Ahh, I'm sorry for being late!! I don't even know what happened, I can't remember my alarm going off to upload today. It just completely slipped my mind, I guess. Sorry again, hope you like the chapter!!

Logan didn't visit Virgil for the two days he had told him to wait before decorating outside again. So, when he awoke that morning and got up for the day he was excited to once again spend time with him and make progress on their decorations. It didn't take long before he heard a knock at his door, quickly heading out to meet Virgil so that they could get started.

"Good morning," Logan greeted, receiving a similar greeting from Virgil. They continued their morning just as they normally wouldn't when they planned to decorate, but as the day went on Logan couldn't help but notice that things felt off.

He couldn't quite put his finger on why exactly. Nothing had really changed. Logan still enjoyed his company, but it felt different. Awkward.

"You good, dude?" Logan heard Virgil asking. He realized suddenly that he had zoned out, and was staring at Virgil. His cheeks heat up in embarrassment, telling himself it was just because he was caught being distracted. It had nothing to do with Virgil; it was his own fault. He was being weird.

"Yes, I... apologize." Logan muttered, snapping his gaze away from Virgil. He busied himself with decorations. "I am simply distracted today, that is all."

Virgil frowned, but seemed to accept his answer. He didn't bring it up again, and Logan was glad. He did notice all of the small glances Logan sent his way throughout the day, though.

Some time passed, and Logan looked back over to Virgil again. "We should take a break for a little while."

"Really?" Virgil asked, seeming confused. "We normally go for a lot longer before we take a break. I don't even feel that cold yet."

"Yes, well... You did just get over being sick. It would be wise to take more frequent breaks before we get too cold, to hopefully prevent either one of us getting sick again. I do not want you to end up sick again."

"Aww, you really care about me." Virgil teased, grinning at Logan as they made their way inside. Logan's cheeks burned brighter, and he glanced away from his friend.

"Obviously." He shrugged, started to head into the kitchen once they got through the door. Virgil held his arm to stop him, drawing his attention and somehow making his embarrassment even worse. What was wrong with him?

"Let me make our drinks, you sit down." He said, letting go of Logan and heading towards the kitchen. Logan started to protest, but Virgil cut him off. "You literally took care of me the entire time I was sick-I can handle making a drink."

Logan gave up, finally letting Virgil go and moving to sit down on his couch. He pulled his glasses off of his face, cleaning them as a distraction. He still didn't understand what was going on with him, but he knew he didn't like it. He hated feeling so awkward around Virgil.

"Here," Virgil muttered as he held Logan's mug out to him. Logan shoved his glasses back onto his face before he took it, smiling gratefully up at Virgil. He mumbled out a quiet thank you as Virgil sat down-so close to Logan that their shoulders were touching.

Logan stared at him for a moment, then turned his attention quickly to taking a sip from his mug. He wasn't sure just how red his face could possibly get. He felt even more uneasy now than he had that morning, but now he was starting to understand what it was.

Logan silently cursed himself in his head, feeling stupid. How could he have not realized before? Why did this have to happen now? He was brought out of his thoughts as Virgil started talking with him, and tried his best to focus solely on what his friend was saying, and just tried to get through the rest of the day without feeling so awkward the entire time.

As time went on, it was clear that he could not just ignore his awkward feelings.

As they took a break, they ended up watching an episode of Doctor Who together. Virgil had mentioned never seeing an episode, and since he had shown Logan The Nightmare Before Christmas, Logan decided to share this show with him. It was a favorite of his, so he was happy for the excuse to watch it again. Logan had managed to forget about his silly feelings for a brief moment, until he felt Virgil shift closer over to lean against him.

It wasn't much different to how they were sitting previously, so Logan wasn't sure why he suddenly froze up at this. He wasn't sure about a lot of things today, it seemed. He glanced over at Virgil who looked right back at him.

"Are you... is this okay? I'm just cold still, and you're super warm." Virgil muttered, seeming worried and Logan nodded.

"You're fine." He said simply, not wanting Virgil to feel bad. He shifted a little, moving his arm and hesitating for a brief moment. Then he put his arm around his friend, forcing his eyes back to the show.

Even later, as they went back outside to continue with the decorating, he still couldn't avoid his thoughts. He hoped it would be better when they weren't sitting as close, while they were standing away from each other and working on different things, but it wasn't. He still couldn't help but glance at him every so often, couldn't help laughing a little bit more than usual at jokes he would make.

Even when Virgil had left later Logan couldn't stop his mind from wandering to him, to his... crush. He hated to call him that, it made him feel like a child, but he couldn't think of a better word to explain his current feelings toward the other.

He tried to reason his feelings away. Of course, that never worked with any emotions. He had found that out the hard way before, so it obviously failed now. He knew he couldn't help his feelings, but it still bothered him now illogical they were. What did he even expect to happen after realizing his feelings? Could they ever be returned?

Logan frowned, shaking his head at the thought as if that would make it go away. It didn't work-if it were that easy to forget about his feelings life would be so much easier, Logan thought.

They couldn't possibly be reciprocated, he told himself. Virgil was simply a good friend, and the two hadn't even known each other for that long. Why should he feel the same anyways? Logan didn't usually think poorly of himself, although he knew there were better people out there. Sure he and Virgil got along well, but that didn't mean they would work as anything more than friends.

Logan simply decided he was going to have to ignore these feelings. He would have to continue on as though things were normal. It was hard to pretend, when simply seeing Virgil smile as he greeted him made his cheeks burn a dark red, and caused figurative butterflies to flutter in his stomach, but he would manage.

He had to.
