-next afternoon-

Cory's p.o.v

I was walking over to Shelby's hut so we could go on a date. She said to go to her hut around noon. I saw her waiting outside so I walked faster. When she saw me she smiled.

"So what are we doing?" I asked.

"Mini-putt!" She squealed. I covered my ears because it was so loud and high pitched. She grabbed my hand and began walking towards the mini-putt course.  She walked faster when she looked a certain way. I looked where she had but saw no one we knew. We got to choose what colour equipment we wanted. Mine were a dark blue and Shelby's were a light blue. We went to the first hole. She wanted me to putt first so I did. I hit the ball but missed the hole and hit the wall behind the wall. Then Shelby went and got it in the hole. I hit the ball again and got it in the hole.

I picked it up and we walked to the next hole. The next few holes were pretty easy. But then we got to one hole. Shelby went first this time and somehow got a hole in one. But when I went I missed. Then I missed again and again. I had probably hit the ball trying to get it in the hole around 20 times. This hole is so easy! How am I missing!? I was getting mad so when I hit it I hit it harder then I wanted and the ball landed in the water. Shelby started laughing. I just glared at her.

"I'm sor- sorr-sorry," she said trying not to laugh.

"Yeah..." I said unimpressed.

"Let's go get another ball," she said grabbing my hand. She led us back to the front booth and grabbed me another ball.

"Don't loose this one," she said handing it to me. I didn't answer her. We walked back to the hole.

"Wanna do this again?" She asked.

"No." I growled.

"Okay..."she said. We went to the next one. This one made me even more frustrated. I kept missing. But this time thankfully I didn't hit the ball into the water. I finally finished this hole and we went to the next one. The next few weren't really hard. But the last one that's where I really got mad. I hit the ball so many times. I was so done. I hit it again and it was about to go in the hole but stopped. I was so frustrated I threw my club on the ground and stomped away. 

I wasn't sure where I was going but I was leaving this stupid mini-putt course. I made my way to a nice place on the beach in the shade with tons of trees. Nobody was there either. It was a peaceful place. Perfect place for me to calm down. I walked over to a tree there and sat down. I closed my eyes and just listened to the waves and other noises. Then I heard the sound of,footsteps? I think that's the noise of footsteps. I opened my eyes and saw Uni standing in front of me. He had two ice-cream cones in his hands. 

"Why are you out here?" He asked.

"I could ask you the same," 

"Well I saw you come stomping over here. And decided to come see what's wrong."

"Well thanks,but what's up with the ice-cream?"

"Oh yeah,I brought this for you to help calm you down," he said handing me an ice-cream cone. 

"Thanks," I said. He sat down next to me.

"So,why were you so mad?" He asked.

"I was mini-putting with Shelby and I kept missing. I got very mad and quit. I don't know where Shelby is,I feel bad for just leaving like that. I should apologize." I went to stand up but Uni grabbed my arm and pulled me back down.

"Please don't leave yet,"

"Huh?"

"I like spending time alone with you,"

"Uni we share the hut,we see each other all the time,alone."

"Yeah but,this is different,"

"How?"

"You could be with someone else right now, most of the time when we hangout is late at night when most people are sleeping."

"I guess you're right,"

"Just a few more minutes,please?"

"Sure," Uni smiled. I was happy that he wanted to hangout with me. We talked for a few minutes while eating our ice-cream. After we finished out ice-cream I said goodbye and went to find Shelby. I walked to her and Ashlie's hut. I knocked on the door and Ashlie answered.

"Hey Cory,what's up?"

"Is Shelby here?"

"No,why?"

"Well we were hanging out and I got mad at the game we were playing and ran off."

"Oh," was all she said.

"Uh gotta blast,bye!" I said running toward the mini-putt course. But of course when I got there she wasn't there. Where could she be? The sun was beginning to set. Maybe I should take a break. Should I get her something to say sorry and to apologize for just leaving? I know! I should get her flowers. I walked over to the flower shop and looked at the flowers. There were so many to pick from. But one particular type of flower caught my attention. It was a beautiful blue with some gray. I wanted those so I went up to the cashier. The cashier had brown hair a little past her shoulders and greenish blue eyes. She wasn't short or tall. 

"Hello sir,how may I help you?" She asked.

"I would like those blue and gray flowers," I said turning a bit and pointing at the flowers.

"Ohh,those are pretty," she said. She walked out from behind the counter and grabbed a few. She went back behind the counter and put the flowers on the counter.

"Pink or blue?" She asked.

"Blue,please," she wrapped the flowers with the blue paper stuff. And wrapped a blue ribbon on it.

"Not to be nosey or anything but, who's the lucky lady? Or man?"

"It's just a sorry gift. And her name is Shelby,"

"Well hope she accepts your apology,"

"Me too," I walked out of the store and back to Uni and I's hut. Uni still wasn't back. Probably busy doing something with dawn. 

-that night-

Maybe Shelby's back. Uni already got back from hanging out with dawn. He was busy doing art. I got up from my bed and grabbed the flowers. I walked to Ashlie and Shelby's hut and knocked on the door.

"Hey Cory!" Shelby said.

"Shelby! I'm so so so so so sorry!"

"For what? Leaving? I think it's okay that you decided to stop and go relax instead of continuing to make yourself upset."

"Well,I want to apologize for just leaving without saying anything to you,"

"It's fine,"

"Well,I got you these to say sorry," I said bringing the flowers out from behind my back. I handed them to her. She looked at them with happiness.

"They're so beautiful Cory! Thank you!" After she said that she hugged me. She was careful not to crush the flowers.

"Well I have to go but again I'm really sorry," she kissed me cheek.

"Bye!"she said waving. I waved back and walked back to my hut. She kissed me! Sorta...but she still kissed me! I opened the door and saw Uni sleeping. I climbed on my bed. Our bed were still pushed together. As soon as I laid down Uni hugged me and cuddled me. Another night of this. I'm not complaining,it's actually nice. Makes me feel safe. I closed closed my eyes and fell asleep.
