[Emily's POV]

I smiled as I remembered last night's conversation. I thought it was a dream.

Deep inside,I don't feel right about this. I just don't know the particular reason. Maybe because of the fact that I have not known Ethan for long. Or maybe because I don't know if what I feel is love or just care.

I still have doubts about a lot of things. I'd have to do something about this. I have to stop this immediately before Ethan thinks that I'm leading him on.

My second alarm rang and I jumped out of my temporary reverie.

Gosh!

I'm running late. Twenty minutes to eight. I've got to get going.                                                 I stepped in the tub, filled it with warm water and had a quick but thorough bathing. Rummaging through my closet, I finally chose a pink crop top and a black flair skirt paired with lace-up sandals. I quickly say good bye to Ethan's parents and headed towards my car in the garage.

What a way to start the day! 

   My car just broke down.
I tried starting it again but it wouldn't budge. I kicked at the steering wheel in frustration. Just then, I heard a tap on the window.  Bennett!  I got out of the car and sighed.                         "What's wrong Emily?"                He asked,flashing me a multi dollar smile.    
                                                       "My car broke down. And I have to get to work in ten minutes. I'm late!" I said,shrugging.            "Don't worry. I'll drive you" He said and led me to his car that was parked on the side of the street.
      "Thanks" I said and smiled as we got into his car.

  Through the drive, our conversation was basically about acquainting ourselves. Occasionally, he threw in random questions about Elsie.  In a few minutes, we arrived at my workplace.

"Thanks once again Bennett. You're a life saver " I said to him.

"You're welcome Emily"
Bennett said and waved me goodbye.

I sighed deeply as I entered the restaurant section of the hotel.
I walked over to the counter and placed my bag on it.

"Can I have a word with you?"

A deep and familiar voice spoke.

I froze at the counter.
