Tommy's p.o.v

I woke up and got dressed. After I walked out of the bathroom I saw nick was awake.

"You're up!"I smiled.

"Yeah."

"Hey Tommy,want to go do something this afternoon?"

"Uhh s-sure..." my face was so hot. I really hate blushing.

"How about I meet you at the beach at 12?"

"Sounds good!"I smiled. I had to get out of here. Nick is just to much right now. To cute. I quickly left and went to go talk to Ashlie. Hopefully she's awake. I rushed up to her door and knocked.

"Hey Tommy,what's up?"Ashlie said opening the door.

"Help,I need help!"

"What's wrong!?"Ashlie asked panicked.

"Nick asked me to hangout!"

"So,you guys hangout all the time!"

"Yeah but it's different now."

"It's different because...?"

"I don't know it's just the way he asked. I guess I'm just being over dramatic it's just because it's vacation I thought now would be a good time to tell him."

"What was that last part?"

"Nothing!"

"Yeah.."

"Look Tommy just be yourself."

"Yeah thanks." I ran back to nick and i's hut. I opened it but nick wasn't there. I don't have time to pretend anymore. I need to tell him. Soon someone is going to take him and then I'll definitely have no chance. I have to tell him tonight. I was snapped out of my thoughts when nick came in.

"Hey Tommy! When did you get back?" Nick said walking in.

"A few minutes ago."

"Oh I have to tell you something."

"What's up nick?"

"I met this really pretty girl and I really like her. Could you give me some advice?" My heart shattered. I knew I should've told him.

"Well tell her how you feel..."I said trying not to cry.

"Thanks tommy,got to go confess."

"Bye..." as soon as he closed the door I broke down crying. I was to late. I should've just told him. Why didn't I just say it? But I guess if he likes her I can't stop it.

Nick's p.o.v

I walked up to her. I tapped her shoulder. She turned around and smiled. 

"Can I take you somewhere?" I asked.

"Sure!"she smiled. I took her hand and brought her to the part of the beach where no one hangs out.

"I really like you!"I said closing  my eyes.

"I like you too!"she smiled. 

"Do you mean it?"

"Of course!"she said. She then kissed me. It was amazing.

"So,are we dating now?"I asked.

"Why not?"

"Yes!" I smiled. I hugged her.

"I have to go but I'll text you later,bye Nick."

"Bye!" I was so happy. I ran to Tommy and i's hut. I pushed through the door to see tommy just sitting there. He was probably daydreaming again. 

"Tommy guess what!"

"Huh?" He said looking at me.

"She said she liked me back! And now we're dating!"

"O-oh that's g-great..." he sounded sad.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine.."

"Okay..." I know when Tommy has an issue that he doesn't want to tell me he tells Ashlie.  I should go ask her. I walked out the door and went to Ashlie's hut. I knocked and then Ashlie answered.

"Hey Ashlie!"

"Hey nick! What's up?"

"Well,I told Tommy about this girl I like and he said to tell her."

"Okay..."

"Then I told her,but when I came back and told Tommy he seemed upset..."

"I'm sure he'll tell you nick."

"When? I'm worried."

"Just wait..." that's all she said. Just wait. What does that mean? How long? I just want Tommy to be happy. He's my best friend. It was already 1 I missed Tommy and i's hangout time.

Tommy's p.o.v

That's it I'm telling him.

"Hey nick,can we go to the beach?"

"Sure." I grabbed his hand and led him to the prettiest place on the beach.

"Nick,I need to tell you something."I struggled to not blush.

"What is it?"

"N-Nick I um I really like-" before I was finished this girl came up to us. She came up to nick and kissed him. I was starting to cry. They kept kissing. I turned around and walked off. I had one chance and I blew it. I should've told him. It was my fault I lost him. I went into the hut. I couldn't walk anymore it was just to much. I collapsed and curled into a ball. I started crying uncontrollably. I just laid there crying like a baby. I should've told him kept ringing in my head.

Nick's p.o.v

Tess came up to me and Tommy. She kissed me and I kissed back. We kissed for about a minute. When I looked back to where Tommy was he was gone. Guess he had something to do. I talked with Tess until 9. I walked back to my hut. I opened the door to see Tommy on the floor curled up and crying. I quickly knelt down and hugged him. I rubbed his back to calm him down.

"Tommy,what's wrong?"I asked softly. His response really confused me.

"What's wrong! Are you kidding me!?"he yelled pushing me off of him.

"I was trying to talk to you and you just ignored me!"

"I'm sorry..."

"No! No sorry! All you had to do was listen for a minute! But you couldn't even do that for me! That proves how much I matter to you!"he yelled.

"Tommy i-"

"No! You know what I'm done! I can't do it!"

"Tommy I'll listen..."

"No! You should've listened before Nick!"

"Tommy..." I didn't know what else to say.

"Tommy please at least tell me what happened earlier."

"You know what nick! I  might as well just tell you! Since our friendship isn't important to you it doesn't matter if I tell you this! And since you have a girlfriend that loves you it won't even matter!"

"What?" I really didn't understand.

"I like you! Okay nick! I like you!" Before I could understand he got up and left,slamming the door behind him. Tommy likes me? I didn't know...but it explains so much. Blushing,sadness when I said I liked someone else. How could I not know? He's my best friend,I should've noticed this!

Tommy's p.o.v

 I ran still crying. I don't care where I end up. As long as I get away. I was running until someone grabbed my wrist. I turned around and saw Ashlie. When I turned around her face made a worried expression.

"Tommy,what happened?"

"I told him! And now I'm not his friend."

"Nick wouldn't stop being your friend just for that."

"It was my choice,he didn't listen so I made a better choice for both of us. Nick gets to live a great life without me and I get to know my old friend is happy."

"Tommy...." Ashlie looked upset. She brought me to her hut.

"I'll ask Shelby if she'll change with you,I'll get your stuff later." She said. I just laid in her bed. I couldn't stop crying. 

Ashlie's p.o.v

I asked Shelby if she'd trade huts with Tommy so she'd be with nick instead. Thankfully she agreed. I knocked on the door but no one answered. I opened the door a bit and peeked in. I saw nick on his bed crying. I went into the hut and walked over to nick. I hugged him and rubbed his back.

"Shhh,he just needs time...."

"How did I not know!?"nick said looking up. He had tears running down his face.

"He didn't show it much..."

"I just ignored him when he was about to tell me something important."

"You didn't know.."

"I should've listened, I need to apologize."

"I'm sorry nick but I'm pretty sure Tommy doesn't want to talk right now, he needs time."

"How much time!?"

"Wait a few days and try to text him or something. Only talk to him when you think he's ready."

"How will I know when he's ready?!"

"You just will,you know him very well so it shouldn't be as hard as you think. Of course it won't be easy but you just have to trust yourself."

"Thank you Ashlie." He fell asleep. I grabbed Tommy's stuff. Before I left I noticed something on nick's bedside table. It was a picture of him and tommy smiling. It had wet spots on it. He must've been crying while looking at it. I walked out and went back to my hut. I looked in and saw Tommy sleeping,he had a picture of nick and him that he was hugging. I placed his stuff down beside my old bed that would now be Tommy's. I really want them to make up. It hurts to see them like this...
