The weekend arrived, and on Friday Betty, jughead and Archie found themselves at Archie's house, getting ready to head to the campsite for the weekend. "Do you have everything we need?" Betty asked, scanning all their stuff. "For the fourth time, yes betts" jug laughed. "I just want to make sure" Betty said and jug placed his hands on her shoulders. "We have everything. Everything's okay" he assured her and kissed her nose. "Okay, ready to go?" Archie said and they both nodded. They said goodbye to Fred and FP and climbed into Archie's truck. Archie driving, Betty in the middle and jughead in the passenger side. "Okay let's get going" Archie smiled, starting the drive. The drive was a couple of hours, and they got there just before dinner time.

There was a few other families camping but the campsite was pretty empty apart from that. Betty watched as jughead and Archie started to put up their tent while Betty grabbed their stuff out the truck. "All done!" Jug said, standing back and looking at their tent. "Looks good" Betty smiled, putting their bags in the tent. "Shall I start dinner?" Archie asked. "Sure! I'm starving" jughead said. "Of course you are" Archie teased. Betty and jughead sat down on the chairs they brought, while Archie cooked hotdogs. Betty noticed the temperature change as the sun got lowered and shivered. "Cold baby?" Jug said and she nodded. Jug stood up, heading into the tent and coming back out with his red Sherpa. "Here you go" he said. "Thanks juggie" she smiled. "Okay! Foods done!" Archie exclaimed and handed out the hotdogs. "Thank you" Betty said. "Thanks babe" jug said. "These are really good!" Jug praised. "Thanks" Archie said. The three of them ate and laughed, making s'mores and sitting around the campfire, enjoying each other's company.

As it got later, Betty wanted to head to the bathrooms, a few minutes walk away, to freshen up and get ready for bed. "Can you guys come with me?" She asked her boyfriends. "I don't want to go on my own" she added. "Of course we will!" Archie said as they both stood up. Betty grabbed her pyjamas, and her wash bag, as the three of then walked to the bathrooms. Betty went into the ladies toilets and washed and got changed, while the boys did the same, then waited for her outside. When she was done, they smiled at her. "Can I talk to you guys about something?" She asked, and they both nodded. "Erm...I wanted to let you know that I've got a bit of anxiety" she admitted and their eyes both widened in concern. "Why baby?" Jug asked. "I...I haven't been to the woods since my dad..." she explained; and the boys remembered when Hal cooper, the black hood, tried to kill Betty in the woods. "And I don't know, I just feel on edge" she said, letting out a shaky breath. "Oh betts... why didn't you tell us?" Archie asked. "You were so excited" she said. "I am too! I just...I don't know" she sighed. "We get it betts" jug said, softly. "How about was make some new, happier memories yeah?" He suggested and Betty smiled, nodding. "Okay, Come on then, let's head back" Archie said, as Betty took both their hands to walk back.  "Can I please wear your sweatshirt?" Betty asked Archie as they all got into the sleeping bags, Betty of course in the middle. "Sure, here" Archie said, handing it over. "Thank you" she said, shrugging it on. "You better put these on as well betts, we know how cold you get" jug laughed, giving her some fluffy socks. "Thanks" she giggled and snuggled deeper into the sleeping bag. "Sleepy?" Jug asked and she nodded. He stroked the hair from her face and kissed her. "Goodnight baby" he said. "Goodnight" Betty yawned. "Sleep tight" Archie added, kissing her as both boys settled down.

In the middle of the night, the boys were woken up by Betty yelling in her sleep. "No! Please stop!" She screamed. "Hey, hey...betts" jug said, as Archie gently shook her. "Wake up baby" Archie said as Betty kept thrashing about. "P..please stop" Betty whimpered. "It's just a dream betts, we're here" jug said and Betty suddenly shot you and was gasping for breath. "Hey you're okay" Archie said softly, as Betty's eyes scanned around, trying to work out what happened. "Take some deep breaths Baby" jug encouraged. "That's it" he said when she copied his breathing. "I'm sorry" Betty cried and tears started falling. "Shhh, don't apologise" Archie said as both boys wrapped her up in their arms. "You're okay, you're safe honey" he said. After a while, Betty was calm again. "Are you okay?" Jug asked. "Do you want to talk about it?" He added. "It was a bad dream" she said. "About my dad" she told him. "He can't hurt you anymore betts" Archie said. "You're safe, and you're definitely safe with us" he said and Betty nodded. "I know" she said. "We love you so much" jughead said. "I love you both too" she said. "I'm sorry for waking you up" she sighed, laying back down. "Don't apologise" jug said, as the boys lay down next to her. "Goodnight" Betty said. "Goodnight" the boys said. After a few minutes, Betty sighed. "Are you okay?" Jug said. "I...still anxious" she sighed. "My hearts beating so fast" she added and grabbed their hands, holding them over her chest. "Okay, let's calm you down" Achie said, pulling her to sit up. "How about I make us hot chocolate?" Jughead suggested and Archie agreed. Jughead slipped out of the tent, and started to make them hot chocolate. "How you feeling honey?" Archie asked, pulling Betty onto his lap, and Betty rested her head on his chest. "I'm okay" she shrugged. "You sure?" He pressed. "I just feel shaky" she admitted and Archie nodded, running his hands up and down her back to try and clam her down. After a few moments jughead came back with the hot chocolates and Betty sat down in the middle of them. "Thank you" she said, grateful for the boys she loved.
