Goth couldn't help but smile as he walked through the streets of an Overtale AU, going to an Outertale AU to think would make Ink suspicious and he did not need that attention right now.

He and Shades had gone their separate ways after the party, Shades had some research that he needed to do but him, he had something that he needed to do.

And he had to buy a phone too. He now needed to get Shades's phone number from him, and he had dropped by Nightmare's place to get his Papa's number. Papa had been happy about that.

But Goth couldn't help the smile that he was currently wearing... He was going to be in so much trouble when Horror, Killer and Cross found out what he had done.

------

He sniggered as he fished out the chocolate from Cross's stash, he had already shoved Horror's Head Dogs into their fridge.

"Right, I have to put a paint trap above Killer's door and set up a few cameras." He almost skipped as he made his way to Killer's door, setting up the paint trap and the cameras before he left the AU.

-----

Killer and Cross's reactions had been priceless.

-----

"KILLER!" Killer fell out of his bed. "GET OUT HERE RIGHT NOW, YOU CHOCOLATE STEALING BASTARD!"

"I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE YOU PUT IT!" He yelled back as he got up, deciding it would be a good idea if they had breakfast first, before they tried to kill each other, again.

He yelped when something metal covered his head, and he pulled the bucket off to see that he was covered in pink paint.

"CROSS!" Actually, screw breakfast, he was going to kill him.

And both of them screamed at the Head Dogs.

-----

He was still giggling as he sat down in an empty field to look at the masonry that he had gotten from the Temple. There was something familiar about it, but taking it out of his inventory every time that he needed to see it was getting a bit troublesome.

He placed a blank piece of paper that he had cut to size over the masonry, having already cleaned off the grime from the temple from the masonry. He taped the paper down before he started to rub a piece of charcoal over the paper.

He could see all of the carvings on the masonry coming to life on the paper and one of them caught his attention.

It was part of a circle, with a part of a symbol in it.

It looked familiar, like he had seen it before.

A very long time ago.

Goth frowned. Where had he seen this before? He then remembered something.

All of the main AUs in his Multiverse could be identified by a symbol within a circle, it was how you could tell the original apart from the copies.

This masonry piece had an AU symbol on it, but he did not have enough of it to identity the symbol.

He needed to find another Temple first, in order to get another masonry piece.

He silently cursed when he realised that he couldn't tell Shades about this, not until they met again.

He sighed, putting everything away in his inventory, before he got up.

He had some free time, maybe it would be a good idea to drop by that Temple again, in case that the Temple was still standing and to find out if he had missed something.

He tore open a portal to Underdesert, heading straight to the Temple.

It seemed that the Temple had mostly survived the collapse of the cave, and he could see that the desert was already reclaiming the land here.

There was a taste of Magic in the air that he was unfamiliar with, but, he could sense a familiar Magic as well.

Someone else had been here, someone who was not him or Nightmare, and there had been more than one visitor to this AU...

The scraggy plants growing around the Temple had withered and died, he recognised this.

He had seen it a lot while he was growing up.

"Dad?" He asked, before he started to run towards to the Temple. He didn't even care that this would cause him a lot of problems in the future. His Dad had been here!

"DAD!" He yelled as he entered the Temple. He ignored the carvings on the walls, he could look at them later. His Dad could be hurt.

The sand had slightly built up here, but it wasn't enough to hide a scythe or a phone.

"No..." He whispered, before he ran over to the items, falling to his knees besides them. "Dad...."

He reached out with his hands, only to stop when they were almost touching his Dad's scythe. He could feel something building up in his Soul.

He pulled his hands back, and with no emotions on his face, removed everything from the waist up, setting the clothing, scarfs and travel bag to one side, before he reached out for his Dad's scythe again.

He could feel the build up in his Soul being released from his back as he grabbed his Dad's scythe.

He looked behind him and he gasped, seeing the fluffy silver wings behind him. They flapped in the air once, causing a small breeze, before he let go of the scythe.

The wings disappeared the moment that he let go of the scythe, but he could still feel them. His bones felt grounded and stable, anchored to the ground. He was not ready to use his Dad's scythe....

And sometimes, Magic came with a price, what had he given up in order to use his Dad's scythe?

He picked up the scythe again, before he sent it to his inventory, he would have to get adjustments for his coat and his top later, if the wings were going to be a thing, whenever he used his Dad's scythe.

He pulled his clothing back on, before he picked up the other item, his Phone.

Dad had gone for a phone with a long battery life, and the battery had died a while ago, but Goth did have a portable charger. He hooked his Dad's phone up to the charger and he left it to charge, while he looked around.

The Temple seemed to be telling a story, one that he already knew, the story of Ink and Fear, but the carving with Broomie in it caused him to stop.

Ink got Broomie right after Fate took his Soul? That was weird. It was already clear that his Soul was somewhere else, but why would he get Broomie right after it was taken?

Unless, Broomie was more then Ink's weapon.... No one could survive for long without their Soul.... Wait.... Did this mean...

"Broomie's Life Support for Ink?!" Goth asked himself.

------

Ink sneezed while he was in the middle of designing a new AU, was someone talking about him?

------

Goth looked at the last one and he was shocked. How... Why was Error here? And him as well, with silver wings? Did Fate knew that this was to happen... No... Fate was not the only Deity that could interact with the Multiverse....

He was knocked out of his thoughts by the light on his portable charger going out and he turned on his Dad's phone to see how much charge it now had.

5%. He really had to remember that the portable charger needed to be recharged as well.

The phone lit up as it received a call. Geno....

"Mom..." He whispered, frowning. He wanted to hear his Mom's voice, it had been so long since he had heard it....

He sent a message through the codes to Shades. 'Shades, I have a chance to speak to Mom again, should I take it?'

'Yes.'

He could practically taste the sorrow that Shades was feeling. It wasn't fair, why? Why did Fate have to do this to them. Why did Fear want Ink's Soul? When could they go home?

He just wanted to go home, to be with his family again.

He was crying.

He hit the 'Accept' button.

------

Geno gasped as the call went through. "Reaper?" He asked, hoping that he would get an answer from his husband.

He didn't get that answer, but for the one that he did get, he would do this and over again, no matter how much it hurt him....

"Mom?"

"GOTH?!" He yelled, before he burst into tears. "You're okay..."

"Mom..." Goth was crying too. Geno could feel it in his bones.

"My baby, my baby bones... Where are you Goth? Just tell me where you are and I'll come and get you."

"I can't Mom, not now.. I just can't..." Goth sobbed. "There's something that I need to do before I can come home..."

"Where's Reaper? Is he with you?"

"No, I found Dad's scythe and his phone, but he's not here. I only had enough power on my portable charger to charge Dad's phone to 5%, and it's running out."

"Goth..." Geno realised what this meant. "No, don't you dare hang up on me Goth Oblivion Afterdeath, you are going to talk to me until that battery runs out, or you are grounded baby bones!" That should give him enough time to call someone that could trace the call, so that he could find Goth and bring him home.

"I love you Mom." Goth smiled.

"I love you too Baby Bones and don't you dare hang up on me!"

"Tell Raven, Shino and Sorell that I love them too."

"You can tell them yourself, in person."

"Heh... I hope that you liked my presents..."

"That was you?!"

"Yeah, I love you Mom.... I have to go now..."

"NO!" Geno yelled, right as the call was ended. "GOTH!"

-----

He ended the call, turning his Dad's phone off and placing it into his inventory, before his sobs grew louder, and he let himself go, crying into his hands.

He stopped crying a few minutes later, before he wiped his tears away from his eyes.

It was time for him to leave.

He needed to talk to Shades, it was time for him to be the supportive one. Shades needed a hug.

And they needed to exchange phone numbers.

He left Underdesert, heading for the Library.
