it was the second day of taehyung's job and he had just arrived at work in his uniform, he looked at the timetable board seeing he was in the jail today.

taehyung walked towards the locker room seeing other guards there, but ignored them, he walked away as he felt nervous about being a jail guard. he sighed grabbing his belt and wrapping it around his waist.

"you new" he heard someone asked as he turned around to see a officer, taehyung nodded feeling a little shy.

"nice to meet you, im hoseok" the man says as he reaches his hands out for taehyung who smiles shaking his hand.

"taehyung" he replies

"I will see you around taehyung" hoseok smiles before leaving the locker room.

taehyung grabbed his ID card putting the ID card in his belt before shutting the locker door and walking out.

he walked towards the doors that entered the jail, he swiped his card which made the doors open. taehyung walked down the hall, looking at the cells seeing them empty, he walked into the cafeteria and stood by the wall keeping an eye on everyone.

he hated being a guard in the jail he felt super unsafe around the inmates without much guards.

he heard men and women whisper about him as he was standing there.

he watched people come in and out of the cafeteria and whisper amongst themselves.

he saw two girls rush in and run towards him

"guard there is a fight in the bathrooms" they girls say as taehyung nods rushing to where they pointed not realizing the smirks they had.

taehyung rushed into the bathrooms to see no one in there, taehyung looked around everywhere but could not find anyone. he shrugged and was about to walk out when he was thrown against the wall.

taehyung screamed in pain as he felt the sink come in contact with his back.

the new officer looked up to see an angry inmate "lookie here we have a newbie" the older guy says

"chief jeon seems to like you a lot" he raises his hand touching taehyungs cheek

"l-let me g-go." taehyung says as he shakes slightly

"why would I do that we could have some fun. dont know any self defence." he says as taehyung tries to kick him to get away,"if you were surrounded by fat guys would you be able to" taehyung said but it only made the guy angry.

"you should not said that" the guy said as he placed both his hands on taehyung's neck causing him to choke.

"oh look at who cannot talk now" he says as he watched tears run down taehyungs pale face.

jungkook had just finished paper work and was now on duty to the jail, he walked into the jail and walked into the cafeteria to see no guards watching over the cafe. jungkook frowns and pulls out his intercom.

"who was meant to be watching over cafe, over" jungkook says waiting for a reply

"kim taehyung, over" the guy replies as jungkooks eyes widen.

"jeon, this is security from cams we have eyes on a police officer getting chocked in ground one bathrooms, over" when that was said over the intercom jungkook had never ran so fast in his life

he ran into the bathroom to see taehyung's face pale and on the floor.

"taehyung" jungkook whispers kneeling towards taehyung and shaking his shoulders

"come on bub wake up" jungkook says not noticing the nickname he had just called taehyung.

jungkook checked his pulse to see it faintly there. jungkook picked taehyung up bridal style rushing away from the crowd of inmates as he runs towards the door to see officers at the end as he rushes past them.

"you three watch the inmates" jungkook calls out

"yes chief!" they yell running towards the cafe.

jungkook reaches the nurses office, not knocking to see jin looking up at him in shock.

"omg tae" jin says as he points to the bed by his desk

"what happened" jin says checking his pulse

"he was chocked by an inmate, I got there late and he was laying on the ground" jungkook says running his hands through his hair.

"this is the third officer they have done this too" jin pouted.

"he is still breathing" jin says grabbing a blanket and damp towel, placing it over taehyung's hair.

"go back to work, I will call you when he wakes up" jin says as jungkook sighs nodding walking towards the security room, slamming the door open.

"find out who hurt taehyung and send me his name and cell number" jungkook says as they all nod

"yes, chief" they say to jungkook as he leaves walking to sir's office.

"jungkook I heard what happened is taehyung okay" sir asks

"im not sure, I dont want him being a guard from now on" jungkook says sternly

"that is your decision to make jungkook and i respect that" sir says.

"it was out fault, we have not even given him much training before chucking him into the deep end- I will apologise when he wakes up. keep me updated with how he is doing" sir said sternly.

jungkook nods walking out going back to his office to see dori sitting on a chair.

"dori how may I help you?" jungkook asks walking behind his desk.

"just bored" she says twirling her hair.

jungkook grabs paper work from under his desk sighing out loud and slapping it in front of her.

"here, these are due by the end of the week" jungkook says walking out of his office leaving a shocked dori.

taehyung was now awake and looking around the room he was in, he saw jin typing on his computer.

"h-hyung" taehyung says but coughs straight after catching jin's attention.

"oh tae" jin says rushing towards him, grabbing the cup of water by the bedside table and handing it to him.

after taehyung sipped the whole drink he looked at jin.

"w-who found me" taehyung stutters

"jungkook" jin says as taehyung sighs nodding.

jin already knew what he was thinking so he butted in.

"dont feel bad or feel like you're a burden. cause you arent, jungkook just wants you safe. it was there fault for putting you there in the first place- especially without the proper training" jin says as taehyung's heart flutters at the thought of jungkook caring about him.

"does jimin know?" taehyung says as jin shakes his head

"he is not on patrol today but he will be notified tomorrow" jin replies

"I will get jungkook for you" jin says walking out before taehyung could reply.

jin was now on the hunt for jungkook, he walked towards the front desk to see him not there. he walked towards the front door of the jail swiping his card and walking down the hall to see jungkook talking to the inmates in the cafe.

"I am disappointed, I am mad that no one helped the new officer" jungkook says

"we did not hear anyone" an inmate says

"I will find out who did this and he will pay" jungkook says coldly

the chief looks towards the door to see jin who was staring at him nodding. he new that must of meant he was awake. jungkook left without saying another word before rushing to jin

"how is he?" jungkook asks

"he is fine, he is still in the nursing room, I will go for my break and give you guys privacy" jin says to jungkook who nods rushing out of the jail.

he reaches the nurses doors and opened it to reveal taehyung who was now looking up at the door. sighing in relief and walked next to taehyung sitting on the bed.

"how are you" jungkook asks as taehyung smiles

"tired" taehyung replies to his boss who nods understanding

"are you okay?" taehyung asked looking at the officer who looked really tired.

"im alright" jungkook replies instead, brushing his fingers against taehyung's cheek.

"I was so worried" jungkook let out

"remembering you laying on the ground your face was super pale" jungkook say's looking away

"I should have gotten their sooner" jungkook said running his hands through his hair.

"n-no ggukie dont every say that" taehyung says sitting up, grabbing jungkook's hand

"it was not your fault, it was mine. I trust to easily" he says rubbing jungkook's hand

"I have taken you off security. we should have not chucked you into the deep end without any defence training- that was our fault." jungkook says linking their hands together.

"what am I doing now then?" taehyung asks

"you will just be working by myside until you figure out what you want to do" jungkook said as taehyung nods happy with that choice.
