I rolled my eyes at the text over and over again. I placed my phone on the mirror stand and went into my closet to change into my pyjamas. Elsie was downstairs talking with Bennett. They looked really cute together and I hope they officially get hooked up.

I jumped onto my bed and took out my iPad. After searching through many games, I finally settled on a detective game, Linda Brown.

A few minutes after I was engrossed in the game, Elsie walked in.

"Someone's in love" I said teasingly.

Elsie threw a pillow right at my face. I retaliated and soon, it turned into a pillow fight.

"I'm resigning from my work because college is due in three weeks" I said.

"That's cool. We should actually start preparing" Elsie continued.

"Let's go shopping next week!" I smiled after my suggestion.

"That's a great idea" Elsie said.
"Get the duvet,Em! I'm feeling sleepy"

I got up and reached for the duvet in my wardrobe and also grabbed for blankets. I handed it over to Elsie, who spread it on the bed. Then, I settled beside her after placing my phone on the bedside locker. After mumbling sleepy goodnights to each other,we both fell asleep.

"Good morning" I said as soon as I opened the door and met his gaze.

"Good morning" He answered smiling at me. He got up from his seat and stood in front of me.

"I'm here to hand you this"
I handed him my resignation letter.

"Is it because of what I said?"
He scanned my face for an answer.

"Read it" I answered.

"Oh okay. I understand" He looked up at me.

"Congratulations by the way" He continued.

"Thanks" I said.

"I want to apologize again ,over a date. Just a friendly one. Let's call a truce" He offered.

I was hesitant for a while. But I was leaving here soon anyway for college,so what was the harm?

"Alright" I nodded and turned around, walking out of his office.

I returned to the Woods' residence. I hadn't spoken to Ethan in a long while. We were still ignoring each other. My mind was in a whirlwind as I dragged myself across the long, exquisite hallway. I felt a body bump into me and I jerk back into reality.
My eyes widened when I realised who had bumped into me.

"Watch where you're going!"
Ethan said.

"I think I should be the one giving you that piece of advice"
I snapped back.

"Someone's getting feisty here"
He teased.

I rolled my eyes at him. I was in no mood to deal with him.

"And we meet again"
A voice interrupted the silence.
I rolled my eyes again. I couldn't deal with another one.

"Can't you speak?Are you mute?" She asked.

"I'm not in the mood for you, okay?" I shot back.

"Aww you can speak. I thought you were mute" She said.

"Gwen,that's enough" Ethan held her arm firmly as she wanted to take a step forward to face me squarely.

I shoved past them and head for my room. What the hell was she doing here? And why in heaven's name was she wearing Ethan's shirt. Hot tears pricked my eyes and I allowed it to flow freely. I entered my room and found Elsie typing something on her laptop.

"What's wrong?"
Elsie asked, looking alarmed.

"Am I selfish?" I asked as I sobbed.

"No. What made you say that?"
Elsie asked and put my head on her shoulders as I sobbed.

"Ethan's ex-girlfriend was trying to annoy me. She was wearing his shirt too"

Elsie patted my hair gently as I continued to cry softly.

"How do you know she's his ex girlfriend?Elsie asked.

" That day when that incident happened at the hotel with Ornaldo and Ethan,she was there too. When Ethan apologised,he had told me about her and how they broke up. She was Ornaldo's ex girlfriend too "
I explained in a muffled and raspy tone.

"She's such a devil" Elsie snapped.

"I don't understand why Ethan would want her back. To get back at me? I mean, the fact that I've not admitted my feelings doesn't mean he should toy with my emotions. I get those butterflies in my stomach when he smiles and - "

Elsie let go of me as soon as the words come out of my mouth. I covered my face in embarrassment and shyness. I had just admitted my feelings for Ethan to Elsie.

"You're in love, Emily"
