43 || he's officially jun's personal pillow

jun sighed softly as he leaned on wonwoo's shoulder. the ravenette had broad shoulders so hypothetically they were the best to lay on seeing as they had a lot of space for that. somehow though jun found discomfort in laying his head on his best friend's shoulders. he shifted around a few times, laying his head in all different types of angles to try to gain some type of comfort but nothing really worked. it also definitely didn't work because of how wonwoo pushed jun's head right off of his left shoulder when the chinese senior tried to move his head once more.

"seriously jun, I can't read with you causing an earthquake right next to me." jun returned his head to his best friend's shoulder despite the ravenette's protests. wonwoo let jun do so even if it did disrupt his reading because he did have a soft spot for his best friend. although he was regretting being so leniant with jun because of how the chinese male just kept on shaking and shifting his head on his shoulders. the ravenette looked away from the novel in his hands to give jun a warning glare to which the chinese male smiled innocently in response.

"well it's not my fault you're not comfortable enough to lay on." jun frowned before settling in on an uncomfortable spot on wonwoo's shoulders. he wrapped his arms around  one of wonwoo's arms and sighed disappointedly, not completely satisfied with how his head ached. meanwhile the ravenette finally settled down after getting used to how jun clung to his arm. he was sure that the chinese male preferred to be cuddled than to have to cuddle, but nobody else other than him was currently around so jun settled for cuddling with his best friend (especially since he knew wonwoo wouldn't push him away).

the juniors in their friend group were sitting together, studying for an important science test they needed to pass while joshua had yet to arrive at their hangout at wonwoo's house. "I don't get how mingyu and channie find this hunk of junk comfortable, you're like a set of steel bars."

"I can't read if you're talking in my ear." wonwoo grumbled as he turned a page in the novel he was reading. he was already halfway through the book having started it last night and the ravenette was keen on finishing it before the night ended. he had a few more books to go through; his mother had found a few of her old school books in their attic and wonwoo was very determined to read them all by the end of the week. he was already on book three and there were at least five more to go until he reached his goal. their passion for reading was something they shared, just like how wonwoo shared a bond with his younger brother through gaming and how his father enjoyed sitting with him in silence during nights while they skimmed through television channels (they both were the quiet ones of the family after all).

"you are pretty charming and I guess people consider you to be highly intelligent, but these shoulders? I would not recommend them to my worst enemy." jun rambled on, causing wonwoo to scrunch up his face in frustration. he couldn't focus on the words on the pages in front of him when jun had been constantly talking about god knows what in his ear. the ravenette shot jun another side glance, hoping that his best friend would get the hint for him to shut up but when he saw that jun was eager about anything but being silent, wonwoo sighed.

"and now I'm not reading anymore." wonwoo bit the inside of his cheek and set his book down, making sure to mark the page he was on before doing so. jun excitedly lifted his head off of wonwoo's shoulder, glad to finally have his best friend on board with him instead of having the younger male bury himself into his books. the expression on jun's face was a very familiar one, he missed seeing jun look so happy because of how long it's been since they both just had a moment to hang out and talk amongst themselves. wonwoo missed his best friend. "what's up?"

"I'm really bored wonwoo." jun pushed his hair back from his face, shaking his bangs from his forehead so that his vision wasn't compromised. the chinese male didn't need glasses like wonwoo did, but he did have a hard time seeing when his long bangs were covering his eyes. jun made a mental note to get a haircut soon as he brushed his fingertips past the now small scar on his forehead. it reminded him of how he put himself in the hospital and how he scared everyone around him by doing so. it also served as a reminder that he had missed out on so much while he was in the hospital, which was a subject he was really curious about. "entertain me! tell me something interesting, anything cool happen lately?"

"nothing-"

"hey woo, are you done reading? if you are can you help me with this one thing please? seokmin says my answer is wrong but I know it isn't!" chan spoke eagerly, glaring at seokmin before looking down in anticipation for wonwoo's answer. jun also looked towards the ravenette and when he did, a rather large grin appeared on his face. chan was adamant on getting wonwoo to spend time with him rather than spend it with jun, since he had been eyeing the two from afar since they started cuddling on the couch, so he tugged on the senior's shirt sleeve with the biggest pair of puppy eyes he could conjure up on his face. it was like wonwoo was in a trance because he didn't even take a minute to decide to nod to chan, causing for the junior to skip happily back to the table behind them.

"when did that happen?" wonwoo could just hear the annoying smirk plastered on the purple haired student's face, he didn't have to turn to face jun to see it teasing him. the ravenette then proceeded to stand up and glare at his best friend bitterly. jun couldn't miss the faint blush that was caked on wonwoo's face as a result from his interaction with the junior from a mile away. jun opened his mouth to tease his best friend more, but he opted for a sharp laugh when the bespectacled senior stormed off in the direction of the table the juniors were all sitting at. "seriously shut up!"

jun laughed at his best friend and the way he stormed off. he was proud of wonwoo though for opening up to allowing someone into his heart whether it was chan, mingyu, or the both of them from the looks of it. mingyu had joined both wonwoo and chan at the table right after he had answered the door while everyone else was occupied with either their studies or each other. joshua had discreetly made his appearance and found his way onto the couch with jun, setting his stuff down on the floor in front of them before the chinese male turned to him. "you never told me that happened when you visited me at the hospital."

"well that was because I was occupied with something more important than whatever those three have going on at the moment." jun could tell by the look in joshua's eyes that he was talking about him and what they had done at the hospital. jun fiddled with the ends of his shirt as he recalled the memory of them laying in the hospital bed together. it was a memory he was very fond of; he thought about it every day he went home to an empty bed and every time he did he only missed joshua's presence more than he did the night before. "besides I don't think it's too serious yet, it looks like they still have to figure out their dynamics."

joshua gestured towards the table once again to direct his counterpart's attention to the trio. chan looked frustrated by mingyu's presence and was very clear on his method of retaliation, everyone in the house could hear him telling the taller junior to back off. of course mingyu wasn't the type to just follow orders like that, so he also took to arguing with chan and telling the shorter junior to back off. in the middle sat wonwoo who sighed, covering his face with his hands and wiping it before groaning in anger and grabbing both juniors by the ear to drag them out into the backyard of his house where he would scold the two without mercy.

jun and joshua both laughed, unintentionally leaning on to each other to catch themselves from falling backwards onto the couch while seokmin who was sitting at the table shook his head. the kitchen was where the junior decided to go to avoid all the annoying love bubbling around him. plus his phone had just started ringing and he needed a place that was quiet and lacked laughing or quarrelling couples so that he could answer it. the laughter in the living room died down as time progressed, jun and joshua had seen seokmin going to take a call so they quieted down in respect of the brunette's phone call.

"this is more like it." joshua raised an eyebrow at jun when the chinese male took to laying on his right shoulder. his silence caused for jun to look up at him after finding the perfect position to lay in on the brunette's shoulder. shortly after that the chinese male decided to provide an explanation as to what he was reffering to with his word choice. "wonwoo wasn't as comfortable as you are. you are oddly soft for a normal human being. from here on out I deem you my personal human pillow."

"hey jun?" the vibration of joshua's voice rang against the top of jun's head which was pressed against the brunette's neck. jun hummed in response to the brunette, not wanting to open his mouth to speak because of how comfortable he was. just sitting with joshua brought him peace and comfort, along with the rush of adrenaline in his veins that was prompted by how just thinking about joshua made blood rush to his face. "if I'm your pillow now, does that mean I get to sleep with you?"

"oh my god that was so stupid what the hell josh?" jun sat up to slap joshua in the chest, causing for the brunette to laugh loudly at the latter's reaction. the brunette's laughter gained the attention of their peers as they all spied on the two, curious to see what had made the serious academically-driven senior to burst out into such a jovial laugh. "that was a funny joke, admit it!"

"I'll admit it when pigs fly! I don't care what everybody else thinks; between the two of us, you're the child not me!"
