Logan trudged into his kitchen with a yawn, very slowly making himself a mug of coffee. Despite still being tired he had woken up later than normal, although it wasn't that big of a deal since he wasn't expecting to have anything to do that day. He didn't have work, and Virgil wasn't planning on coming over to decorate, so he had no responsibilities.

He sighed softly as he leaned against his kitchen counter, taking a small sip of the hot drink. It felt colder than usual in his house, and the warmth was nice. He felt relaxed in that moment, more than he had in a few days now that he was constantly thinking of his neighbor. Ever since he had realized his feelings for the other he was all that was on his mind, and as much as he liked him it did get frustrating. Even two minutes without the constant feelings would be a huge relief to Logan. Of course, not even that much time could pass by in silence.

There was a knock at Logan's front door, drawing him out of his content state. He was confused; no one was supposed to be over today. Who could possibly be knocking at his door?

He quickly narrowed it down to being Patton, because he was the only person who visited Logan without any planning in advance. He tended to just show up sometimes, to check in and see how he was doing, and to just spend time together. Logan did enjoy speaking with him, but this certainly wasn't an ideal time.

Reluctantly, Logan placed his coffee mug on the counter and made his way from the kitchen into the living room, and finally to his front door. Feeling confident that it was Patton, Logan opened the door fully and started to say hello. However, he quickly cut himself off when he saw that it was not, in fact, his good friend Patton, but the man he had recently developed strong feelings for.

"Oh, uh... Virgil." Logan muttered, feeling his cheeks warming up a little. He realized suddenly he was still in his pajamas, a fact that only proved to embarrass him further. He managed to mutter out a quiet hello as he took in all of the things that seemed to be happening outside of his door.

Virgil was dressed in a large winter coat, a pair of boots, gloves, and a hat. Logan had already noticed the huge difference in the temperature outside as he had opened his front door, and now that he was actually looking outside it was very obvious why it was so cold. White snow covered every surface outside of Logan's house; the ground, his neighbors rooftops, the cars in the neighborhood. It was still falling now, tiny white snowflakes drifting slowly onto the ground and adding even more onto the large pile of snow.

"Hey," Virgil smiled nervously back at Logan, who was snapped out of his trance looking at the snow outside, and now brought his attention back to Virgil. Logan gestured for him to come inside, closing the door quickly to avoid becoming any colder than he already was.

"Sorry for bothering you," Virgil mentioned once he was inside. Logan quickly assured him he wasn't bothering at all, and he was happy to see him anytime. Virgil just shrugged awkwardly, not quite believing it and offered another small, nervous smile. "Anyways... I was just, well... I got really excited when I saw the snow outside, and I haven't seen snow in such a long time, and I kind of wanted to go out and play in it? Which made me think, that's embarrassing to do alone, I don't want to stay out there by myself so I mean, well you're a good friend so maybe I could come see if you wanted to go? But now I'm here and I'm starting to realize that I sound like a child, so this is super awkward and embarrassing and uh... sorry."

Logan listened to Virgil ramble for a minute, too shocked to cut him off. When he finally finished it was silent between the two of them, and Virgil awkwardly started to shuffle towards the door. It was clear he was considering leaving, so Logan finally snapped out of his thoughts and offered Virgil a genuine smile. Virgil met his eyes again finally, cheeks red, and slowly smiled back.

"Virgil, it is alright. I don't think you're being childish... I would love to join you. I just need a few minutes to get ready." He smiled softly, gesturing to his pajamas, which were warm, but not quite enough to go out in the snow.

"Y-yeah, okay..." Virgil muttered, glancing away after looking up and down at Logan. It seemed odd to see him in anything other than his usual clothes, since he dressed so formally all the time. At least, Logan told himself that must have been the reason for his eyes lingering. "I'll just, uh. Wait out here."

Soon enough Logan returned from his bedroom dressed similarly to Virgil, although he wore slightly less black than his friend had. Not by much, but he did have a dark blue hat on. He met Virgil back in the living room, stopping to drink the remainder of his coffee before leaving the house, and then they were stepping out into the snow.

It was a lot less cold when you dressed appropriately, Logan noted.

"So, what would you like to do?" Logan looked to Virgil, who pulled his bottom lip between his teeth and flushed.

"I... I'm not sure. Like I said, I haven't seen snow in... I don't know how long." Virgil looked out at the snow, thinking back to what he had done when it had snowed as a kid. "I used to go sledding a lot, but I don't own a sled."

"Hold on," Logan told him, Virgil waiting and watching him walk towards his garage. He went in through a door on the side of his house, disappearing for a few minutes. When he returned he was carrying two sleds. He offered one to Virgil when he finally made it over to him.

"Why do you have sleds?" Virgil asked, looking at Logan with a surprised grin. Virgil's obvious excitement seemed contagious, and Logan was smiling along with him. He just shrugged Virgil's question off, not wanting to ruin the happy mood with the explanation that his family didn't always ignore his existence.

Virgil didn't push it. Instead, he decided to take off running towards the hill in his backyard that was perfect for sledding down. "I'll beat you up there!"

"What-how is that fair?" Logan called, rushing to keep up with Virgil and laughing softly to himself. Usually he would be embarrassed to be running around in the snow, going sledding. Here now, hearing Virgil's laughter and seeing just how happy this had made him, he couldn't possibly care less about what anyone else might think of him.

The two of them were sledding for a while, getting to the bottom and continuing to race back up. It didn't take long before Virgil collapsed into the snow on his back after making it to the top once again before Logan, breathing heavily and looking up at where Logan came to stand beside of him. "Dragging a sled up a snow covered hill ten times is really tiring."

"Yes," Logan agreed, also out of breath as he sat beside of Virgil-in his sled. It was a lot less cold and wet than sitting in the snow. "It is."

The pair sat for a while, not speaking as they just caught their breaths from running. When Logan had finally caught his breath he glanced over at Virgil, who was still lying in the snow. His eyes were closed, and he was still breathing heavily. Logan grinned to himself, forming a plan.

"Virgil?" Logan asked a few moments later, looking over at his friend with his usual stoic face. Virgil opened his eyes, sitting up to look at Logan and ask what it was when he was suddenly hit with a snowball.

Virgil gasped, obviously shocked by the sudden hit, and looked over towards Logan. He was about to say something when suddenly he noticed Logan's face, and the words stuck in his throat. Logan laughed, louder than Virgil had ever heard him laugh, and louder than Logan himself remembered laughing in a long time. Logan saw Virgil's face turn from shock and confusion to obviously plotting revenge, and still sitting in his sled, pushed himself with his hands to get down the hill and away from him faster.

He felt a little embarrassed at laughing so hard in front of someone, but that thought was gone almost immediately as he saw Virgil sledding down behind him with a snowball of his own in hand. He pushed himself up and out of his sled quickly, but Virgil had already thrown the snowball at him as he slid down the hill. It hit Logan in the back, and almost immediately he whirled around to face Virgil again.

He leaned down to make another snowball, and Virgil realized suddenly that he was sledding right towards him, so he would be hit almost immediately after his sled stopped. Im an effort to not get hit by another snowball Virgil rolled off of his sled, falling into the snow halfway down the hill. He stumbled for a minute as Logan finished making his snowball, trying to get up fast enough to start running away. Logan of course, continued to chase after him with the snowball, although they didn't make it too far.

All too quickly Logan caught up with Virgil, and was about to throw it at his back when he suddenly tripped. He made a noise of surprise as he stumbled over, Virgil just barely having time to turn around to see what had happened before Logan stumbled into him. He fell backwards, Logan falling down on top of him and just barely catching himself with his arms beside of Virgil's head, so that he wouldn't be putting all of his weight onto him and possibly hurting him.

Both of them stared awkwardly at each other, out of breath and still processing what exactly had happened. Both of their faces were a dark red, Logan steadily growing more uncomfortable as he realized just how close to Virgil he was. He couldn't think straight, couldn't force himself to move, and Virgil didn't do anything either. Logan very briefly considered what it would be like if he leaned in and kissed Virgil.

Instead, he reached beside of them to gather up a handful of snow, and he dumped it into Virgil's hoodie.

"Oh my god it's so cold!" Virgil shouted, pushing Logan off of him and jumping to his feet. He frantically shook his hoodie in an attempt to get it all out, and Logan couldn't help it as he started to laugh again. "You are evil!"

"I was only getting you back for hitting me," Logan pointed out, still grinning widely over at Virgil. Virgil glared at him.

"You mean, when I hit you with a snowball because you started all of this?" He argued, only causing Logan to laugh a little louder. Virgil ended up joining him in his laughter moments later, shaking his head at him as he finally managed to get all of the snow out of his jacket.

"I don't remember the last time I laughed this much," Logan commented, smiling over at Virgil. He really did feel happy, spending time with him in the snow. It was odd for him, but he enjoyed it.

"It's nice," Virgil commented, watching Logan fondly. He looked away a moment later, eyes on the snow-covered ground. "Your laugh, I mean. It's nice to see you happy."

"It is good to see you having fun as well," he responded, attempting to get the conversation away from him. Both of them stood there in silence for a few moments, not knowing what else to say or do.

Suddenly, a snowball hit Logan, and then soon after another hit Virgil. Both of them turned to see where it had come from, landing on the culprit standing across the street. Roman grinned over at them, not bothering to hide that he had been the one to throw the snowball. Virgil and Logan shared a glance at each other, not having to say a word as they both reached down to make new snowballs of their own.

Roman immediately ran to Patton's house, in the hopes that his neighbor would come out to help him in the snowball fight he had caused. Logan and Virgil were not far behind him, and very soon the four of them were outside throwing snowballs back and forth at each other.

Although Logan didn't expect this to be where his day led him, he definitely wasn't disappointed with everything that had happened. He spent a long day with the man he had grown to care for a lot in such a short amount of time, and with his best friend. He even found himself enjoying his time with Roman, despite that seeming impossible just that morning.

Logan was very glad to have met Virgil; without him he would have never bothered coming out during the snow. Logan had just had one of the best days of his entire life, and he owed all of that to Virgil.
