Save Her Life
Atlantis's POV
All I feel is cold, as if I'm incased in ice. My eyes shoot open.
I'm on my back, my cheek against the cold stone. My entire body hurts, but I don't think I broke anything. Or at least I hope I didn't.
I push my slack body off the ground. I'm not going down this easily. There's no way in heck. I groan as I lift myself. Everything hurts, as if I fell of a cliff. Crap that. I bet I did break something.
Once I'm up(finally), I take a look around. I almost wish I didn't.
I see Shima lying on the ground about ten feet away from me, motionless except for the breeze stirring his salmon hair. I gasp and stumble over to him, my legs almost giving out on me.
Once I've reached him, I collapse, panting heavily. The side of my face hurts, but I have no time for a stupid cheek scrape. I turn him over, earning a groan. I grin. He's not dead!
There's obviously not a first-aid kit around here, but I have the next best thing.
"YO EVERGREEN!!!" I shout, and the green haired Mage whirls around, glaring at me. "GET OVER HERE!!!"
She rolls her eyes while still firing coconuts(yes she seriously was) at the seriously ticked Demon, then runs over to me. In my head I'm doing a happy dance, but I only smile towards her.
"What," she growls, emphasizing the t. Well she's in a sassy mood. I just shake my turquoise head and answer, "Can you grow some stuff to fix him up?"
She makes a face, then sighs and pops a plant out of her hand. "How's rosemary?" I frown. I forgot that I have no idea what I want or need.
"Sounds great!" I pipe, trying to sound optimistic. I snatch the plant out of her hand and put it in Shima's mouth. I wait a few seconds, but he doesn't move.
"WHY IS THIS NOT WORKING!!!" I growl, trying to shove more of the greens in his mouth.
"YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!!!" Evergreen hisses, then begins rubbing another plant on his face.
I sigh. We're getting nowhere. "SHIEMI!!!" I yell and the blonde summoner runs over, Née on her shoulder. Yes, someone who actually has some idea of what we are attempting to do!
Shiemi sits down, her jaw dropping as she looks at Shima. "What. The. Heck. Did you do?!?!?" She exclaims, pulling the Rosemary out of his mouth. Dang it. I thought that would've worked...
The blonde begins yammering off plant names to the green man, who is now erupting with plants. Oddly enough, they come from his stomach, which is kind of disturbing.
Eventually (after about 10,000 plant names) Shiemi sits down tiredly, a huge smile on her face. "He'll be fine," she whispers, and Née disappears in a green 'poof!'.
I sigh with relief before realizing that I forgot someone. "Where's Flare?" I ask, scanning the area around us, hoping to see the red-head up in battle. But she's not.
Crap. I jump up,(my pigtails whacking evergreen in the face, oops :3) looking around frantically for her anywhere, but the only redhead I see is Shima. That's when I see her. Just a limp body next to a rock, the ground now stained the color of her hair.
"I found her!" I exclaim, and tug Shiemi along behind me as I run to Flare. I hear the healer complain a few times, but I ignore it. For all I know she could have minutes, maybe less.
We both drop down once we reach Flare, me so I can look at her, Shiemi from getting tripped. The blonde then summons her familiar and puts her head on the fire mage's chest(awkwardness O_O) I assume to check her heartbeat.
The seconds tick by slowly, almost as if taunting me. I really hope she's alive. Cirrus is already gone. I don't know if I can deal with Flare as well. Shiemi's eyes widen, and for a second I feel hopeful. Then I notice they're filled with dread.
The healer looks up at me, her green eyes sad and shakes her blonde head slowly. My eyes widen in shock. Flare and dead don't go together. She's the most alive person I know.
"S-she's DEAD?!?!?" I gasp, not believing the words that come out of my mouth.
Shiemi nods again slowly, a tear dripping down her cheek. "The first one I've lost," she whispers, then breaks out into tears. I don't hold mine back either.
I put my hand on her shoulder gently and she glances up, her face now soaked. "I SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SAVE HER!!!" She bawls, leaning on my shoulder and I pull her into a hug. She doesn't resist.
"She was already dead," I sigh, trying to calm her and myself. It doesn't really help. My eyes begin pouring as well, and Shiemi glances over at Flare's corpse, muttering off herbs I guess.
I do the opposite, looking away from the girl I used to know and singing our song slowly as I rock back & forth. During the next few minutes I catch myself stealing glances at her, and finally I give in and turn towards her.
But something seems... off. I can't place it though. It's not that she's dead- that's too obvious. It's something deeper than that.
Before I realize what she's missing, I see her eyes shoot open. But they're not Flare's eyes, the usual onyx orbs. These are sky blue. Then it hits me.
Flare isn't warm.

Clarity's POV
What. The. Heck. -Is all I have to say.
I think Atlantis & Shiemi forgot we're IN A FRIEKING BATTLE. Over here Rin, Suguro, Evergreen, Yukio and me are fighting our butts off, and they're sitting there.
"HEY GUYS!!!!" I scream, and both their heads turn to face me. I was going to yell at them some more, but then I saw their expressions. They were full of- worry?
That's when I see her. She sits up, shaking her head as if she's dizzy. There is a random stranger. She has dirty blonde hair, angular blue eyes and pale skin.
I rush over to them, the light orb trailing behind me. I reach them, and Atlantis opens her mouth to speak, but I interrupt her, furious.
"WHY THE HECK ARE YOU MEDDLING WITH STRANGERS, LETS GO!!!" I growl, then begin tugging her around but she resists.
"It's FLARE!!!" She screams, and I whirl around to see her point at the blonde. I want to laugh. That's as un- Flare as you get. I turn back to the bluenette, but I see her eyes are serious.
"Something went wrong," she whispers, tears running from her large eyes, "She lost-," Atlantis stops, choking on her sobs.
"Lost what?" I ask, all the anger gone. I am still having a hard time believing this is Flare, though.
"Her Flames," Atlantis sobs, and my eyes widen.
I didn't know it was possible to lose your magic unless you died, but somehow, someway, this girl in front of me is Flare.
But at the same time, she's not.
