The next day, the three of them woke up and started getting ready for their day at school. "We have to start that chemistry project we have today" Betty said as she took a bite of her toast. "We can do it at mine, we have family dinner with our days tonight anyway" Archie said and Betty and jughead agreed. Once they were done with breakfast, they grabbed their bags, got in the truck and drove to school. "I'm so tired today" Betty whined, leaning on jughead as they all sat with their friends in the student lounge. "It because you worked a four hour shift last night" Archie laughed, rubbing her leg. "I still don't get why you work cousin" Cheryl said from where she had her arm around Toni. "I need money" Betty shrugged. "I can help you out if you're struggling B" Veronica smiled. "Thanks V, but I'm not struggling I'm okay" Betty reassured. "Betts just wants some independence" jug spoke. "I get that" fangs nodded. "I think it's cool" he added and Betty grinned.

Later in the day, Betty was spending her last period of school in the art room working on a new painting. She'd felt very stressed that week and was channelling it into something creative. There was a lot on her mind about her mother that she was trying to forget about, and hadn't told her boyfriend, which she knew it was something she should do, but just hadn't found the right time. Talking of her boyfriends, at the end of the day, they strolled into the art room. "Hey" she smiled. "Hi babe" "hey baby" they grinned, both kissing her. "What you working on?" Archie asked as they looked at her canvas. "I'm just trying something different" she shrugged. "It's really cool betts" jug praised. They watched as she worked for a little longer until she packed up and they all went back to Archie's to work on their project. When they got there, jug and Archie went straight into the kitchen. "Erm...guys" Betty said, timidly playing with her fingers. "Yeah?" Archie said and then looked at her and frowned. "Are you okay?" He asked, which got jugs attention. "Betts? What's up?" He asked, and Betty sighed. "I need to talk with you, I've been waiting for the right time" she said and their concern grew. "Can we talk in your room?" She said to Archie and he nodded; the boys following her up the stairs.

Upstairs, the boys were sat on her bed as she stood pacing in front of them. "Okay, I've been wanting to tell you guys something this week but just haven't found the right time, but you said I can talk to you about anything~" she rambled and jughead cut her off. "And you can baby, what's bothering you?" He said, softly. "I'm really stressed" she sighed. "This whole thing with my mom is messing my head up and I know I'm away from her but the damage she's done is still there and I've been trying to distract myself with pops and art and cheerleading but nothings working and I'm so tired" she ranted, not realising she'd began to cry. Archie and jughead shared a concerned glance before Archie brought her to the bed and settle her in between them. "Shhh baby, let it out" Archie said, rubbing her back. When she was done crying, she wiped her eyes and looked at them. "We're really proud of you for telling us betts" jug smiled, wiping a stray tear. "I know you're stressed and sad, and we'll figure something out to help you okay?" He said, and she sniffed, nodding. "As for distracting yourself, anytime you feel like that come to us and we'll do something fun to take your mind off it" Archie smiled and Betty nodded. "Thank you" she said, wrapping her arms around both of them and hugging them. "We love you" jug said. "I love you too" she said.

An hour later, they were all sat around the table with FP and Fred having dinner. "I think we're going to stay here tonight" Archie said. "We have a project we have to start" he added and Fred nodded. "That's fine" he smiled. They carried on eating until Fred spoke up. "Oh! I forgot to mention to you kids" he started. "I found the tent in the garage, and was wandering if you guys wanted to use it?" He asked. "I think that sounds good" Archie agreed. "Same, and Betts, you could use a little break" jug said, looking over at her. "Why? What's up?" FP asked, concerned. "I..." Betty started. "Just after everything you know? Would be nice to get away" jug said for her and Betty smiled appreciatively. "How about this weekend?" Archie suggested and the others agreed.  Later that night, they were all in bed when jughead said "so camping?". "I think it will be fun" Archie smiled. "Betts?" He said, noticing she hadn't said anything. "Me too" she smiled.
