrs Lee dismissed us late."

"Yeah Yeah whatever. You're always late and always have the same excuse."

Yujin rolled her eyes as Jisung's head hung low.

"But I really ran as fast as I could..."

As soon as Yujin heard the tone in his voice, she quickly clung onto Jisung's arm and gave him a sweet smile.

"I know you did. I was implying that Mrs Lee always dismisses you late. Let's go home now."

Jisung nodded hesitantly, but there was something in him that made him feel strange. As if Yujin's reactions weren't genuine.
