A. God's plan. Do you believe God's plan is for (His) people to suffer?

Do you believe God just wants you to be happy?

Do you believe God is cruel for allowing suffering?

Do you believe part of God's plan involves suffering for a greater good or so that His will may be done?

Do you believe it is always God's will to heal somebody, whether from physical or mental illness?

B. Faith. Do you believe that suffering only comes because we need to "try harder" and "have more faith"? For example, people might say that a patient does not need therapy or modern medicine; they just need to pray more or believe that God will heal them.

Do you believe suffering builds faith?

C. Relationship with God.

Do you believe that suffering is the result of not trusting God enough, or not being holy enough, or displeasing God?

In other words, do you believe suffering is a punishment from God?
