All According To Plan

Water fell into the bucket as it was wrung out of the rag. He lifted his arm up and down, scrubbing away at the red portions that have already crusted over......

Moving his shaking hand slowly as not to slip and empty the contents of the bag; a few sticky red droplets can't be helped though and they escape into the floor boards. Tying it, he turned this into an opportunity to better his ability to use warp gate.

Connecting the dots between his location and the desired one, he closed his eyes and turned his quirk on. Black mist climbed from his arm and underneath the black bags that fell through it. A metal bang echoed through the gate.

Knowing that he got the correct location, he closed the gate and deactivated his quirk. Black hair once again fell to his shoulders as it was no longer held back by the tie.

Finished his cleaning, he saw the doctor in the corner of his eye and his actions stopped.

The doctor waved his hand and he followed. The hall was dimly lit and growls echoed beneath the floorboards.

They didn't exchange words as they often have nothing to say. The walk was completely silent until they reached a door he hadn't been to before. Not that he can recall anyways.

The doctor opened it up but didn't enter. Instead he gestured for him to go in, so he did.

The door closed behind but he kept his eyes forward. A figure sat in the corner, tubes and wires were strung from the ceiling. Walking forwards, a hazy memory came to him.

"I have an offer for you." the figure spoke with simple confidence. "It isn't much, but the doctor is indecisive on the matter. You have yet to be given a name, so you may pick between the two given. Kurogiri, or Yūrei?"

His mind twisted, opting for the second of the choices as it sounded more fitting for whatever he is. Master smiled. This was a strange sensation, making a decision where he had free choice.

"Then, Yūrei, I would like to give a new task." He stayed silent, he knows better than to intervene when master is giving tasks to him.

Nodding at his instructions, he exited the room as he was dismissed. Growls echoed beneath the floor boards. Increasing each night to the point of slipping into the bar, Yūrei found an intrigue growing inside his head but it feels heavy to keep, like it's a disease needing to be cut out. Perhaps this is something to go to the doctor with, but that would interrupt his already busy schedule for something that currently sits as a trivial inconvenience. If it should continue to fester inside then he would go to the doctor, but for now he has a task to get on with, and what an important task it is.

Entering the bar, warp gate was used to bring a fresh rag from the closet and to the counter. Though new to his quirk,  Yūrei was quickly catching onto it and found its properties incredibly useful. Though, there was one aspect he had yet to try out. No one was a guinea pig for him to experiment with.

******************

Many years had passed, his tasks never changed. Watching his ward was something he never anticipated for a prolonged use of his, but at least he still held a use in master's arsenal and soon, he would be able to continue serving his masters.

His blue haired master looked at his glass as he held it with four fingers. Glass clinked against the breakable substance.

"Two days Yūrei. Two days and we finally kill All Might" scratching away it his neck with his free hand, Master Shigaraki continued muttering and cursing the hero under his breath.

All Might is a failed attempt at a hero. Nothing but a mockery of the society created to protect his ward instead of leaving the boy to suffer.

Something rubbed Yūrei the wrong way today. Nothing important or alarming, just the fact that once again he feels exceptionally empty today. Hollow is a better word to describe it.

Doctor called for the warp user to see him that evening but he doesn't know what for. Perhaps it is about the strange feelings he's had recently that he cannot explain. He doesn't like them, feeling that they prohibit him from being useful or perhaps that they hinder his ability to serve.

Only this evening would tell what the issue plaguing him for years is.

*********

A monitor beeped monotonously in the background of the dark room.

"So Doctor, you found a flaw in Yūrei?" Master asked, sounding disappointed.

"Sadly so. However it won't prove to he an issue, I am already reprogramming him tonight." Doctor spoke confidently.

"Oh? Will he be operational for our plan?" Masters tone change to a challenging one.

"Of course. He will serve better than before. He will finally be... perfect. Have no worries Sir, nothing will hinder Yūrei after this"

"I should hope not. Hurry on with your preparations, the time for out plan is almost near."

The Doctor nodded, smiling behind his mustache. He spun around and left the room. Yūrei was already waiting for him, now all the Doctor had to do was have some fun and fix a past mistake.

A/N: I didn't realise how long it had been since I updating this damn story. I am super sorry, but I have a plan and I hope to carry on with chapter publication moving forward. Hopefully next chapter makes up for the near two years without an update. Have a wonderful day and stay safe!
