They arrived at the farmhouse. It was a simple cozy looking home with rows of cornfield as it's lawn and a big red barn meters away at the back.
"Huh. Nothing even changed a bit." Jungkook commented, scratching his head.
"Woah! Look at those cows over there! And those horses!" Taehyung emerges from behind, dragging his suitcase with him.
"This place is creepy." Was the first thing Hoseok says. He was eyeing the dusty windows just waiting for a horrendous looking ghost pop it's head out.
"I'm pretty sure this place isn't haunted, hyung. Come on let's find grandma." They step up the porch, the small steps of stairs creaking at their weight, making Hoseok shriek.
"Seriously, Hoseok if you don't stop being a pussy I will hurl you back to Seoul myself." Yoongi contorts, having his usual blank face and sleepy eyes.
"Sorry." Hoseok apologizes sheepishly.
Jungkook rolls his eyes at them and approaches the door. He knocks firmly three times. The paint on the wood was slowly wearing off- actually the paint on the whole house was wearing off. "Grandma needs to do some repainting." He whispers to himself. He knocks again but still there was no answer.
"Grandma!" The brunette calls out. "It's me Jungkook!" He tries to turn the knob but it's locked.
"Maybe she's dead." Taehyung shrugs.
"Tae! What the fuck?" Hoseok pushes him. "Stop saying things like that."
"What? I'm just weighing the odds, hyung."
Jungkook scratches his chin thoughtfully. His mother told him that she informed her grandmother a week before this visit and she texted her today as well as a reminder.
Yoongi groans. "My back is aching. Isn't there a chair here or some shit?"
"I'm pretty sure there's a lot of shit back at that barn." Taehyung retorts.
"You brat ass kid! I'm going to skin you alive!" Yoongi threatens with a scowl. "Once I rest my ass on a chair though."
Taehyung snickers at him which Yoongi raises a middle finger for.
Meanwhile, Jungkook taps the window beside the door. The glass was a bit opaque from a layer of dust and it sends particles of it flying into the air when Jungkook taps on it once more.
"Jungkookie! I think we forgot the ingredients for the smores! This is a high priority emergency people." Hoseok interrupts.
"Just chop one of those fat ass cows and throw them in the bonfire." Yoongi replies, already resting his lazy ass by the staircase.
"Guys, help me out in opening this window." Jungkook grunts, using all his strength to open the window which seems to be jammed. "I swear I'm the only one making effort to get us inside the house."
"
Yeah, yeah we're coming."
Taehyung says, dragging Hoseok with him. They both help him but Yoongi just sat still, taking selfies.
Turns out there were more dust inside the house once the window was opened. The three of them coughed, swatting the dust away.
"Wow, this house is older than Gandalf." Taehyung laughs.
"Are you sure this is the right house?" Hoseok asks. He pulls out his flashlight and shines it inside. "There's nothing. Just a bunch of paper lying on the ground and a rad ass rocking chair."
"Hey, hyung! Maybe this is your house!" Taehyung laughs, ridiculing Yoongi.
Yoongi mutters a low 'fuck you'.
Jungkook sighs exasperated. "Where the hell is she? Let me call mom." He tries to dial her but there was no signal available in the area.
"What do we do now?" Hoseok questions, feeling disappointed about the outcome. They were supposed to have a cool camping by the wide fields but it turns out Jungkook's grandmother was missing.
"I don't know." Jungkook shrugs. "Maybe we should go back home?"
"After a day of travel? What in the living hell? It's night time you ugly bitch." Yoongi stands up and walks to the open window. "Let's go inside."
"No!" Hoseok immediately protests. "There could be spiders in there!"
But Yoongi was already inside the house.
Taehyung shrugs and follows, pulling a whining Hoseok along with him. Jungkook sighs before following them.
~~~
Jungkook wakes up startled. His forehead had a layer of sweat forming and his arms bounded by something. He pulls on the chains clasped on his hands but it was no use.
He heaves heavy breathes as he looks around. The room was dark, nothing visible but the moonlight shining through one of the far windows adjacent to him.
He was vaguely aware that he was sat on the middle of a bed—red velvet sheets and white fluffy pillows perched by the headboard.
His vision was a bit impaired, there were black dots lining it and his chest still felt heavy.
"Oh, you're awake."
A voice speaks, making him jump in suprise.
"Good."
Jungkook hastily looks around, lungs rising up and down. Familiar shivers run down his spine. He remembers what happened earlier in the whizz of moment.
His friends, Taehyung, Hoseok and Yoongi, they're gone.
A figure appears in front of him. A tall shadow standing under the moonlight of the window. It comes closer until it turns into someone— a man with silver hair.
It walks to the edge of the bed, keeping his void black eyes trained on him. He feels weak and little. He hated it.
"Who are you?"
It asks, sounding genuinely curious.
Jungkook doesn't answer the question. "Get me out of these chains."
"Answer my question first."
"Get me out of these chains asshole."
The thing flared at his stubbornness. Orbs of fire lights up in its eyes as he grabs Jungkook by the neck harshly.
"Quit bullshitting me, human. Answer my question!"
A demonic voice was booming in the background. The hand was cold around his neck, as if a lump of ice was strangling him.
"J-Jungkook.... Jeon Jungkook!"
The brunette shouts, rattling the chains in his hands.
"Jeon?"
The grip on his neck slowly loosened. The thing backed away, sitting a foot apart from him which gave him a closer view of the flames licking up inside the other's eyes.
"Do you know Jeon Lisa?"
"Y-yeah..." Jungkook coughs. "She's my grandmother."
"You're her grandson?"
Jungkook nods, watching in fascination as the pair of eyes in front of him shifts back into black.
"Your mark."
Jungkook cocked his head to the side curiously. He gasps when the other flicks two fingers in the air, sending a force to pull down the collar of his shirt. Jungkook scrambles away hastily.
Without another word, the other pulled down his collar as well, showing the same mark Jungkook had.
"What does this mean?"
It asks, a bit strained like it was holding back a fit of rage.
Jungkook didn't know how to answer. Honestly, he didn't even know what this entity was in front of him.
He glanced down at his mark, it was identical to a cresent shape—it was white and had a touch of silver. He never thought of it as anything else but a weird birthmark like his mother told him. But as he stares at the mark of the silver-haired in front of him—which was a raven black one similar to his—maybe it meant something else.
"You don't know, don't you?" The creature sighs. "Why am I even wasting time asking you?"
It makes a move to stand up and Jungkook can't do anything but look at it.
"Well, whatever these marks mean it doesn't matter because I want nothing to do with you."
Jungkook doesn't know why that statement pained him a bit.
It turns around and walks away.
"Hey! Aren't you going to set me free?!" He shouts after it. The silver-haired doesn't bother and didn't even spare him a glance.
"Wait! Jimin!"
The creature stiffens while Jungkook gasps at what just came out of his mouth.
It glares at him before the lights turn on and it vanishes.
"Was that its name?"
I mean Jimin as
