Chapter 14. Concert!

Hey guys! It's been a while hasn't it? I had my five year anniversary with my boyfriend and then a deadline for my apprenticeship and that's on top of my job so I've been quite busy! But here I am back again!

Choromatsu's pov

I stared down at my phone screen, unsure whether to press the send button. It was my turn to take Mia-chan on a 'date' and I had never felt more nervous. It'll only be a date to me anyway... I thought.

Me and my brothers had come to an agreement. We all liked Mia and after finding out about Osomatsu's night out with her, we decided each of us would get a turn to try and win her over since our shitty eldest got a chance. We would invite her to hang out with each of us and at some point, after we all got a chance, we would confess to her. It sounded insane and I couldn't help but believe we'd just face a massive rejection in the end. Mia was amazing, beautiful and funny. Why would she like shitty NEETS like us? And besides who heard of six guys asking a girl out at the same time?! Yet that was the only way to make it fair.

I focused on the text message I had written out. Mia had shown a clear love of music and had said she wouldn't mind attending a Nyaa-chan concert with me at some point. There was one this Friday night and I really wanted her to come with me. What if she says no? What if she was just being kind when she said she wouldn't mind coming with me?

I was so wrapped up in my own thoughts I didn't notice Osomatsu peer over my shoulder. Before I could even stop him he just pressed the send button nonchalantly, a shit-eating grin on his face. "OI! WHAT THE HELL?" I yelled at him.

"What? You were taking too long! Ichimatsu, Jyushimatsu and Todomatsu would've gotten impatient with the amount of time you were spending trying to set up your date." He muttered, not really paying attention to me. "STILL!" I went to yell at him more when a small ping sounded from my phone. I looked over at it and quickly snatched the phone from the floor. Osomatsu just grinned knowingly as he pulled out some manga and began reading.

Mia: Of course I'd love to come! It'll be super fun! How much are the tickets? Want me to buy them? 😊

I felt my heart explode and I quickly responded, a big grin spread across my face.

Choromatsu: It's okay! I can buy them. I'm super excited now!

Friday night couldn't come quicker.

Third-person pov

"Tatsumi I've finished up here." Mia yelled out as she finished cleaning the Cafe front. Even though it had been a stressful day, she was just looking forward to the concert she had planned with the third eldest sextuplet.

"Ah okay! I'm basically done here if you wanna get off." Tatsumi smiled at Mia as she entered the staff room. Mia took off her apron and opened her locker to get her bag out. "You look happy. What you got going on tonight?" Tatsumi asked, noticing Mia's grin.

"I'm going to a concert with a friend." Mia said with happiness in her voice. "Oooo the way you're talking are you sure it's not a boyfriennddd???" Tatsumi teased as she poked Mia's cheek. "N-N-NO!" Mia squealed, her thoughts floating back to the kisses she shared with the two eldest brothers. Tatsumi hummed at this reaction, a knowing grin on her face. She asked about the concert and Mia began to talk about it. She didn't know what to expect from a Nyaa-chan concert but hearing how enthusiastic Choromatsu was about it, she was sure she would enjoy it.

"Hey Tatsumi." Mia's voice came to an abrupt stop as she quickly whipped her head to the now open staff room door. "Ah Yuriko!" The blue-haired girl watched her boss approach the other girl with a smile, pulling her into a hug. Mia scurried to finish up and grab her things.

"Mia. How are you?" That sickly sweet smile made Mia's stomach drop as she gave a weak smile in return. "I'm well. Thanks for asking." She shuffled to the door, saying goodbye to both girls before running out of the cafe.

She walked as fast as she could towards the town centre where Choromatsu had asked her to meet him. Her mood had gone down considerably and was still trying to calm herself down by the time she arrived in front of Choromatsu.

"Mia-chan!" Choromatsu greeted her with his usual smile, his face slightly red as he rubbed the back of his head. He couldn't help but admire her appearance. She was wearing a pair of red converse and some denim shorts along with a tight plain black t-shirt. Even when wearing such a simple outfit she looks so perfect!

"From experience, I know concerts can get quite hot so I thought this would be good." Mia said, noticing that Choromatsu was looking her up and down. "Y-Y-Yes!" Choromatsu stuttered out. They got into the slowly growing line and Mia felt the stress from earlier float away as she watched Choromatsu talk about the concert.

He's so passionate and excited about this... It's adorable.

"None of my brothers like this sort of thing. I was worried you wouldn't like it too." He blushed, looking away. "I am always willing to try new things, especially with music! I've never really gotten into idol music but it would be a nice change of pace to my usual music taste." Mia gave him a reassuring pat on the back and he nearly shot into the sky. "I-I-IM GLAD!"

The doors eventually opened and they went into the small concert hall. It wasn't as large as other concerts Mia had been too but it was reasonably sized and they had managed to get very close to the front. "We got a good spot!" Mia cheered, pushing her arms into the air.

"I didn't expect you to be so excited Mia-chan." Choromatsu beamed, holding the same enthusiasm as her.

"Well seeing how excited you were got me fired up! And besides concerts have the best vibes don't they?" She said with an enthusiastic tone. Choromatsu nodded quickly in response, his smile wide. As they waited Mia noticed most of the people around were guys. I guess that's the kinda audience idols attract...

Eventually, the concert started and Nyaa-chan ran on stage. She began to sing and the crowd was going wild, many people holding up lightsticks. All the concerts Mia had been to had been outside of Japan and so she had never really used lightsticks. They weren't really a thing at gigs in the UK. Mia felt a nudge on her shoulder and looked over to see Choromatsu holding two out. "It's more fun with them!" He yelled over the crowd, causing the girls face to flush red. AH! That was too cute just now!

She snatched the lightsticks from his hand and joined in with the crowds jumping. The songs were surprisingly fun to listen to and Mia found herself enjoying the concert. Every now and then she'd turn to look at Choromatsu who was completely enthraled by the performance, squealing about how Nyaa-chan was cute. I mean he ain't wrong. She is super cute.

When it ended, Choromatsu turned to Mia who was red from all the jumping. "That was brilliant! I haven't been to a concert in a while and this one was so good!" She was breathing heavily, a sparkle in her eye.

"Mia-chan you're super red! Stay here I'll go grab you a drink!" Choromatsu smiled before rushing away from their spot to the vending machines by the exit. People were slowly funnelling out of the concert hall yet there was still a good amount of people who were stood talking about the concert. Loud whispers came from some guys near to Mia and she took no notice of it until someone approached her.

"You like Nyaa-chan?" She turned towards the two guys standing in front of her. They looked a bit older than the sextuplets and were both kitted out in full Nyaa-chan merch. "Ah I've actually only just heard her music today." She responded, letting out an awkward laugh.

They both took a step closer as they continued to rant on about the idol, Mia becoming uncomfortable with how close they were getting. One of them tried to shove some of their merch into her face, telling her she could have it but she quickly declined. "Well girls are always accepted in the Nyaa-chan fandom!" One of them reached forward and grabbed Mia's hand. She felt herself wince as her hand was trapped in a tight sweaty grip. "Especially when they're as hot as you."

"What the fuck?" Mia yanked her hand back and the boys faces quickly turned aggressive. "Come on we're being nice to you no need to be such a bitch!" One of them snarled, reaching his hand out again. Mia stepped back quickly, nearly tumbling over in shock. Are these guys serious?

"What's going on here?" Choromatsu's voice rang out from behind the two guys and he quickly walked around them to Mia's side. "None of your business!" One of them growled and the other pointed to Choromatsu. "Yeah back off skinny boy we saw her first!"

The third eldest sextuplet felt himself getting angrier by the second as he stared at these poor excuses for humans. He felt a hand grab his and he glanced over at his crush. Her face seemed angry yet her hand was shaking violently.

She was afraid.

He'd had enough of them. He knew he couldn't actually fight them because it was two on one but he needed a way to get them to lose interest. An idea popped into his head and he felt his face turn red slightly. He clenched his fists and took a deep breath.

"You didn't see her first! She's my girlfriend!" He squeaked out, his voice cracking in embarrassment. Mia's grip on his hand tightened as she looked at him with a mixture of shock and confusion. Is he trying to get them to back off?

"Hahh? No way!" Both of them laughed at Choromatsu's face. "She's not your girlfriend stop lying." They glared at him and Choromatsu felt a pit at the bottom of his stomach where his insecurities were. Mia noticed his expression instantly and shouted. "OH YEAH? IS HE NOT? WELL EXPLAIN THIS!" She yanked Choromatsu's collar and pulled his face into hers, their lips colliding together. Choromatsu yelped in shock but quickly kissed back, his hands shakingly landing on her hips. Both the guys groaned at the display and were seemingly going to say something else when they noticed the other people in the room were beginning to notice the commotion. They begrudgingly walked away, cursing under their breaths.

They pulled apart, Mia's hands still gripping his collar and his hands still on her hips. They both stared at each other for a second before properly jumping a good two meters apart. "S-S-SORRY ABOUT THAT!" Mia yelled, covering her face with her hands.

Choromatsu couldn't muster a response as his face heated up for the millionth time that night.  SHE KISSED ME. I KISSED HER. I WAS HOLDING HER. SHE WAS SO SOFT. FUCK. His mind was going mental as Mia slowly approached him, still covering her face slightly. "S-Sorry Choromatsu... They just weren't leaving, I was getting really angry and so I thought that would work." Choromatsu shook his head as quickly as physically possible. "I-I-It's all good!!" He practically shouted, trying to calm his body down. "Nice quick thinking though." Mia muttered.

"I got the idea from a manga..." He buried his face in his hands, feeling incredibly embarrassed at the whole situation.

They eventually left the concert hall after a few minutes of drinking some water and composing themselves. "That was a lot of fun though. I'm glad I came." Mia smiled shyly as the cold air from outside hit them both.

"Y-Yeah! I'm so happy that you like Nyaa-chan." Choromatsu tried to respond in a steady voice though found it difficult. He had started to think he'd never be kissed by anyone. They began walking in the direction of their homes when Mia spotted a girl standing outside a shop close by, a boy standing with her. Her heart sank once again as the girl approached the two, a sharp smirk on her face.

Choromatsu followed Mia's gaze and his eyes landed on the girl. Her hair was long and dyed a platinum blonde, it was clearly well kept. She had a tall thin build which was only accentuated by her heels. Choromatsu looked up and his eyes focused on her face and the the pink lipstick she was wearing.

"Ahh Mia I didn't know you'd be here." Mia gulped as she mentally kicked herself. She must have heard when I was talking about the concert before!

"Yuriko." Mia mumbled, wanting to grab Choromatsu's hand again. She turned towards the boy and also gave a low mumble. "Kenta." The larger guy stood behind the girl, not saying a word.

"Sooo who's the boy? I didn't think you were going for boys nowadays." Mia physically tensed up at her words, a lump forming in her throat. "H-He's my friend." She replied, trying so hard not to let a sliver of fear escape in her words. Choromatsu felt very confused by what was happening. Mia clearly knew who these two were yet she was speaking in such a cold voice. It was completely different from the happy, laid-back Mia he knew.

"How have you been Yuriko?" Mia seemingly out of nowhere seemed to be back to her usual self, a bright smile back on her face and her voice as chipper as ever. Maybe I was worrying over nothing?

"I've been fine. I'm just wondering about who your friend is?" The girl responded, her eyes not moving from the third eldest brother. "I'm Choromatsu." He introduced himself and inched slightly closer to Mia, their elbows now touching. This girls gaze was making him incredibly uncomfortable. Something about her eyes...

"Well, it's nice to meet you Choromatsu." He really didn't like the way his name sounded coming from her mouth. Her happy voice sounded completely fake.

"Mia-chan we need to leave. Osomatsu-niisan will eat my food if I don't get home." He made up a semi-fake excuse before grabbing her hand. "Nice meeting you." He gave a fake smile before pulling Mia along with him. The girl smirked before waving as the two speed-walked away.

When he believed they were far enough, they stopped and he turned Mia to face him, his hand still holding hers. "Who was she?" He asked in a stern voice. She looked up at the boy, her eye's slightly glossy as she muttered. "Just an old classmate. I haven't seen her in a long while so I was kinda shocked to see her!" She gave a smile, hoping in the back of her mind he would just drop it.

"Well, she's seemed creepy to me." Choromatsu sighed, a shiver running down his spine. Mia nodded in agreement, just relieved he wasn't asking anymore.

"Your flat isn't too far let's just get you home." She nodded with a weak smile and when he was about to pull his hand away her grip tightened slightly. Choromatsu smiled lightly and kept his hand in hers until they reached the flat door. "Is Jax home?" He asked and she shook her head. "No, he went to stay at his mum's tonight." She unlocked the door and stepped inside.

"Thank you for today Choromatsu. Sorry I kissed you." She laughed quietly, a faint blush appearing on her face. "I told you it's fine." The boy responded with a bashful smile, his face bright red. "Goodnight Mia. Please message me if you need me." He said the second part a bit quieter and she nodded silently. "Goodnight." She shut the door and felt her back hit it as she slid down to the ground. Tears finally escaped her eyes and she buried her face in her knees.

I didn't want her to know about them. I don't want to involve them. I can handle this on my own. I have to handle it on my own.

I'm back babbyyyyy

Until next time bye!- Jude
