"you think we were stupid didnt you" sir said sitting on the chair that was in front of her, a table was between them that he used to chuck some papers on. pictures were placed on the table. 

"she was your friend"

"she trusted you" jimin said. 

"there is honestly no point in lying and saying you did not do it. the gun matches, we have you on video going to her house earlier and leaving before you even called the police." 

"also we have you going to her place and leaving around the time she was killed"

"wait, i thought she was killed before the day i found her" was the first thing she said, taehyung slapped his head- growing frustrated with her.

"if the body had been there for a couple of days, there would be been a huge smell but when we walked in there was one but walking in you could easily tell it was fresh." 

"what i dont understand is how come no one heard a gunshot?" jungkook hummed. 

"its a retirement neighbourhood, majority of the neighbours have hearing problems" sir replied.

"that worked pretty well for you didnt it" jimin hummed. 

taehyung smiled when she went quiet, it was like she did not know what to say. she knew she was caught. 

"also have examination of the body the time of death was around the time you stepped into her house" taehyung shrugged. 

"now" jungkook hummed pressing the button on recorder. "tell us why and how". 

as dorothy started talking it all started to make sense. 

"you would of had help to forge documents, who helped you" taehyung asked. 

she went silent. "taehyung go grab a search warrant for her house please" sir said, keeping eye contact with the older women who smirked "good luck trying to find anything" she stated. 

"well you did a shit job hiding the murder weapon, so it should not be hard finding anything else" taehyung replied, walking out the room and rushing to the office. 

jungkook quickly rushed towards the investigation team, "get ready team, we are searching dorothy's house" he called out to the others who nodded and started to get ready. 

"you coming along?" jungkook asked jimin who was heading towards the car "cant miss this for anything" the male smirked.

taehyung was currently in the murders officer, going through the thousands of papers she had. chucking a decent amount of it on the floor. taehyung's eyes stopped a paper that was similar to sherlys that was on her desk. 

"jungkook" taehyung said. 

jungkook walked over to taehyung and looked at the paper that was in his hands. "she was going to be a co-owner of the coffee club" he muttered. 

"that must mean that sherly must of changed her mind and was going to get a request to take her off the building but dorothy must of found out" taehyung said. 

"chief jeon, detective kim?" officer garrett said walking into the office, holding a few papers and pictures. "your gonna wanna see this" he said- walking over to them and placing the papers and pictures on the desk. 

"oh my" was the first thing taehyung saw when he saw pictures of sherlys ex husband with dorothy. "we searched her room and found a bunch of males clothes in the draws and its the same clothes as the pictures" garrett confidently said.

"pack this all into evidence" jungkook said to garrett who nodded and took the stuff away. 

"this is starting to unravel" taehyung whispered, looking up at jungkook who nodded. 

once they gathered some stuff from the house they went back to the department to see if they could tie anything together. as they put everything on the table taehyung started to write down his theory. 

"okay I think sherly owned a really popular cafe. her ex-husband found out how much she was making from it and got mad, dorothy had been having an affair with him for a few years, sherly found out and was upset- especially when she was gonna co-own the cafe with dorothy. it was easy for dorothy to pin the murder on the son"

"i called his doctor and he takes medication for anxiety, depression and to help him sleep" taehyung stated. 

"so the cafe was doing well and then she wanted to retire from it and sell the business to someone who was going to give her enough money to retire. dorothy found out and got angry, especially since she was so close to getting that cafe" jungkook said

"they both must of planned a way to kill her, plonk it onto someone else and get off scot free?" taehyung shrugged. 

"cause if dorothy ended up being the co-owner then she would of had rights to decide what happens to the business. even with those papers on sherlys desk that could of still meant dorothy could of decided what happened to the cafe. pending on the will" 

"we should see what the will says" jungkook said 

"no point" jimin said walking in with a amused look on his face. 

"she just confessed to everything" he replied

"and sherly's ex-husbands doings, they are on their way to arrest him now"

"everything you said tae was exactly what she just confessed to. you all were dead on" jimin said.

taehyung felt relived that she confessed but also gutted that he did not get to personally arrest her or get information out of her. jungkook could tell taehyung was a bit bummed, he felt bad cause he knows the feeling of being so close to finding out the truth and spending so much time on a case only for them to confess. 

which is not a bad thing. but it can take a toll on you. "you still got her arrested babe" jungkook whispered to taehyung who looked up at him with tired eyes. "y-yeah" he gave a small and quick smile. 

"we should give all this evidence to sir, before the end of the day. good work team" taehyung said before walking to his office. 

"just give him a moment" jimin said, a hand on the males arm- stopping him from following taehyung to the office.
