Chapter I
The sun started to rise over Mount Olympus, or rather Helios; the God of the Sun, rode his shining chariot, tagging behind him was the star called the Sun. Despite all of the gorgeous sunlight giving Mount Olympus a soft glow, in the underworld things we're slightly different. Slightly darker.
Jennifer woke up with the very slobby licks of Cerebus, her father's three headed dog. One by one the three heads licked her, informing her it was time to feed them some raw flesh. Dragging her tired body along the cold floor of the realm Hades, the daughter of the God Hades threw some of that rotting flesh at the twenty eight feet tall, black, demonic dog, who was just a big softy. After scoffing the dead down, Cerebus ran to his spot in Hades to make sure none of the deceased would ever leave their home.
Her father was sitting on his ebony throne. Surprisingly Hades loved to read mortal newspapers. He always like knowing what was happening in his subjects former world. Hermes, God of trade and athletes always brought him one, considering how Hades hated going outside his dark, damp realm. He seemed cold, ruthless, stern however his violet eyes lit up at his youngest child.
"Ah darling, how are you?"
He had set down his paper about the Trump administration.
"Thank you so much for walking in. I hate reading about America. Can not wait for the worst of them to join us, your mother would have some good punishments for them," he smiled at the thought of his wife.
Today was the first day of winter; what does that mean? Well it means Persephone, Goddess of Spring was coming back home to her husband.
"You may go see your friends if you want. I'll just sit here and wait patiently for the love my life," he ushered her to the staircase to the outside world. "see how your aunt is."
And off she went. It wasnt often her friends got to hang out together seeing as they all lived eventful lives as well as the Gods loved partying more than breathing.
The light, loose and lacey dress simmered delicately in the sun as the girl made her way to Mount Olympus. A grand mountain that as it got closer to touching the sky the more abundant gold decorated the rock. Because of this the more notably famous Gods lived there or just the ones Zeus favoured the most.
Clare's mother was Demeter, Goddess of wheats and farming. Jennifer's mother happened to be sisters with Clare. This allowed family reunions to go a awkward but the two were friends nonetheless. Demter was Zeus' sister, so favoritism was clearly why Clare and her mother lived exaggerating lives.

Clare's window - or rather her hole in the wall - allowed the still early sun to shine. She joyfully water her rhododendrons, carefully making sure to hear every note of the bird's early chorus in the tree. Clare finished, proud of the flowering buds on a quest to find her mother. To no surprise Demeter was on her oak throne, wearing her flowery crown and sat contentedly admiring the swallow's song.
"Clare dear your niece is here."
Demeter's muscles tugged soft enough to form a faint smile.
"Mother, you know I have asked you to called her Jennifer, niece sounds weird."
Demeter nodded; her bird song too important to miss a single chirp.
"Alright. Go on, I know you want to join her." Demeter spoke with maturity and authority, in fact Clare thought of the statement more as a command than anything else.
Clare's feet made little sound on the marble floor. The wall of gold that faced her had a hole large enough for an elephant to waltz on through. Who needed doors when Olympus had perfect weather and temperature every day of the year?
Jennifer was outside smelling the irresistible roses. Their sweet smell enticing not just bees to their petals.
"Hi Jenny!" Clare ran to her friend and hugged her tightly.
"Hi Clare." Jennifer grinned as she was being squeezed to death by her aunt.
"Shall we go get the others." It wasn't a question. It was a statement, today was the day the group would be all together again. And the closest one now was Maja, a mere house next door.
****
"Maja please don't fight with your siblings."
Aphrodite, Goddess of love, told her youngest off. Maja hated love compared to her other siblings and mother.
"But mother Eros was using his arrow on me and it didn't work and he was crying that I was to be forever lonely." (Eros perhaps is more commonly known as Cupid)
Aphrodite gently rubbed her temples.
"But why are you fighting him then. He feels sorry for you?"
"HE ATTACKED ME WITH A BLOODY ARROW!" Maja ran after her brother and her mother just gave up. Ares had more of an influence on her clearly. Then there was a knock on the marble wall.
The beautiful goddess walked to find her daughter's friend.
The two were gleaming with that Goddess glow however not as beautiful as her though; that was impossible.
"Maja. Your friends are here." She said in a soft and gentle voice. There was a loud smack and the sound of Eros crying. Maja was running out of the house.
"Okay let's go now." Maja was already out the door. The three started to travel wanderlessly through Olympus. Maja stopped first.
"Should we get Mia. But which of her dads is she at?"
"Hermes." Clare answered.
"Okay thanks." Maja ran on.
"Wait no running!" Jennifer yelled as she tried to catch up to her friend. Clare following close behind her.
****
Mia was running with one of her dads, Hermes. You see Mia's fathers both had sex with the same woman at the same time and neither knew who was the true father so the both of them looked after her. Mia had the ability to run almost as fast her dad, Hermes and almost fly like him too but loved messing around and her wine like the Dionysus, God of wine and madness.
The two were running, almost breaking the sound barrier - neither were breaking a sweat. Then Mia's three friends appeared and she ran into a wall.
"Ouch." The athletic girl muttered.
"Mia are you okay!"
Hermes ran to his girl and hugged her. The God loved her even if there was a chance he even the biological father.
"Oh Mia's friends come join us!" Mia took off her dad's wing helmet.
"You keep shouting." Mia told him off. It had always been strange bond between the two.
"Hey are we going to get the others?" The three nodded.
"Race you to Alicja's." Mia smirked. And she blasted off, at lightning speed.
"Wait you cheater!" Maja yelled at Mia, who was now a small speck of dust. Even if Maja tried to run she would never catch up to Mia but she tried anyway. Jennifer and Clare laughed a little and strolled along the perfectly paved path. The group was half way gathered only the other half left to go.
