Atlantis's POV
I don't know where I'm going. I wish I knew. They came in and dressed me in a sweeping ocean blue dress and let my long teal hair flow down my back. I never asked what they were doing. I've learned it's just better to observe. The servants always tell more that way. Normally they slip up at least once and spill a secret about what's happening, but today they were as silent as me. Their normal chattering never came. All they did was walk in, dress me, then walk out. I kind of wish they had done more with my hair. It's always puzzled me why my hair was partly transparent. I suppose since my magic is water, my hair resembles it, but how it came to be I never knew. I had always loved the water. When I was little, they taught me how to swim and breathe in it. Now swimming is second nature to me. I love forming waves in the large marble pool they provided me with. Now as I walk down the echoing hallways in the grand building, my urge to swim grows. That's the only downside to using element magic. Once you get used to using that element, your desire to be with it grows. Clarity is lucky, sunlight shines in her dorm all day. I hate being away from water long, and I miss it like a hand now. I sigh, wishing these halls would fill up with water and flow away, taking me with them.🔶

🔷They shove me forcefully into a large room, which shocks me. They've never really been violent, and even if I hadn't been pushed I would've gone in the room. For them to need to shove me, there must be something bad in there. It's not like I'm Flare with her fiery temper and swearing. Go figure, Fire equals crazy fiery swearer. It appears I'm the first one in the- what room is this? It looks like a royal room that was in our picture books as kids, just less happy. The room has no natural sunlight, and torches give the room an eerie, dark feeling. I shiver. I really don't like the looks of this. Have I done something wrong? Right then I see Evergreen walk in, fists clenched and teeth grinding. The flowers that are set in little glasses at the table are growing wild, which means she's probably ticked. Since her power is earth, any plants or animals are naturally drawn to her, and depending on her mood, a wolf can be a cute puppy or a savage beast. Her shoulder-length terra cotta hair is piled on top of her head in a bun, which she hates, and she has a short, lime colored dress on. She walks by me, ignoring me, and crashes down in a wooden chair at the table. She lays her head down and rips out the bun, causing her hair to flow down to her shoulders. She's definitely ticked. I wonder if I should try to brighten her mood, but the thick, chocking vines growing from the vases discourages me. I'd prefer not to be strangled today. Instead I saunter over to the other side of the table and sit down quietly, hoping I don't disturb her.
"Hfloo, Aflabid," she mumbled angrily, not raising her head.
"What?" I asked, unsure of what to say.
"I said Hello," she spat, inclining her head slightly off the table.
I stiffened at her attitude. She was always so polite and full of joy, what happened to her? I decided to risk asking her. "What did they do to you?" I whispered.
She looked back up, eyes full of tears. She stifled a sob and said quietly, "I overheard some of the Eclipse leaders talking," Then she paused. "You really don't want to know."
I looked her straight in the eye, unblinking. "I want to know," although I honestly wasn't sure if I did. More tears formed in her eyes, and the flowers began to wilt.
"They said... They said we were going away, and we could never come back." And she cried loudly, tears streaming down her cheeks and her shoulders quivering. I looked over at the vase to see the flower had completely shriveled up, never to bloom again.
