Chapter 1

It was a regular day, everyone busy with missions even on a nice, warm, sunny day like this. It felt nice. I sat here on a roof top of a building as I watched the sun set one knee up with my arm relaxed on it. I sighed sadly. “I wish I remembered.” I slowly got to my feet.

“Arkxi” (Ark-z) someone called. “Their calling for you back in the training area. You better hurry or you’ll be late.”

“On my way.” I said plainly as I jumped from roof top to roof top ninja style. As I did this I felt my chest… where my heart would be… My shortish coal black hair swayed in the wined as I ran, my dull crystal blue eyes shimmered slightly in the little remaining light of the sun, they looked cute yet cool and controlled at the same time slightly narrowed. My white shirt with black “x”, which connected in the back to form another “x”, got ruffled and my black shorts that stopped a little below my knees, which were a little baggy, stuttered as my black and silver sneakers that came up to my ankles squeaked. I had black gloves with a red “x” on both, also my silver cloth hung from my shorts like a chain. As I slowed to a stop I looked back the way I came then sighed. The sun had set completely. I then jumped off the tile roof I was on and stood in front of a building. It was called “organization training” I went in and a bell rang.

“Ah, Arkxi, you’re here.” A man said.

“Hello Master Xemnas.” I said in a low tone. He sighed.

“Let’s just get straight to training shall we?” he gestured to a room with the door open where I was to train, so I walked in. Once I was in the door shut behind me, I sighed. This was normal. A few heartless came out. Again predictable. What surprised me was that I got to fight a few Invisible’s. I summoned my claws on my wrists, made my shoes disappear then summoned my ankle claws.

“Bring it.” I said slightly. They attacked. I dogged then countered with a strike in the head. I got one down in one blow. I got hit a few times by the other three but I stabbed them in the chest or the back and it was all over. I sighed and the door opened. My claws disappeared and my shoes reappeared.

“Well done.” Xemnas said. I bowed respectfully. “Let’s go back home, to the world that never was.” I nodded and Master Xemnas made a portal then walked in it with me trailing behind.

“NO!!”

“DON’T DO THIS!!”

“You’re crazy if you do it!!”

Voices filled my head as I lay on my bed. It gave me a head ache. “Please….. Stop…..” I growled in a low tone and after a while they stopped. “Who was I?” I looked up at my ceiling, raised my hand and stared at the back of it... Looking for something… Answers?? What was I REALLY looking for? Was that it? Just Answers? Being like this, no memory of who I was before this, it hurt. I only knew my age and my birthday. Everything else was a blank. I sighed, I do that a lot, and started to fall asleep, and begin to be engulfed by the dark of night. My mind drifted in an ocean of thought. I slept till day. It was around noon as I got up. I put on my usual attire and headed out the door. Hands in pockets and deep in thought. I went to the park not too far from my home and I sat in an oak tree, pretty high up, and watched everyone. I never got missions since I was only thirteen and still training. The difference from the other nobodies in training is that they remember who they were when they had hearts. But I don’t. Not a thing. I only remember my age and birthday and that’s about it… wait I said that already… oops, well you get the point. I also have a lack of emotion. It’s not all bad though. I mean I might have had a terrible life before or something. But I’ll never know. I jumped off the tree and went to the swings. “This life… it’s not so bad…” I stared off in to the horizon and thought of what to do… it was a weekend so I had the day off like the other nobodies in training. “Guess I’ll go to an arcade.” I sighed and made a portal. I arrived in Twilight town in an ally so no one saw. I walked to an arcade and bought some tokens. “This should be enough for the day.” I stated then walked to a game and started to play.

“Aw, so close!” I heard a voice. It sounded familiar.

“ARGH! Whatever…” another voice called. It also sounded familiar. The two owners of the voices started to walk by. Both were boys one had short silver hair and it spiked at the tips the other had brown hair that spiked up. They looked at me and looked a little shocked but then that look disappeared as they left. I shrugged.

“Who were they?” I asked myself. I shook it off then went to play some games. A few hours later I started to go get some ice cream. “Vanilla please.”

“Sure, here ya go.” The ice cream man said with a smile. I nodded and paid him and went to a roof top like yesterday and sat down, opened my ice cream, began to eat and started to watch the sun set yet again on another nice day.

“Why can’t I remember?” I said.

“Remember what?” a voice said from below me. It was those two from the arcade. I just stared silently as they came up and stood behind me. I stood and turned to face them.

“Why should I tell you?” I said in a low tone.

“You don’t have to. But at least tell us your name.” the one with brown hair said. “I’ll start, I’m Sora.” Sora smiled and put his hands behind his head. “Hi.”

“I’m Riku.” The one with silver hair stated. “sup.” I sighed.

‘They won’t like this. I’ve heard that their against us.’ I sighed.

“I’m Arkxi.” I said plainly. “Hello.”

“It’s nice to meet you Arkxi.” Sora’s smile grew bigger.

“Yeah, nice to meet ya.” Riku slightly smiled. I didn’t smile. I never really did.

“I guess so…” I saw the time. “I should get going.” I said as I started to jump from roof top to roof top. I then made sure no one was following me and made a portal back home. I went in my room and plopped on my bed face first. “That seemed like… déjà vu…” I said in a low tone to myself. I fell asleep a few hours later. I tossed and turned at my dream.

I woke up the next day somewhat rattled about her dream. “That was weird.” I said as I went out again. Today was my last day off so I went to Twilight town and played some arcade games and such. Twilight town’s starting to grow on me.

“Hey Arkxi!” I heard Sora as I entered the arcade so I turned.

“Hello.” I said in my usual plain tone. He smiled.

“How are ya?” he asked.

“I’m fine. How about you?”

“I’m good.” He chuckled then Riku came in.

“Hi Arkxi. How are you.” He asked.

“Hello Riku. I’m fine what about you?”

“I’m ok.” He stated with a slight smile. I invited them to some ice cream after a while of playing games. We went to the cloak tower instead of a roof top and watched the sun set.

“Arkxi, how many games did you play?” Sora asked with a somewhat childish tone.

“Forty two maybe fifty I think. What about you Sora?”

“Not as much as you!” he laughed. Riku had a shocked look on his face. “Hey,” Sora now sounded serious. “You kind of look familiar... I can’t put my finger on it though…” he ate his chocolate ice cream as he thought.

“It’s nice up here. I can see you like high up places Arkxi.” Riku stated at the wind blew his hair back. It messed with Sora’s and my hair too.

“It relaxes me.” I stated and we kept talking until the sun set. I went back home to the world that never was and back home. As I lay on my bed I looked up at the ceiling, raised my hand and stared at the back of it thinking of the comment Sora said.

“You kind of look familiar... I can’t put my finger on it though…”

I sighed and kept thinking about that. I didn’t sleep much as my mind raced through memories searching for answers.
