Chapter Four

The rest of the school day went by faster than the beginning of the day. I was ecstatic about that. I hated school so much. I could be in college with the brains that I have. But I had to put that old life behind me and make a clean slate. Everyone deserves a clean slate don't they?

"Hey, Liam, Emily and I are going to this café in town. Everyone goes there after school. You want to come?" Coral asked as the bell ringed. People go to the café? My friends and everyone else back home used to go to a casino. That is only because my friend's dad owned a casino and so everyone used to go there for fun.

"Yeah, that sounds fun." I smiled. She smiled and grabbed onto my arm. "Liam! You should ride with Abby to the café!" Coral shouted. Liam turned to us, with Emily by his side.

"Do you mind?" He asked me. "No! Of course not. Let's go." I said and we walked out to my car. "THIS IS YOUR CAR!" He shouted running over to my car. I started laughing.

"You like?" I chuckled. He nodded and got in. "Why don't you have a car?" I asked Liam. "Well, I borrow my parent's car sometimes. I am getting one here soon. My father lost his job a few months back. Which was around my birthday. So I had to wait. I told them I didn't need one. But they insisted. And that means next month I will be getting one." Liam Explained. I nodded and turned on the radio. Diamonds by Rhianna comes on and Liam starts singing along. "RIRI IS MY FAVE!" He shouted. I started laughing and sung along as well. Liam's phone starts to ring and he ignored the call.

"Trouble in paradise I see." I pointed out. "If he really loves me, then he will realize what he is missing." Liam says and I start to laugh.

"Damn straight." I responded. We pulled in front of the café. "I think that is Elijah standing right there." I pointed at the door. He sighed and leaned his head back into the seat.

"Hey, look at me." I demanded. He turned his head to stare at me.

"If Elijah is here waiting for you, then he honestly realized what he done wrong. No guy comes chasing after someone unless they truly care." I informed. He frowned. He got out of the car and walked over to Elijah. I stepped out of the car watching them talk things out. Then Liam kissed Elijah. Good job Chloe. You did it. I could so be a psychologist. More like a marriage counselor. But I am so, so good at what I do. Liam smiled back at me and waved me inside. I locked my car and walked inside after them. People stared as I walked in. I walked up to the bar to order. "I would like a double expresso with whip." I said and the barista turned around. His green eyes are so beautiful. His dark black hair is spiked up. He smiled at me and his teeth shined bright. "Coming right up." He said and turned to make the drink. He handed me the drink. "How much is that?" I asked.

"It's on me." He smiled at me. I smiled back. "I'm Abby." I tell him my name and he nods. "Landen." He responded. "Well it was nice to meet you Landen. Thank you so much for the drink. I owe you one." I smiled at him and walked off to Liam and everyone. I turned my head back around and seen him staring at me. I blushed and turned away. Liam, Emily and Coral was staring at me and so was Elijah. "You know that is Landen Stevens's right?" Elijah asked me. I looked at them in confusion. "Right you're new." Elijah laughed. "Landen is Meghan's boyfriend." Coral informed me.

"Well Landen shouldn't got me this drink for free then." I said taking a drink. Emily smiled and so did Liam. "L.A.C.E. is badass people." Coral laughed and so did we. "What's L.A.C.E?" Elijah asked. "It's a top secret investigation that I am under. The government hates my guts." I said sarcastically. Coral chuckled. "If only." Liam laughed. Well it was not a lie. The government kind of hates my guts. Well, the Nevada's government does. We sat down at the table and Meghan comes walking over. "Excuse me new girl. But some of my people said that you were flirting with my boyfriend." She said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes. I got up from the table and stood in front of her. "Excuse me rich girl. Take a reality check. Your boyfriend was flirting with me." I responded.

Her friends behind her started chuckling. "He would never flirt with someone like you. I mean look at you. You look like you just came out of a flea market." She pointed out.

"He also bought me this drink" I pointed out and took another drink. "Although, it's not that good." I added and dumped the drink on her. She started screaming. Everyone started to laugh.

I leaned down to her. "I may be new. But you don't know who you are messing with." I said and pushed her aside. I walked out to my car when Emily stopped me.

"I cannot believe you just did that!! You are going to be the new gossip of the century!" Emily laughed. Liam, Coral and Elijah comes walking towards me.

"Girl, you are bad ass." Liam laughed. I chuckled and rolled my eyes. "Hey, let's throw a sleep over at my house Friday night. Me, You, Coral and Emily." Liam says. "Sounds fun." I smiled. I haven't been to a sleepover in so long. I think I am going to like it here. Too bad I won't be able to stay here forever.
