Jenny wakes up in the middle of the night. It's the fifth night in a row and she feels hot in spite of the wind blowing across the window, and she is thirsty again.

She gets up cursing her insomnia and goes to the kitchen to get water, but halfway to the fridge, she finds her cat and dog, standing in front of her, ready to attack whatever is staring beside her.

She turns around slowly and to her dismay sees a man standing before her with a gun pointed right at her face.

"Well well well, what do we have here." The man asks looking her up and down.

Jenny takes a step back in horror and trips over her dog, but the man grabs her arm before she falls.

"Why don't you show me to your room?" The man asks forcefully.

He then drags her up the stairs and into her room where he then throws her onto the bed.

"My plans where to only steal from you, but plans always change." The man stated as he took his jacket off.

"What do you want from me, mister?" Jenny asked fearfully.

"I'm sure you know the answer to that question honey." The man replied with a sly smile.

The man then walked closer to the bed and sat down next to Jenny.

"Why don't you let me show you something I know you'll like?" The man asked as he gently touched Jenny's face.

Then, to Jenny's surprise, the man was sent sprawling to the floor by some unseen force, and then the man began bashing his own head on the floor till he fell unconscious.

Then a man appeared in the doorway to her room and he had perfect gold hair that fell to his shoulders like a cloud, and eyes as blue as a crisp summer sky.

"Who are you?" Jenny asked amazed.

"My name is not important anymore." The man replied looking lost and sad.

Jenny got off the bed and walked over to the man and said, "Thank you for saving me mister, but are you okay?"

"Nothing will ever be okay without her." The man replied mostly to himself.

Jenny was about to say something consoling but the man turned away and left.

Once outside...

Chris walked back to his car and got in then began to silently cry.

"What am I going to do without her," Chris asked himself.

He then cleaned himself up and drove back to his house.

Once home he busied himself with work, which was looking for more bad guys, and tracking them down.

Once he tired of the activity he decided to go for a walk at the park.

He strolled up and down the walkways and looked at all the flowers. Once he had finished he sat down at a bench to rest and to think over what happened with Briana.

Was it really my fault that she cheated on me?

Chris looked at the birds flying by as he pondered on the question. Then a bird flew towards him and landed on the bench beside him.

"Well hello, little guy," Chris stated to the bird.

The bird hopped up and down and Chris held his finger out for the bird to land on.

"What do you think I should do little bird?" Chris asked.

The bird tweeted twice then flew off doing a little twirl as he left.

Chris was left alone once again but thought was now forming in his head.

What if I move on and live life? It has got to be better than this. Briana has moved on I don't see why I shouldn't as well!

Chris then jumped to his feet and started to walk back home with renewed happiness, and to his surprise, he saw that with his happiness vibe in the air more people were also being happy as well.

This made Chris even happier which helped his surroundings.

Once Chris got home he shouted out to his maid, "Maria!"

A woman in her early twenties appeared from the kitchen door. She had a pretty face and a nice vibe about her.

"Yes sir?" Maria asked.

"I need you to make me my favorite meal today?" Chris asked excitedly.

"Okay sir, but may I ask what has changed you earlier sad appearance?" Maria asked puzzled.

"After I went for a walk I realized how silly I was being, acting like how I was. So I decided to change my way of thinking about the situation."

"Well, it's nice to see you like this sir," Maria stated with a smile.

"If you need me I'll be in my study."

"Oh, that reminds me, sir. A woman came by shortly after you left asking for you and when I told her you weren't here she insisted on waiting here. So she is in your study now."

"Okay thank you."

Chris headed to his study humming to himself, but then he opened the door and saw a person he never hoped to see again.

"Briana?"
