Cory's p.o.v

I was sitting in the living room making a list of what we need for thanksgiving. Later today everyone is coming over. We each were assigned to bring some type of food. Uni, Jon, SGC, Shelby, and Ashlie were in charge of desert. Nick, Dawn, Bri, and Tommy were in charge of snacks. And I was in charge of the main meal. Lucky for me Uni, SGC, and Shelby can help me with that.

On my list I had turkey, corn, mashed potatoes, gravy, bread, and other stuff that was at thanksgiving dinners. I was almost done the list when Shelby, SGC and Uni came downstairs.

"Hey Cory!" They all said.

"Hey guys," I answered.

"What's up?" Shelby asked.

"Im making a grocery list,"

"Need any help?" Uni asked.

"Um, well im basically done but you guys could come with me to the grocery store and help get all the stuff,"

"Okay!" SGC said excitedly. I got up and grabbed the list. I put on my coat and shoes and shoved the list into my pocket. I waited for the others to put their coats and shoes on. Once they did we walked outside and got into my car. We drove to the grocery store.

Once we got there we decided that each of us would get a piece of the list to make things more efficient. I was in charge of finding the turkey, corn, and potatoes. The others had stuff like gravy and ham. Anyway, i grabbed a cart and decided to start by looking for the potatoes.

I went to the area that had all the fruits and vegetables. I spotted the potatoes. I pushed the cart over and picked up the bag. I placed the bag in the cart easily. Now onto the corn.

I saw the corn on the other side of the fruit and vegetable area. I pushed the cart over there and grabbed some corn. I made sure I had enough for at least two rounds for all of us, but I grabbed some extra too.

Just as I was about to go find the turkey SGC came up to me with a basket. In the basket was sweets, pastries, and some other vegetables.

"Hey Cory!" He said. I smiled at him.

"Hey SGC,"

"Do you have everything?" He asked.

"No, I still need the turkey,"

"Oh yeah! That's important to get!"

"Yeah, wanna help find it?"

"Sure," he said. He grabbed my hand as we walked towards the butchers area. I blushed a bit and smiled. He smiled at me. Once we got to the butchers area we found a turkey. We grabbed it and put it in the cart.

"Do we need anything else?" I asked.

"Um, well can we go get some more cookies," he said. I nodded. He ran ahead while I pushed the cart. He grabbed some Oreos off the shelf. I laughed as he examined the two different flavours of Oreos trying to decide which one to get.

"Cory which ones should I get?" He asked me. My choices were either cinnamon bun or regular. I shrugged.

"Um, why not both?" I came up with.

"Oh right! Thanks Cory!" He put the cookies in his basket. I decided to check if the others were done. I texted Uni and Shelby. They quickly answered me by telling me that they were done. SGC and I went to the check out and bought everything. We waited for Uni and Shelby outside. Soon they arrived and we all put what we got in the trunk.

We drove home. Once we got home I prepared the turkey and began to cook it. We were all in the kitchen cooking. Well except for Shelby who was making place cards. And Bri came over so she was helping set the table.

Soon everyone came over. We were all chatting while the food was getting made. I got up to go check on the turkey. As I was checking on it I heard someone enter.

"Hey Cory," Uni said. I turned around to look at him.

"Hey," I said. He smiled and walked over to me. He gave me a big hug. 

"I'm thankful for our friendship," he said. I smiled.

"I'm thankful for you," I said. We both blushed a bit. Then continued to talk. Soon we went back to where everyone else was. A few hours later we were gathering at the table. I ended up sitting next to Shelby. 

We each took a spoonful of each food then started digging in. The meal tasted great. I absolutely loved it. As I was eating some mashed potatoes I accidentally dropped it on myself. I went to wipe it up but inside Shelby did it for me. She smiled at me and grabbed my hand. I blushed and she winked at me.

"That was amazing!" Jon exclaimed.

"Who's ready for desert?" Ashlie asked. Everyone sighed then raised their hands. Ashlie smiled and we all got up. We each went to the kitchen and got another plate. Jon was in charge of handing out the deserts. So once we were at the front of the line we got to say what we wanted and he'd put it on our plates. It was quite handy. 

After everyone got their desert we sat back down at the table. But for some reason Shelby and Bri's placement cards switched. So now Bro was sitting beside me. She smiled at me and I smiled back. 

I began to eat my pie. Until I dropped my fork. Bri grabbed a spare fork from the table and took a piece of my pie and said "open up,". I opened my mouth and she fed me the piece of pie. I happily chewed on the amazing food. It tasted great. She smiled and I blushed a bit. 

After we ate we hung out a bit more. We started talking about Christmas plans and other stuff. Soon it was getting late so people began to leave. By the time it was 11:30pm only Bri was here. But soon she let too. After everyone left SGC, Uni, Shelby, and I cleaned up the table.

After that we were all exhausted. We each sleepily walked upstairs. I went into my room and practically fell onto my bed. After about ten minutes I heard someone enter my room.

"Hey Cory?" They whispered. It was Uni.

"Yes Uni," I said tired.

"Can I sleep in here?" 

"Why?"

"Well um, I have a bunch of art supplies on my bed that Im to tired to move," he said. I sighed and rolled over to one side of the bed and patted the empty side. I heard him gasp in happiness. He then plopped down on the bed. He laid there with me. I closed my eyes and began to drift off to sleep. But before I did I felt Uni snuggle me. I smiled then fell asleep.

Best thanksgiving ever....
