This is very simple to comprehend. I love to make my voice growl! Especially when singing along to the Christina Aguilera version of "Merry Christmas Baby" and a LOT of songs by Garth Brooks, which both require growls. I'm not talking about screams (that's another subject for another time), I'm talking about the melodic growls that are NOT tremolo!

Being able to growl and being a choir girl isn't all sunshine and rainbows. A lot of the songs you can audition for don't have you sing from your soul/growl.
