It seemed like hours before I was finally able to rest. I immediatly passed out, welcoming the blackness that encased my mind at long last. When I woke up, I was alone in the hospital room. Whatever had happened between arriving and now was a blur to me, and my head was still in a lot of pain, but it wasn't remotely as bad as it had been. Just then, a woman in a white coat walked in. "Why, hello miss. I see you're finally awake." She smiled broadly, her dark brown hair in a high ponytail. "F-finally?" I stammered, sitting up quickly only to be brought back down by a staggering headache. "Oooh, calm down calm down, you're going to hurt yourself." The doctor rushed to my side and gently laid me back down. She checked my heart rate and all that good stuff as she spoke. "Yes, finally. You've been out for about a day now." "A d-day?!" I cried out, attempting to sit up again. The doctor quickly held me down. "Yes, a day. Miss, you have a concussion, along with a few broken fingers; your pinky and ring finger on your (dominant) hand and the index finger of your (non dominant) hand." As she mentioned my fingers, I held up my hands, seeing the casts. Only then did I feel the pain shooting up my arms. I guess the pain in my known wound had drowned out the pain of my unknown ones. I cried out at the unexpected wave of pain eminating from my fingers as they throbbed.

The doctor quickly stood and fiddled with my IV,  injecting something into it. Soon after, the pain subsided, and I sighed in relief. She wrote something down on her chart. "Now, ma'am, I don't know your name. The man who brought you in said he didn't know it, and you were in no condition to ask." I blinked groggily, whatever she put in my IV starting to make me drowsy. "Oh, my name.. My name is... uh... ­(Y/N). (Y/N)... (L/N). Yeah. That's it." The doctor nodded. "Alright. I'm Dr. Walters. If you need anything, just push that button on the arm of your bed." She pointed to the button before pushing through the curtain. I drifted back to sleep.
