As the officer came up the stairs he turned the corner to see me holding Chris in my arms with my ears pinned to my head. I pointed to vezzies room and started balling again. The officer went into the room and called for backup along with an ambulance for the tiger. He padded out of the room and down the hall to were i was. As he approached he noticed I was crying and tried to reassure me everything was going to be ok. Thats when I heard vezzie in his room screaming. I got up and bolted past the officer and into the room. As I stepped through the door vezzie jumped into my arms and cried into my chest.

"I...I tried to get away from them but they were to fast." Vezzie said.

"Its ok. They're gone now and everything's going to be alright" I said as i held him and caressed his back with my claws gently"

He leaned into my touch and started to murr softly so I continued until he finished sobbing. I held his paw as we walked out into the hallway where the officer had the tiger in the ambulance and in handcuffs. I saw Chris standing and a laughing with the officer. Apparently we went to high school with him. He was apart of the crowd that made fun of me everyday. His name is Justin Clawford. He's a 5'3 Doberman and is very serious when he needs to be. After we sat and talked for a while during school we became friends. I heard that he had joined the police force and was doing good as an officer. I walked down the steps and huged him from behind he softly touched my paws and said hello there.

"I missed you justin." I said.

Caleb started to laugh as justin blushed softly. He turned to face me and smiled down at me then hugged me and whispered.

"I missed you too."

I invited him to dinner with us later here at the house and he said he would come by. I smiled and clapped happily as I turned and went back up the steps. I turned the corner and unlocked the bathroom to find the bear shaking and crying. I padded over to him and hugged him softly.

"Is everything ok?" I asked him.

"N...no. M...my dad was the one that started all of this when you and your husband moved into this part of town. I was so afraid of what would happen when I came out to him. So I never told him and when you guys moved in next door I got the courage to tell him thats when he smacked me across the face and told me I was an embarrassment to our family and disgusting vermin then punched me in the muzzle. After that he locked me in my room then came back with a knife and started cutting me and telling me to die." He said as he broke into tears.

I looked at him with tears in my eyes as I pulled him into my lap and nuzzled his neck to make him feel better. He wiped his eyes and looked at me with a smile.

"I..I guess i should head back to face my next beating from him."

"No your not going back there."

I stood up and yelled for Chris and held the bear in my arms. As Chris came up the stairs I gave him that look of concern and he nodded. He left and got Justin for me. I walked out into the hall way with Justin and told him what had happened. He looked at the bear and knew I wanted to adopt him as our son. He gave us the nod and called in a favor to the DCS office and had an agent out to the house in fifteen minutes.
