Uni's p.o.v

I slowly pushed myself up from my bed. Then I remembered what today was. My birthday. I didn't care much about my birthday, so today was like any other, or at least I thought it would've been. I grabbed my glasses and put them on then I got out of bed and changed into my normal clothes. I then exited my room and quietly snuck down the stairs. Shelby and SGC normally sleep in pretty late so I didn't want to disturb them. But to be fair I slept in pretty late, it was already like 1:30pm.

When I got downstairs I expected Cory to be there but he wasn't. Weird. But I shrugged it off. Maybe Ashlie or someone else needed him. I yawned and stretched. I rubbed my eyes then adjusted my glasses.

What to do now? I sighed thinking about the question. I could go hang out with Tommy or Nick, or Dawn, or Jon. But I didn't want to bother them. I grumbled then sat down in a chair. I glanced around the kitchen throwing to see if I could see anything that would help me decided what to do.

After a few minutes of thinking I just gave up. But then I looked out the window. It was very sunny out. I smiled. I'll go for a walk! I got up from the chair and threw on my coat and shoes. I swung open the door and exited. I took a deep breathe of fresh air.

I then began to walk. Birds chirped as the sun shone down. I missed this weather. I continued to stroll down the streets happily.

Cory's p.o.v

I rushed around the store grabbing what I needed. I was planning for a very special date for Uni because it was his birthday. I know he doesn't care much about his birthday but I care. I decided I was going to have a picnic for the date because of the warm weather.

So far I had water melon, some sandwiches, cookies, and a few other random things. I continued to trot around the store. I knew I had to make something special for Uni but I didn't know what.

I sighed and grabbed a few more things off shelves. Once I finished I quickly paid then rushed out of the store. I put the stuff in the trunk of my car then I hopped in. I then began to drive to Ashlie's. I had left all the picnic stuff at her place so that Uni wouldn't see it.

I pulled up to her apartment building then got out. I grabbed all the bags then walked in. I took the elevator up to her room. I knocked on the door. I heard shuffling then Ashlie opened the door. She smiled at me and let me in. As I set the stuff out I noticed that Nick was there. I smiled at him.

"Hey Nick."

"Hey Cory, what's up?"

"It's Uni's birthday."

"Oh yeah! Shoot! I was so wrapped up in stuff that I forgot! I hope he'll forgive me!"

"Oh don't worry, he doesn't really care about his birthday."

"Oh." I chuckled.

"Anyway, I have to pack stuff so yeah," I said before turning around and emptying the bags. I then grabbed the picnic basket and began to fill it up with stuff. I gently placed in the water melon and other stuff. I placed a few ice packs into the basket. Then I turned to Ashlie. But she wasn't there. She seemed to have went to her room.

I walked down the hall leading to her bedroom. I gently knocked on the door. She then answered.

"What's up Cory?"

"Oh I just need help with something," I explained.

"And what would that something be?"

"Well I wanted to make something special for Uni but I don't know what."

"Hm, maybe you could make him a cake."

"Meh, I don't know how to make a cake."

"Then learn. There is this thing called google that can teach you."

"Oh yeah...," I mumbled,"Thanks Ashlie!" I exclaimed before running back towards the kitchen. I then began to raid Ashlie's fridge. I grabbed my phone and googled cake recipes. I then picked one and began to find all the ingredients I needed.

After that I went through the very messy process of me creating a cake. For some reason the only cake pan Ashlie had was heart shaped. I poured the cake mix in and shoved it into the oven. I sighed.

"Let's hope it's good," I mumbled. Then I went through a long effort of me trying to put the picnic basket in the fridge because I didn't want the stuff in it to go bad. I know what you're thinking 'Cory, why didn't you just put all the stuff in the fridge in the first place?" And the answer is that I didn't think about that and I was too lazy to take everything back out. Finally I ended up getting it into the fridge.

After the cake was done it was already 3:30. I wanted to start the date at sunset but I guess I could go a bit early. I took the picnic basket out of the fridge and put the cake into it. I grabbed the decorations I had gotten then left.

Ashlie's p.o.v

I was sitting in my room with a sad Nick. He was kind of confused.

"Tommy has been avoiding me and it reminds me of the incident that happened at the resort but we agreed to just be friends. I don't understand why he's avoiding me."

"Hm, well Nick maybe you should try and talk to him."

"I have! But he either doesn't respond or runs away."

"Oh, well maybe you should do some detective work."

"I should! Good idea Ashlie. I just hope I can fix things with him. I don't know what I'd do without Tommy."

"Me neither," I mumbled. I gave Nick a quick hug.

"Now go do some detective work and figure out what's up with Tommy!"

"Yeah!" Nick exclaimed before running away. I smiled. It's good to know that I'm trusted with almost everyone's secrets and whatnot. But now I really am curious. What is up with Tommy?

Cory's p.o.v

I set up the last detail. I backed up and admired my work. It looked great. But now I had to get his reaction. I skipped home. I entered and saw Uni sitting in the kitchen on his phone.

"Hey Uni!"

"Oh hey Cory, I missed you today."

"I missed you too, anyway I need to show you something. Come on!" I exclaimed grabbing his hand and pulling him out the door.

We ran to where I set up the picnic. As we slowly approached where I set it up I smiled wider. Then we made it. Uni gasped at the sight. It was just like the date he prepared for me before. A picnic blanket under a large tree covered with fairy lights with a picnic basket on the blanket. And then the perfect background of the sun setting.

He smiled and looked back at me. He then tackled me in a hug. I chuckled and hugged back. We then walked up to the picnic blanket and sat down. I then set out the food.

We dug into everything. It was pretty good. But now was the moment of truth. The cake.

"I have one last surprise for you," I said to Uni.

"Ooo! What is it?" He asked. I smiled and slowly pulled out the cake and placed it down.

"Do you like it?" I asked. Uni smiled widely.

"I love it, did you make it?"

"Yeah," I smiled.

"Wow." He smiled. I then cut us both a piece. Now to test if it tastes good. I winced as Uni took a bite. But then I smiled when he appeared to like it. I sighed in relief.

"This is amazing Cory!" He exclaimed smiling.

"T-thanks," I said blushing a bit. He then gave me another big hug. He grabbed my hands and stared into my eyes.

"This has been the best date ever. Thank you," he said before he leaned in and kissed me. I blushed and kissed back. The kiss then ended. We smiled at each other.

"Happy birthday."

I missed SGC's birthday so I'll do a chapter on that when I feel like it then place it where it belongs in the book. Anyway, have a great day/night. You guys are amazing. Goodbye! :)
