Chapter 13: The Chocolate Room
Erica's POV:
The room was covered in beautiful bright colors, the hills covered in lush green grass, mult-colored trees and some rather strange looking plants, and in the left corner of the room was a chocolate waterfall. It must take ages for him to build this room. My jaw dropped as my eyes went suddenly wide. "Now, my dear children, do be careful. Don't lose your heads. Don't get over excited. Just keep very calm." Said Mr. Wonka.
Well, I can't keep calm because I'm in cloud nine. "Say Charlie, could you do me a favor?" I told my cousin, still surprised as he looks at me. "What is it?" He curiously asked. "Can you pinch me hard on my arm, please?" I said, "No question, Charlie. Just do it." "Well, if you say so." He said without having a second thought, and just did what I had told him to do. He pinched me hard on my arm, having the thought that I'll wake up from a dream, but to my expectation, I didn't. This is all real! I heard my cousin giggled at me, "You thought this is all a dream, aren't you?"
"Right you are, kiddo." I giggled as well before ruffing his hair. Then I noticed Mr. Wonka was staring at the both of us with a wide smile etched across his lips, which I gladly return. "This room is very beautiful, sir." I said. "Thank you, Ms. Carson. It really is beautiful." Said Mr. Wonka in appreciation before turning to the others who are on their excitement states as well, and getting their attentions back to him by leading us inside.
"Now, every drop of the river is hot melted chocolate of the finest quality. The waterfall is most important. It churns the chocolate, mixes it up. By the way, no other factory in the world mixes its chocolate by waterfall, my dear children. You can take that to the bank."
We then walked across the curved bridge grass and pass Mr. Wonka which he lures us to. But then he spoke again. "Uh, people!" We stopped to turn to him as he points at the pipe descending into the amazing chocolate river. "Those pipes suck up the chocolate, and carry it away, all over the factory. Thousands of gallons an hour. Yeah! Do you like my meadow? Please do. It's so delectable and so darn good-looking!"
"You can eat the grass?" Charlie asked. "Of course you can! Everything in this room is eatable. Even I am eatable, but that, my dear children, is called cannibalism, and is, in fact, frowned upon in most societies. Yeah." Said Mr. Wonka while I'm trying to hold back my giggle from escaping.
I don't know why I am giggling a lot today. Well, it's all because of this great charming chocolatier's amusing and funny sentences. "Enjoy!" Augustus quickly ran off unsurprisingly as Mr. Wonka said, "Go on. Scoot, scoot." Moving his hands in a go away gesture.
Charlie and I immediately run in as we separated ways, admiring the room and, of course, the candies. While I'm busying myself of deciding on what candy to choose with my forefinger on my lips. I was so busy, that I didn't notice someone behind me. "Hi!" Said a familiar voice from behind, making me jump slightly. I turned around, just to see Mr. Wonka standing behind me.
"Oh, hello, Mr. Wonka. I didn't see you. My apology." I said though warmth and respect. "It's all right, Ms. Carson. Besides, you don't need to apologize for you did nothing bad. And it someone needs to owe an apology, it's me-- for sneaking up behind just like that, and without you even knowing and got you scared as a result of that inappropriate action of mine." Mr. Wonka apologized, but chuckled when he said 'scared', which I do too, but I shook my head at once when he said.
"No, Mr. Wonka, sir. Please don't consider the action of yours as an inappropriate one. Besides, I honestly find it really amusing." I reassured him along a smile which he returned, but only it was a nervous smile as he swallows loudly, seemed like he had snaped out of his thought, well, maybe. And then he cleared his throat before responding.
"Thank you for that, Ms. Carson." Mr. Wonka said. "No problem, sir." There was a moment of silence before Mr. Wonka spoke again. "So, have you already chosen a candy?" He asked. "No, not yet, sir. I mean, these candies are all delicious, so it makes it so difficult for me to choose from." I answered truthfully. "Well, I totally agree with that. But if that the case then, I can help you fix it." Mr. Wonka said, making me look at him in excitement. "You can really do that?!" I squealed in excitement, making him chuckle.
"Yeah! That case of yours is quite easy to solve. All you have to do is just make your personality nor looks with the sweets. Like this." He said, plucking out some chocolate truffles straight from the amazing and mouth watering chocolate truffle tree. "Here, this matches you up." As he gave me one of those chocolate truffles.
"This matches me?" I asked with a confused frown as I look at the chocolate truffle then at Mr. Wonka. "Yeah." Beamed Mr. Wonka. "But how am I matched up with a chocolate truffle, Mr. Wonka?" I curiously asked. "Well, I have studied each and everyone's perspective here, see." Said Mr. Wonka making me nod. "And base from what I learned about you, you are the kind, sweet, and cheery with loads of excitement inside you kind of girl. And it's because I base it from your matching chocolate eyes and hair as well." I blushed furiously as I lower my head a little. I never thought that I would get that kind of compliments from Mr. Wonka himself. Such a charming and sweet man.
"T-Thank you, Mr. Wonka, that was so sweet of you." I bashfully said as he smiled charmingly at me. "You're welcome." He said sweetly. "Well, you look extremely starve Ms. Carson. Go on and eat that truffle, it'll make you great. And I assure you that it'll be very delicious."
I took a bite of the truffle, well I am hungry. And as soon as the delicious chocolate touched my tongue, the creamy chocolate exploded inside of my mouth. It was a chocolate ganache covered truffle. It's so delicious. "This truffle is so delicious, Mr. Wonka. Thank you." I said in appreciation. He smiled as a response which made me smile too.
As I took another bite, I noticed that Mr. Wonka was looking at me intensely in desired passion as those magnificent purple eyes of his are burning deeply into mine, like he was staring through the depth of my soul. I felt my heart skipped a beat by it. So I swallowed down my chocolate and smiled nervously at him. "Um, Mr. Wonka, I think I better stick with my cousin now. Thank you for this chocolate truffle again. I truly appreciate it." I nervously said as I start backing away but he didn't break his intense stare at me though.
But, for being so oblivious to my surroundings, I didn't notice the peppermint tree behind me, having my back bump against it. "Oops!" I look at the peppermint tree and back to Mr. Wonka as I laugh awkwardly. "A peppermint tree! I love it... looks delicious... it's marvellous!" I said, then raise my hand where I held the chocolate truffle.
"And this too." Before taking another bite and then turned around, but then I yelped in surprise because standing in front of me was my cousin like he just popped out, out of nowhere. "Dear lord, Charlie!" I exclaimed, putting my hand over my heart. "Don't pop out to me like that!" I scowled.
Then I heard someone giggling, and that's when I realized that Mr. Wonka was there. 'Oh God, this is so embarrassing.' I thought as I slowly turned to him and laughed awkwardly and before I quickly took my cousin's hand and went into the others. That was so awkward, and I just don't like being started at that way, making me nervous, awkward, and jumpy, just like what Mr. Wonka has witnessed.
"Erica, I think Mr. Wonka likes you." Charlie suddenly said, making me blush. "Come on, Charlie. Don't be silly. Mr. Wonka and I just met." I said, but he shook his head in disagreement and disbelief. "I don't think so. I saw the way he looks at you." He said, making me blush even more. "You know what, let's just admire this room and eat some sweets." I said changing the subject, making him laugh.
Willy Wonka's POV:
I can't help myself but smile at that awkward but amusing moment between me and Erica, and I just love the way how she looks so amazed by this chocolate room with her chocolate brown eyes gleaming from excitement which gave pleasure to me. But what I love the most is when I gave her the truffles. Yes, it totally matches her, inside and out. I just love the way how she savored it, giving more pleasure to me and seduction.
And that moment I stare at her beautiful chocolate brown eyes, I see my future through it. I see myself with her. I see myself loving her, marrying her, but I quite regretted it, because it had made her nervous. But I didn't stop myself breaking contact with her as I continuously admire her. And her beautiful smile is what makes the butterflies thrusts against the pit of my stomach. She's so interesting and admirable.
And then I learned that staring at her intensely, making her jumpy. Just like what the peppermint tree and her cousin did to her. It's just so amusing to me which a smile on my face and giggle. She hasn't got any idea how much I want her now. I am just so in love with her. I hope she'll like me too. This is just the start of impressing her, there is a lot to impress.
