I was nervous from the least. I had anxiety, nervousness, and so much more which wouldn't put me in a good spot. I managed to wake up early for the first time but the fact that I knew no one and if they could be rotten or sweet, kind of made my stomach hurt. I noticed a girl with brown locks who had her hands crossed together and talking with her "boyfriend" I suppose. I didn't want to bother them but everyone else looked like they were in a bad mood, and honestly, I would feel like I would push their buttons.
"E-excuse me? Could you help me go to ms. Bustier's English room?" I asked, making an awkward face. Instead of locating me, she made this face like she was trying to figure out something. "I-is something wrong?" But as soon as she figured out that it looked a bit rude, she waved her arms lightly and smiled. "No, no, I'm sorry you just remind me of someone from my past." She muttered. "O-oh, I'm sorry if it reminded you of a bad past." I said in an apologetic way. "No way, she was my bestfriend." Her smile turned a bit depressed, but soon located me to the class.
There was only about 10 minutes left until class actually started, but I found some people who were either listening to music, reading, or just talking. It wasn't noisy though. "Excuse me, I'm the new student, marinette dupain Cheng." I greet formally. "Hello! I'm your teacher, ms. Bustier. You can sit anywhere where you like until class starts so I can arrange your seats." She smiled. "Thank you very much." I smile. I found a seat at the back, and decided to sit there until the 10 minutes passed by. I put my headphones on, and closed my eyes. I heard a bang on the desk I was sitting on, with a clearly pissed off guy.
He looked at me like I was a piece of gum under the table. He tried his hardest to look scary, but no one cared. "What are you doing?" He grunted. "Sitting at a table." I said in the most unenthusiastic way possible. "Get out!" He shouted in my ear. "Ugh such a pain." I muttered, walking to another seat. I looked back and noticed a small blood stain and a bruise on his cheek. Must have been injured, and he put his cheap pride and shame on me.
But instead of an injury from falling down or by accident, it seems like he did it with a fight. His sleeve was a bit ripped, and his mouth had a little bit of blood as well. Also, from his movement, it's beat around the bush, and his mood seems tempered. But none of this was my business, so I shouldn't even care about it.
I noticed more students filing in. They took the seats that I sat in, and left me standing up examining the room. I saw the girl who told me where to go for mrs. Bustier's class, coming in the door. She sat in the second to the front desk, which had an empty seat next to her. After everyone calmed down, they noticed me just standing there. "Class, this is our new transfer student. Her name is marinette dupain Zheng, and she is from America but she is also fluent in French. If you want to ask her questions, ask her during lunch or free period. Why don't you sit next to Lila?" Mrs. bustier finished, as she pointed to the girl who led me to the directions to her class.
"Hey, can I talk to you after school? It's important." She asked, showing great concern. "S-sure." I accepted.
A/N: I know I shouldn't start a new book when I have more to finish but mmm the Japanese word for childhood friends is so soothing.
