Yukino

I walked through the forest as I hid from whoever was following me. It's been fifteen years since I left. Fifteen years since I saw the people I care about die in front of me. Fifteen years since I killed him.

Do I regret it? No. I don't regret it. Then why does my chest hurt every time I think about him? He was nothing more than a toy soldier that would do anything I commanded it to do. He was just a tool so I could survive.

I sighed as I quickly tied my pick hair into two ponytails. I looked around trying to figure out where I was. I dropped the heavy bag that I was carrying and quickly flew up to the treetops to see if I could pinpoint my location.

To my right was the Hidden Cloud Village. People cheered with glee as their new Raikage took the responsibility of running their country. To my left was the Hidden Stone Village. The people cried as their Tsuchikage pass away at an old age. Tragic indeed.

I looked to the direction that I was headed and noticed it was the way towards the Hidden Sand Village. I had heard that the young Kazakage had a child after the Fourth Great Ninja War. The little brat was so important that the Kazakage never left his side as he waited for his beloved to wake up from her death like slumber. "Idiot."

I flew back down and continued. I dragged the body behind me as I continued to walk. The melody of the forest playing in the background as my journey continued. Confused? Let's go back. Way back.

Fifteen years ago

"Get back here you brat!!" A sound ninja shouted as I was being chased out of the village. My first instinct was to hide, however, I was cornered.

"Shit!" I cursed under my breath. The ninjas quickly surrounded me as I have nowhere to go. My own chose was to fight back. I got my fighting stand as I was ready to use the shadows to escape.

"Too far from home don't you think Yukino Sara?" I glared at the person who had spoken with my aqua blue eyes.

"Who said I ever had a home Orochomaru?" I replied with a growl. He chuckled as he stepped forward. My shadows quickly wrapped around him keeping him in place.

"I see you were prepared for anything. You abilities are interesting. Say, let's make a deal my dear." Orochimaru said as he licked his lips. I continued to glared and have my shadows tighten around him.

"Why would I want to do something like that? Do you think I'm stupid? I know you just want my power but you won't have it!" I shouted as I flew up into the sky. I flew away as fast as I could until I knew I was safe.

"Stupid snake!" I hissed. I looked around and noticed that I was near the Hidden Leaf Village. Quickly, I ran towards the entrance and zoomed passed the guards. I ran into what seemed like an abandoned compounded and research for shelter.

I found a huge house with a clan crest at the front of the door and ran inside. I quickly rubbed my hands together to create friction. Soon after I thought it was enough I clapped and fire appeared at my fingertips.

I heard little water drops as it started to rain outside. I turned to look out one of the windows then turned my attention back to where I was going. I stumbled across a flight of stairs and decided to check it out.

The hallways were empty. No pictures on the walls, no expensive things, no anything. Then again, this place is abandoned. So why do I feel like I'm being watched?

"Don't be stupid, you're all alone." I said to myself. I walked into the first room I saw and looked around.

It had plain white walls and a small bed in near the window. To the left of that was a small toy box and across from that was a small TV. I walked around the room until I stepped on something. I looked down and saw a stuffed toy dinosaur.

"I wonder who used to live here?" I asked as I made the flames on my right hand disappear. I picked up the dinosaur and smiled. I walked out of the room and walked into the room farther down the hallway.

"I wonder what happened to-"

'Creek'

I quickly turned around and ran to the room all the way at the end of the hallway. I closed the door behind me and locked it. I closed all the windows and made the fire disappear. I quickly hid under the bed and hugged the dinosaur like my life depend on it.

'Step'

'I'm so fucked right now!' I thought as I closed my eyes.

'Step'

'Please let me live! I just don't want to hurt this person!'

'Step step step'

The sound of footsteps echoed through the house. The closer they got the more fear I had. I don't want to die but I also don't want to kill this person.

As I fought the urge not to attack the person, the door to the room opened. I stayed quite and still as possible. I didn't move a muscle. I knew if I moved I would either have to kill this person or die.

"I know you're here. Come out." A deep male voice demanded. I watched as he walked around the room before stopping right in front of where I was.

"Come out." I heard him said again. I shook my head slowly and stayed where I was. I heard my stomach growl and I'm sure he heard it too. I heard a sigh then some shifting. Soon a rice ball was place at the edge of the bed. I stared at it before shaking my head again.

"Come out and eat. I know you're hungry so just eat it." The man said as I heard the bed creak. I looked at the man's legs as they face away from me letting me know that he had sit down. I slowly reached for the food but decided against it.

'No I can't!! What if it's a trap!! Then what!? I don't want no more blood on my hands!!' I thought as I just stayed where I was. I was to busy fighting with myself that I didn't notice that the rice ball was now two inches away from my face. I picked it up and started eating slowly.

"Itachi." I stopped eating and stared at his feet. I watched as him slid down to where I could see his lower back. "My name's Itachi." I nodded but remembered he couldn't see me I knocked once on the ground.

"Do you have a name?" He asked. I knocked once.

"Can you tell me what it is?" I knocked twice.

"Can you speak?"

'Knock'

"Do you trust me?"

'Knock knock'

"Why?" I stayed silent. I finished eating and place the wrapper on the ground and took out a small pencil. I wrote what I wanted to say and slide it towards him. He picked it up and read it.

"'I don't know you so why should I trust you. You could be an enemy who wants to kill me. If you try to kill me I wouldn't hesitate to kill you.' Now why do you think I would want to kill you? I don't know who you are but I know you wouldn't harm me." Itachi said as he placed the wrapper back on the ground. I quickly grabbed it and started to write again. I finished and passed it to him.

"Huh? Oh. 'You don't know anything about me. Just leave and you won't be hurt. All I wanted was to hide from some people so just leave.' Why are you being chased? Did you do something wrong?" He asked after he finished reading. I knocked once the twice.

"Can't you please talk so I can know if you're really here and it's not some ghost?" Itachi asked as he turned slightly.

"Happy?" I questioned as I stayed under the bed.

"Yes, now that I know that I'm talking to a girl and not a ghost." I rolled my eyes and rested my head on the dinosaur.

"Do you live here? I mean it doesn't seem like anyone has lived here for years." I replied as I moved my feet left to right. I heard him sigh then he laid in front of me. I was able to see his face but wasn't so sure if he was able to see mine.

"Well, I come here from time to time. This house used to belong to my parents. I know you have something that belonged to my little brother in your arms so I ask you to please give it back." He said extending his hand. Quickly I scooted away from him and held the dinosaur close to my chest. I tried so hard to find a way out but he just crawled under the bed.

"Please come out." He stated more than asked. I shook my head which resulted in me hitting my head. I heard him chuckle and I just glared at him.

"Asshole." I murmured. I tried to rub my head but I didn't have much room to move.

"I just want you to come out." He said as he scooted closer towards me. I tried to move away but he was face to face with me. He stared at me for a while before touching my cheek. Worse mistake of your life!

"WHAT THE FUCK!!" He shouted as I bit him. He moved around hitting his head making me laugh. I quickly crawled out from under the bed and ran towards the door. I saw a cloak with red clouds on it and put it on.

I ran down the hallway towards the stairs. I heard him running after me so I used my flying to lose him. I flew out of the living room window only to by met with rain. I looked back and noticed him was still following me. I held the dinosaur closed to me and continued to fly out of the village.

"WAIT!! WAIT PLEASE!!!" Itachi shouted and flew up even more to a point that I knew he won't be able to see my face but to a point where I could still hear him.

"WHAT!?" I shouted back. He stopped right under me and looked up.

"Who are you!!?" He shouted. I debated whether I should tell him or not. I bit my lip and whispered a 'fuck' under my breath.

"Yukino!" I said before turning around to leave.

"I'm Itachi Uchiha but you already knew that." He replied. I looked at him and for some strange reason my heart started to beat faster. I shook my head and turned away.

"Nice to meet you Itachi Uchiha. I must leave now." I said as I was about to fly away.

"Hope we meet again Yukino Sara." My eyes widened but I flew away before he could said anything else.

Back to present day

There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about that day. The day I met Itachi. The day that change me. The day I met him.
