"today was really nice. I really enjoyed myself." joshua spoke calmly as both him and jun slowly strolled down the sidewalk leading to the wen household hand in hand. their facial expressions hinted at a mutual feeling of exhaustion shared between the two teenagers, and yet both were still glad to be by each other's side. the brunet held back a small yawn as he tightened his grip on jun's right hand in an attempt to keep himself awake. "how about you jun? did you have fun?"

"I always have fun when I'm with you." jun answered as he swung his and joshua's joined hands back and forth slowly. his eyelids felt heavy and burdened with the task of staying awake, and yet the burn was nothing compared to being with joshua. "it's pretty late though. you didn't have to walk me home."

"I know, but I wanted to spend some time alone with you." joshua cheekily grinned at jun. being alone was something joshua had wanted all day, because after the couple had finished with messing around at the ice cream stall their friends had caught up and the whole group decided to hang out from then on. it wasn't that he hated hanging out with their friend group as a whole, but joshua did kind of want some space so that him and jun could be together in public, joined as one coherant unit. "we spent almost the day together and yes I can't help but be greedy when it comes to you junhui."

"stop being so cheesy, you know those types of things make me want to cry!" jun pouted, causing a chuckle to come right out of his boyfriend's mouth. "and stop calling me junhui! you're so annoying!"

"hey, you're the one who started all of the cheesiness!" joshua protested. the two teenagers continued on to bickering with one another about how annoying the latter was. it wasn't too long before they agreed to disagree and ended up just breaking out into laughter while still swinging each other's laugh. joshua sure felt tired, but he could never feel too exhausted when jun was already to just boost his mood. the same thing applied to the purple haired teenager, who usually was energetic, only feeling truly at peace when joshua was around.

the sound of their laughter gradually died down as they approached jun's house, knowing that that meant that their night together was now coming to an end. joshua didn't know why, but he felt uneasy about leaving jun to go home so soon. to him, the night was far from over and yet here they were standing before jun's patio with equally as sorrowful smiles plastered on either of their faces. "I'll get going now though. good night junhui."

joshua paused as he turned to leave, glancing backwards to see jun's hand tightly gripping his left arm. he grinned before facing jun, raising an eyebrow as to physically ask what was wrong with jun without having to verbally address the saddened expression on the chinese male's face. in a flash, joshua let out a small grunt as jun practically threw himself onto the brunet so that they could hug. the purple haired teenager's arms snaked their way around joshua's waist as jun buried his head into the brunet's chest. joshua stifled a small laugh to himself before wrapping his arms around jun's back and patting it gently. his amused expression faded as he began to think about jun and everything he was feeling in the moment, which is why joshua couldn't control himself from blurting out,"I love you."

jun pulled away from joshua with a baffled expression, not believing he was lucid enough to have really heard what joshua had just said. his heart felt like it was beating outside of his chest, and jun wasn't sure if it was his heart just acting up or if it was adrenaline kicking in. regardless of what it was, jun felt overjoyed after hearing those three words jump out of joshua's mouth so effortlessly. it was as if joshua had been waiting all night to say those three words, and the thought of that warmed every cell in jun's body.

"I thought I saw you two kids out here." jun's mother coughed from the doorway, which the couple hadn't noticed was even open. she knew of their relationship and was happy that her son was happy. it was also why she tried her best to back off from being an overly protective parent for jun. the older woman had somewhat of a theory that joshua would also be there to protect her jun no matter what, and that theory was just confirmed. she frowned though when she heard the brunet muttering a goodbye under his breath to her son, and when she saw her son's pursed lips. "it's really late joshua why don't you spend the night? I'm sure your mom will be okay with it once I give her a call and let her know where you are."

and just like that jun's mother took joshua in for the night, allowing the brunet to stay over just like how his own mother allowed for jun to stay at their house all those weeks ago. both males went through the process of taking quick respective showers, with jun looking away from a shirtless joshua as he blindly handed the brunet some of his own clothes so that he could borrow them (joshua teased jun the whole time during that, which only caused for jun to get more more flustered). after all the fooling around and teasing, and after jia had yelled at the couple for being so noisy while she was trying to sleep, the couple found themselves laying in jun's bed with less than two inches of space between them.

jun laid on his right side while joshua faced the ceiling. it took little to no time at all for the brunet to close his eyes and begin to drift off into a deep slumber, while jun felt restless.

"he must have been really tired. he could have just went home but he still insisted on walking me home. ah joshua hong, why must you play with my heart like this? you act all tough and then turn into a complete baby in my arms. it's too cute!" jun mumbled to himself as he stared at his sleeping boyfriend beside him. he carefully brushed back the dark brown bangs covering joshua's closed eyelids so that they weren't blocking the brunet's face, which ultimately gave jun a better view of how peaceful joshua looked in his sleep. his expression turned serious when he slowly ran his hand through joshua's hair before pressing his own forehead against joshua's now bare forehead. "I didn't get to say it before, but I love you too josh."

"pft." a small gust of air shot out of joshua's nostrils, making jun flinch beside the seemingly asleep brunet. that was before joshua opened his eyes with a wide grin spread across his lips. he hadn't been sleeping at all. in actuality joshua closed his eyes to rest them, and was nearing the gates of slumber until he heard jun mumbling next to him. that was when joshua figured he might as well keep up the act of pretending to sleep, especially because of the reaction the purple haired teenager was giving now.

"oh my- you were awake the whole time?!" jun exclaimed at a louder volume as his boyfriend shifted so that he was now laying on his side. joshua leaned his head on his left hand as he smirked at the way jun furrowed his eyebrows at him.

"I told you before, it's hard to sleep with your big mouth around." the purple haired teenager groaned out of protest before crossing his arms and facing away from joshua. he shuddered when he felt the brunet rest his head into the crook of his neck. the warmness of joshua's cheeks felt hot and heavy against jun's cold neck, although it didn't compare at all to the intense heat brought about by joshua's breath against his skin as the brunet whispered. "so you think I'm cute huh?"

"shut up and go to sleep already joshua!" jun brought up one of his hands to gently shove joshua's head away from him onto the bed. muffled laughs from the brunet could be heard as joshua's head made contact with one of the many pillows near jun's headboard. the purple haired male peeked over his shoulder to see that his boyfriend was still widely grinning at him.

"so you love me huh?" jun turned around completely to match joshua, even going as far as to lean his head on his right hand to replicate the way the brunet laid on his left hand.

"I do. I love you." jun's heart skipped a beat as he waited for joshua's reaction. he knew that the brunet felt the same way, and he knew that he was sure of how he felt, but the purple haired teenager was still nervous. it was the first time he'd be saying those three words to joshua, not his sleeping form but to the wide awake senior while looking him in the eyes.

"good." joshua pressed his lips into a soft kiss onto jun's forehead. when he pulled away jun could feel the moisture that the brunet's lips left behind heat up the surface of his forehead. "I love you too."

"ew, disgusting." jun wiped his forehead and teased much to joshua's surprise. the brunet only glared at his boyfriend with an annoyed expression as the purple haired teenager beside him continued on. "you're so weird joshua, who even gives forehead kisses nowadays?"

"oh yeah, well at least I don't watch you when you sleep like some insane person!" joshua grumbled bitterly as he turned his back to jun with a sour expression. in an instant the purple haired teenager closed the gap between them by clinging onto joshua's back. "you are so creepy sometimes junhui, and it's not even in a cute I want to squish him way it's more like a is he going to kill me in my sleep moment!"

"it's not creepy! and plus you weren't even sleeping! you're so childish joshua, seriously!" jun whined. the brunet in his arms almost laughed at the irony of their situation. their roles were now reversed, where jun thought he was the annoying, childlike one in their relationship. "leave it to me to be the mature one in this relationship huh?"

"both of you are childish, now can you both shut up?" jia yelled from her bedroom which was only a few doors down from jun's. she had tried suffocating herself with a pillow to escape having to hear the couple's playful banter, but really it was just getting to be too much for her (what a hypocrite, her and chaeyoung acted the same way around each other!). the couple laughed softly as they gazed at one another before finally agreeing to settle this matter in the morning.

joshua had been the first to fall asleep again, this time for real, and as he mindlessly draped his arms over jun in his sleep, the purple haired teenager couldn't help but beam proudly. "good night to you too josh."
