jungkook stayed at his parents house for dinner before going home, he pulled into his driveway to see taehyung's red car. he hopped out of his car bringing taehyung gift basket from his parents inside the house.

he shut the door behind him and walked to his kitchen placing it down, jungkook went up to his room and quickly washed up before hopping into bed and falling asleep.

a week had passed and every time jungkook visited taehyung he looked more and more tired. taehyung was now walking alright but sometimes needed help.

jimin told jungkook that taehyung mainly stayed in bed, it was the day where taehyung was now going to jungkook's house. the officer spent everyday visiting him in the hospital making sure he was okay.

jungkook had pulled into the hospital, quickly heading inside to see taehyung already there with jimin.

"ggukie!" he heard taehyung say from the chair as he watched him get up and slowly walk over to him- jungkook smiled and spread his arms wide so taehyung could hug him.

taehyung wrapped his arms around jungkook's neck as jungkook gently places his hands on taehyung's back.

"ready to leave?" jungkook asked as taehyung smiled and nodded

"here is his phone" jimin says passing jungkook the phone and went to hug taehyung

"I will come visit you soon" jimin says as he follows them outside.

"thanks for everything chim" taehyung mumbles as jimin pecks his cheek before watching them walk towards jungkook's car.

jungkook grabbed taehyung's hand and lead his to the car and opened the door for him.

the smaller male whispered a thank you as he slowly got in the car and put his seatbelt on, jungkook closed the door and walked to the other side-hopping into the car and handing taehyung his phone.

he started the car and drove off.

it was silent in the car, the only noise that was heard was the radio and jungkook's thoughts that only himself could of course hear.

jungkook was thinking back to when he saw taehyung only just a few seconds ago, jungkook thought taehyung looked so tired. every passing day taehyung looked more and more tired and it seemed like he was trying to stay awake.

jungkook pulled into his house and parked in the garage.

he hopped out of the car and walked to taehyung's side helping him out of the car and inside. 

the taller male walked towards the couch and helped taehyung sit down, he quickly rushed back to his car and shut the doors, he then walked to taehyung's car and grabbed his laptop and things out of it before shutting and locking the door.

he walked into the garage and shut the door and hopped inside walking towards taehyung who had his eyes close and then opened them.

"do you wanna go to sleep?" jungkook asks causing taehyung to shake his head fast.

jungkook could sense something was wrong, he placed taehyung's things on the coffee table and sat next to him.

"bub you look so tired, why arent you wanting to go to sleep" jungkook asks noticing a tear roll down his face

"babe whats wrong, hey hey look at me" jungkook says placing his hand over taehyung's

"w-when you v-visited me that night I slept so w-well and when you left I t-thought I would be fine but I slept and w-woke up after I h-had a nightmare and for that whole w-week I never slept because I h-have been so s-scared to h-have another nightmare" taehyung said letting the tears fall.

"oh bub" jungkook says as he gets up and quickly shuts the curtains and grabs a warm blanket, he tells taehyung to stand up as he does so. jungkook lays down on the couch and spreads his arms- taehyung wipes his tears and smiles and he climbs on top of jungkook and lays on him.

 jungkook places a warm blanket over them, as he feels taehyung's head on his chest. jungkook smiles and pecks taehyung's forehead. he reaches and grabs the remote and turns the tv on.

"ill be watching tv, you go to sleep, I will be awake and here whenever you need" jungkook says as he feels taehyung soft breaths on his neck indicating he fell asleep already.

jungkook smiles and for the first time, he felt content he had taehyung in his arms. 

jungkook looked at the time to see it was morning, he looked at taehyung who was still asleep. taehyung ended up sleeping all day and night and jungkook ended up falling asleep.

jungkook decided that he needed to get food in taehyung stomach, so he shook taehyung's shoulders a little and watched as taehyung's eyes opened.

"morning tae" he whispers watching taehyung's head tilt up

"its morning?" he asks

"yeah you slept for awhile" he say's as taehyung gets up from jungkook's chest and sits on the couch.

"did you get to sleep?" taehyung asked looking at jungkook slightly worried

"yeah I did" jungkook smiled as he stands up

"lets make you breakfast" jungkook says as he gently grabs taehyung's hand and leads him towards the kitchen.

he helps taehyung sit on a tall seat, before he goes to the bench and grabs the basket, spinning it around to show taehyung who smiles at jungkook.

"whats this" he asks 

"my parents got this for you" jungkook says watching taehyung's eyes widen.

"really?!" taehyung says

"this is amazing" he says looking through all the things.

"please tell them I said thank you" taehyung says to jungkook who nods

"by chance was anything saved from the fire" taehyung asked looking at jungkook

the taller male was a little surprised that taehyung mentioned the fire, he was glad that he did cause he didnt want taehyung to keep his thoughts in.

"your laptop and work things are in your car, but I made sure to save one thing and I left it in the spare room for you" jungkook says putting some bread in the toaster

"I will show you after breakfast" jungkook says

"arent you working today?" taehyung asked drumming his fingers against the bench

"yes, but im starting late- are you okay to be here on your own" jungkook asked grabbing the toast and putting it on a plate.

watching as taehyung did his spreads and hummed

"yeah thats fine" he says

"hey about the other day-" jungkook starts but gets cut off by taehyung

"its okay gguk I understand" he says 

"wait you do?" jungkook asks

"yeah, I didnt think you would like me in that way, so im not suprised that im just a flin-" taehyung says but gets cut off by lips being placed on his.

taehyung was a little shocked at the kiss but smiled into it anyways as he kissed back before jungkook pulled away.

"I didnt mean that at all, im so sorry you had to hear that- I was stressed and tired and wasnt in the right mind. I promise when you get better I will tell you everything" jungkook says as taehyung blushes and takes and bite out of his toast.

jungkook smiles pecking his cheek before rushing upstairs and coming back down soon after.

"oh my god" taehyung said seeing the plushy jungkook won him in his hands

"is this the thing you made sure you saved" taehyung asked smiling as jungkook passed it to him.

"yes it is, I washed it as well so it smells nice and isnt dirty- was ther something else I should have-" 

"NO. not at all this is what I was hoping you saved- thank you gguk" taehyung says as jungkook nods smiling.

"i know that bed was important to you as well-" jungkook said feeling bad he could not save that either.

"no its okay, its dangerous to keep a bed from a fire. especially with all the smoke that was in the room." 

"thats what the officers at the fire department said when i talked to them about it" jungkook sighed.

"that still means a lot that you even thought about saving it" taehyung replied.

"I have to get ready for work but before I go I will make sure your work stuff is in my office room if you wanna do work from here" jungkook says before rushing off to get changed and running outside to get taehyung's things from the males car.

jungkook walked back upstairs to his office placing everything down, before running back down the stairs- taehyung watched him run back and forward and found it cute whenever jungkook would pout when he could not find something.

"bye tae" jungkook said pecking taehyung's check before rushing to his car.

taehyung loved seeing jungkook in his chief uniform.

taehyung thought before finishing his breakfast.
