he had just finished a report that needed to be put in a box in the front of the department, taehyung was walking through the halls and walked to the front desk handing them the report when officers were running towards the door.

he saw jungkook rush towards the desk and grabbed the keys

"taehyung" jungkook calls out and taehyung nods following him outside the door.

most people knew they were are a thing but it is appropriate to call your workers by their names or office names around others.

jungkook and taehyung quickly hop into a police car and drive off, taehyung does not have any equipment besides a gun.

"what is the call?" taehyung asked jungkook as he turned on the lights.

"apparently another murder, their neighbour had smelt something and went over there to see the door was open and walked in and saw a couple on the ground dead" jungkook say's as he follows other officers to the scene.

"that is horrible" taehyung said

"I know, you wont need to use your gun so just put it in the box" jungkook said as taehyung nodded

they pulled into the street and parked on the side walk where the yellow tape was, they parked the car and hopped out. jungkook showed his badge to the officer and was let in through the tape.

they walked towards two chiefs that were standing by the door.

"mr.jeon" they bowed and so did jungkook and taehyung as they reached them

"none of us have gone in yet, we waited for you. the neighbor is sitting on the porch there so after we investigate inside one officer will talk to her" the chief said causing jungkook to nod.

"lets go on" jungkook calls out to the chiefs and a few officers who will be taking evidence and pictures of the scene

they open the door slightly more and taehyung covered his mouth

"oh my god" he said

jungkook spun around to look at him in worry

"if the smell is really bad for you, you can wait outside bub" jungkook whispered but taehyung smiled and shook his head

"i will be fine" he said causing jungkook to nod and walk towards the lounge where the two body's were. taehyung saw the blood everywhere and pillows chucked places.

he heard the camera's going off and everyone started to look for evidence, there were a few calls for jungkook and they bagged a few items. taehyung was the type of person who looked at everything in detail.

he heard shouts from officers and taehyung followed the noise down the hall way to see all the officers in one room, taehyung saw jungkook with the other officers in the room and walked in.

he heard little whines and squeezed past a few officers to see a little dog in the corner with blood on the dogs fur and was wet for some reason.

the dog was shivering and whimpering, an officer walked up to it when it started shaking more and barking a little.

"what are you doing!" taehyung says and tells the officer to step back

"who are you to tell me to step ba-" the officer says pissed off

"he said to step back so step back" jungkook growls out and the officer nods knowing he has to listen to jungkook.

jungkook turned to taehyung trusting his intentions, taehyung takes his soft coat off and sat down on the floor folding his legs and placing his coat on his legs.

"hi baby" taehyung calls out placing his hand forward watching as the shaking puppy sniffed his hand and slowly got up, shakingly walking to taehyung who smiled

"thats it baby, you're save" taehyung said noticing how skinny the dog was and how there were some parts of his body where fur was missing.

"there you go" taehyung say's as the puppy walks onto his lap on the fluffy coat and lays down on it.

taehyung placed the soft coat around the shaking puppy and stood up, the puppy hid himself away when everyone was looking at him, taehyung noticed and hid the puppies face closer to himself so the only thing the puppy could see was taehyung's neck.

"im guessing the owner of the dog are the victims" a officer said

"looks like they did pretty shit care of taking care of him" one office said as the other nodded.

taehyung walks out of the room making sure to go somewhere quiet for the puppy as he looks around trying to find some evidence. he turned around when he felt hands on his waist.

"you're going to be so cold babe" jungkook says

"it is okay" taehyung said

"you were amazing" jungkook says pecking taehyung's forehead

"thank you for sticking up for me" taehyung said

"always will" jungkook said

"what will we do about the puppy" taehyung asked pouting

"let me go ask the other officers and see what they think" jungkook says as taehyung follows him out of the room and outside to see the neighbor talking to the other two chiefs.

"chief" jungkook called out as they looked towards him

"ah nelly this is a highly recommended chief officer jeon jungkook" the chief said as jungkook shook her hand.

"oh you found the dog thank god i thought something happened to him" she said placing her hand on her heart.

"do you know much about the victims or the dog, any other family members that could take care of the dog?" one of the chiefs ask.

"no they treated that dog so bad, I never understood why they got him in the first place" she says

"were you close with the victims?" jungkook asked

"no just neighbors and sometimes we have get togethers and we have a few of them a year, she and her husband were weird people"

"they dont have family, and were wanting kids but got killed before they could have any- they got a dog and they treated the puppy so poorly"

"they kept him outside during winter and summer during the nights and days- when they went away they never organised someone to feed him or give him a bath or water"

"my husband and I always saw the couple yelling at the puppy, kicking him and cutting his fur- the dog was always shaking around them and was always cold" she said looking at the puppy that was asleep in taehyung's warm arms.

"we also sometimes noticed the dog will be laying in the rain on the floor shivering and we would walk over and give him and blanket and in the morning we would walk out to see the owners had taken of the blanket and threw it in the bin" she said wiping a tear.

taehyung wiped his tears with his spare hand jungkook turned to see taehyung had tears running down his face, he moved to his boyfriend and rubbed his waist.

"do you know the dogs name?" jungkook asked

"no they never gave him a name they either called the dog "bitch, dog, mut, rat, he," she comments

"what are we going to do about the dog?" the officer asks

"he came from a shelter so we can send him back there?" an officer said

"no! we will not be sending him back to a shelter" taehyung said jungkook agreeing

"where will he go then?" the officer said

"he will stay with me" taehyung said causing the officers to look at him.

"are you sure?" the officers say

"yes I am sure, I would rather him come with me knowing he is safe and getting the love he deserves and needs then him going somewhere he could ge treated the same or worse" taehyung said

"thank you so much officer kim, it is going to be nice knowing he is safe" nelly says

"we will take this case chief jeon and officer kim, thank you so much for your assistant" the officer says shaking both of their hands and they walk out.

"alright boys, we are done here!" jungkook yells as his officers nods and everyone walks to their car.

jungkook opens the car door for taehyung then goes to the driver seats.

"what are you going to do?" jungkook asks

"I will probably go grab my car from work and my laptop stuff, then go to the shops to get some stuff for him" taehyung said

"is he still asleep?" taehyung asks pulling away a bit for jungkook to look

"yeah he is" jungkook says

"do you think i did the right thing?" taehyung asked looking at jungkook who leans closer

"yes, yes- if I wasn't in love with you before I defiently am now" jungkook whispers and smiles when he felt taehyung's lips on his.

it was short but filled with love.

"s-so thankful to have you ggukie" taehyung stutters

"I am so thankful to have you too, lets go back to work and I will come with you to shopping" jungkook says

"no no, i cant get you to take more time off work, i will sort this" taehyung says but jungkook shakes his head

"no we are in this together and we will both look after him together, he needs loving parents and that is what we will give him" jungkook said causing taehyung to tear up

"I-i l-love you s-so much ggukie" taehyung said as tears streamed down his face

jungkook's eyes widen his heart race sped up as he heard those three words for the first time, he had dreamed of receiving those words from someone he loved. he himself never said it and his past relationship never had that love.

"I l-love you too baby" jungkook said pecking taehyung's lips and wiped his tears.

jungkook pecked his lips again before starting the car and driving off.

they were now at a shop that was filled with house things, they had driven back to work and jungkook went to taehyung's office to grab his things while to notify the boss what was happening and the boss was fine with it.

jungkook was going to go back to work after shopping and drop taehyung off at his car.

they had walked into the shop and lucky for them they were allowed pets, jungkook grabbed a shopping cart while taehyung looked at the sleeping dog and slowly put him in one of the seats that were meant for a baby.

he was staring at the dog for a few minutes hopping that he would not wake up because he had a feeling that the puppy is super scared of people.

"is he still asleep?" jungkook asks

"yes he is" taehyung says as he starts to slowly push the cart, they walk to the pet aisle and go down it.

"what is here" jungkook hums as he looks at the shelfs.

"do we just chuck what we think he would need?" jungkook asked and received a nod from taehyung.

"we should get these dog blankets" jungkook said feeling the fabric

taehyung places his hand on the blanket and smiles "yes that is super soft maybe get one blue, one black and one grey" taehyung said looking at the options as jungkook grabs the folded colour blankets and put them in the corner of the cart.

"we need to get him a few beds" taehyung said

"he can sleep on my bed but if he ever wants to have his own" he continues causing jungkook to nod and look at the other side to see beds

"they are here" jungkook points to them

"do we get big or small?" jungkook asks

"maybe get one medium size and one big" taehyung said

"colour?" jungkook asked

"black and purple" he replied as jungkook nodded and grabbed the both putting it inside the trolley.

they walked more down and saw brushes and bath stuff.

taehyung walked closer and grabbed two dog brushes and some dog wash

"look at these little towel's" jungkook said showing taehyung one

"ooo put that in" taehyung said as jungkook did so

they walked to the next aisle and saw it was a food section.

"i am not sure how much this dog will eat so we will grab a lot" taehyung said

"okay let me go grab another trolley" jungkook said as he ran out of the aisle and went to go get another cart.

quickly he was back with another cart that had heaps of room.

"okay we will put all the food bags in yours" taehyung said as they looked around to see millions of food bags but werent sure on what to get.

"hello, is everything alright?" a worker asked them

"we had just got a dog who was badly abused and was never really fed so he is super skinny and we were not sure on what food to get" jungkook said as the lady nodded

"is a great thing to get a lot of different type's so" she says walking down the aisle

"do you mind if i grab the ones i think are the best and put it in the trolley" she says

"yes of cour-" taehyung says but gets cut off

"how do we know that you arent just trying to get us to spend heaps of money and maybe posion our puppy" jungkook says coldly

"gguk" taehyung said

"not it is okay i understand" the worker says as she pulls out her phone and clicks a few things before showing them a picture

"on the left that is what my dog looked like when we found him and the right pic is what he looks like now" she says as taehyung and jungkook both look

"oh my" taehyung mutters

"he looks amazing now" he says

"i thought and felt the same as you guys do now and I have experienced what you guys are currently going through so trust me when i say i know what you guys need for food" she says

"of course im so sorr-" taehyung starts but stops when he sees her shaking her head

"no dont say sorry im super glad your boyfriend brung it up because some people are really like that" she says as she picks a bag of dog biscuts and places them in the spare cart.

"grab those red tin cans that has a dog on it, you guys pick how much" she says

jungkook looks at taehyung who smiles and says to get 4

taehyung watches the worker grab a few more bags of biscuits and a bag of dog bones and put it in the cart.

"thank you so much" taehyung said

"it is fine, thank you for being an another amazing human who is taking in a hurt pup- have a great day guys" she says waving and leaves

jungkook walks back with a dog bowel that had one bowl for water and one for food.

"what next?" jungkook asks

"lets get him some toys" taehyung says as they walk down a few aisles until they found dog toys

jungkook grabbed a few squeaky ones and few of those rope ones and threw it into the trolley

taehyung gabbed a few toys as well and a pretty box to put them all in once his puppy was done playing.

"what else?" taehyung thought

"well it is winter and dogs will get cold so?" jungkook said

"should we get a few pillows" jungkook continued

"there are pillows for dogs?" taehyung questions and he follows jungkook who was walking towards a section with his cart.

"here" jungkook said pointing to the pillows for dogs

"they're so cute" taehyung said

taehyung looked through them a decided to grab and few and placed it in the cart.

"is there any mats for houses for inside" jungkook asked

"why is that"

"well cause the floor must be cold during the winter in the lounge so maybe we could place a soft mat for the dog under his bed so he is warm" jungkook said

"that is a great idea" taehyung said as they rushed off to grab the things

after awhile they finally finished shopping and grabbed a few extra things like a dog leash just in case taehyung wants to take the dog for a walk.

they scanned the things and put the stuff in bags and paid for it and walked to jungkook's car placing all the bags in the car.

"you grab the puppy while i take this back" jungkook said to taehyung who nods and slowly grabs the puppy trying to make sure it does not wake up.

taehyung was surprised of how well the puppy is sleeping, maybe cause he never got much sleep or was always cold when asleep.

taehyung shut the boot and walked to the passenger door and shut it once he got in and waited for jungkook to come back.

once jungkook came back he started driving but not back to work

"where are we going? work is that way" taehyung said pointing

"I will help you bring the things in and set stuff up, I could not let you do that all by yourself- and if you're worried about your car then dont cause after i have helped you I will probably get jimin or something to drive it to yours and yoongi will follow him and so will i" jungkook said

"that sounds like such a hassle are you sure?" taehyung questions

"yes i have already organised it and they wanna meet the puppy and see you so" jungkook says as taehyung nods.
