13 || it's joshua's fault, he dared me

joshua smiled on his way to his photography class once again. for the past few days, jun had taken it upon himself to act as wonwoo's substitute except he wasn't at all like the ravenette. where he was quiet and focused, jun was loud and distracting. sitting with the purple haired individual was getting on joshua's last nerve. that's why joshua was so happy today; wonwoo has recovered from his cold and was in school which meant he would no longer have to deal with jun and his playful antics.

and yet again the brunette had to deal with the disappointment that faced him as he realized that jun was still sitting in wonwoo's seat with the ravenette nowhere to be found. joshua frowned instantly as he set his books down on the art table and took a seat on his stoll. right on cue, jun flashed him a bright smile and greeted him warmly despite the cold expression on joshua's face.

"you do realize wonwoo is here today right? you can get out of his seat." jun wasn't surprised at all by joshua's comment or at the way the brunette barely spared him a glance. after their day in detention, joshua spent a lot of his time radiating with anger towards jun. that of course resulted in jun being partly ignored, when joshua did decide to speak to him it was in short, harsh sentences.

"yeah I know he's here, he's right over there actually." jun gestured to his old seat which was across the art room. the brunette looked over to where the chinese senior was pointing and immediately spotted the back of wonwoo's head buried in a book. he should have known jun was going to convince wonwoo to give up his seat in exchange for his old one; joshua was so caught up in getting rid of jun thag he had forgotten that was a possibility. "you're stuck with me for good now josh! we're officially seatmates, isn't this exciting? we should come up with cool code names or something."

"we're not doing any of that. I'm switching seats with someone else as soon as I get the chance." joshua shook his head and leaned his head on his left hand as he stared down into his notebook to pass time before their teacher arrived into the classroom. of course that wasn't enough to stop jun who only leaned his stool closer to joshua so that the brunette wouldn't be able to drown his voice out. "well then if that's the case, we're offical seatmates just for today. we should make the most of it!"

"speak to me again and I'll find a way to get a restraining order against you." joshua spoke bluntly. he looked up when their art teacher walked into the classroom, apologizing for her tardiness due to her attendance to a staff meeting. jun figured he didn't want to get joshua in trouble again, it wouldn't fit in with his plan of getting joshua to be friends with him, so he muttered one last thing before shutting himself up for the brunette's sake. "I've never had anyone try to file one of those against me before, gosh do I feel special!"

joshua ignored jun and instead poured his attention into the new lesson. their art teacher continued with her emphasis on photography. she wanted to make sure her class knew how to analyze photos and find the deeper meaning behind them. she spoke of symbolism, like how a shot of a cloudy day can add to a dreary mood while a photo of a bright sunny day can highly contribute to a happy, jovial shot.

after her explanation, the art teacher allowed for her students to work either independently or in pairs to analyze selected photos on worksheets she gave out. honestly she was just too lazy to go over her powerpoint slides and needed to work on grading assignments for her other classes so she figured that the photography class could manage this classwork assignment themselves.

jun was not, however, very keen about the idea of having to sit still and work independently on classwork. the classwork was a breeze for him seeing as he understood the basics of the lesson, so now the purple haired male sat with a bored expression on his face as he looked around the classroom and tapped his fingertips on the table to entertain himself. he continued to do so until he spotted a couple of pairs of students chatting amongst themselves, if they could do it and not get in trouble he could do it this time without having joshua get all rage monkey on his ass.

"man this photo analysis project is getting boring, are you done yet?" jun peered over joshua's shoulder as the brunette wrote out his thoughts on one of the last photos on their worksheet. he was just about done which worked perfectly well for jun's get joshua to talk to him agenda. "if I answer no will you stop talking to me and let me focus?"

"probably not. people do say I'm very unpredictable at times, who knows what I'll do? maybe I'll stand on the table and sing!" jun exclaimed softly, he didn't want to be scolded for being way too loud, as he laughed to himself. joshua stared at him blankly, causing the chinese student to grow flustered and shy about his tiny outburst. jun smiled, his cheeks gleamed the heat of his embarrassment, before quickly speaking again. "okay no I'm not going to do that, that's way too random even for me."

"I'm pretty sure you wouldn't do that anyways, chan says you're actually introverted and awkward in public settings. it's really hard to believe but I'm guessing it's true." jun scoffed at those words. even though they were true, he felt offended by the tone joshua used by speaking with them. that added to jun's insecurity about seeming weak in front of people only contributed to the impulsive side of him that wanted to prove joshua wrong. he didn't want to look weak, jun wanted joshua to be so surprised by him that the brunette would BEG to be his friend (jun had very high hopes lol).

"oh yeah? would an awkward person do this then!?!" joshua looked up as jun jumped out of his seat and began to dance on their table. wonwoo cringed in secondhand embarrassment and buried his face deeper into his book, if that was even possible, while other students stared and laughed along with jun.

joshua facepalmed himself as he tried his best to pretend like he didn't lmow jun, which proved to be ineffective when their teacher walked over to their table and demanded to know why jun was acting like a low-budgeted stripper in the middle of her classroom. and of course if joshua wasn't annoyed enough by the purple haired individual, he was infuriated by how jun shamelessly blamed him for his actions (he claimed joshua dared him to, and yes they both got detention afterwards).
