Is "personal experience" the same as finding "proof"?
To clarify, is going through this walk with God enough to show you that God exists? Or is there a need for empirical evidence on our parts, to minimize the chance of us just being wrong (mentally unstable/hallucinating/perceiving purpose where there isn't any, etc)?
I don't think that God can be "proven" per say without His consent. After all, looking at it from a conceptual perspective, it is possible that the being(s)/force(s) that we consider our "Original Creator(s)" cannot be tested because he/she/it is outside the realm of science. Considering that, is there really any way to "determine the existence of God(s)"?
For my answer, I consider personal experiences to be evidence of God in my life. However, I know not everyone thinks this way. That being said it is likely that you have experienced one or more of a these things in your life:
1. Experiences/events that suggest some sort of intervention.
2. Experiences/events that don't necessarily suggest Divine intervention.
3. Scientific explanations and theories that don't necessarily require a higher power's intervention (could happen on its own [not regarding of the percent of chance])
4. Philosophy that seems to consider the "need" of a "first cause"
These are some examples that I thought of, there probably is more than just these few I listed, so if you can think of any more, please comment and I can add it to the list.
Thank you for your answers! =]
