they were now back at work, jungkook dropped taehyung off at home after the carnival and then went home himself. everyone was back at work it was a monday, their busiest day of the week. they had a meeting in about 5 minutes and taehyung was a little early.

he sat there going through some files as he waited for people to join him, normally jungkook and sir turn up last so he was just waiting for co-workers.

taehyung looked over to the window where you could see the inmates playing on the court. taehyung could only imagine what it would feel like to be an inmate but he knows not everyone is guilty.

he knows that in other country the system is corrupt but he is thankful he is working in a place that is not.

he hears the door open and looks at the officers who are now walking in, taehyung greets some of them and see's his friends walk in and smiles waving. they wave back and sit next to him.

sir and jungkook walk in and to say taehyung's heart didn't stop when he saw jungkook would be a lie, he could not stress enough how attractive he looked in his uniform.

"good morning everyone, today is a busy day with new cases and schedules" sir says

"jacks trial was on Saturday and he was found guilty" sir says as taehyung smiles very thankful

"officer will be on patrol so Chief jeon's team will be on the patrol for the first half and then you will go on cases" sir says reading from a list

"you're all dismissed" he said after going through more of the list

once everyone went out of the meeting room jungkook's team was in a line including taehyung.

"you all know how this goes, taehyung please stay here while everyone goes" jungkook says nodding for the boys to go off.

jungkook dragged taehyung to a quiet hallway

"I know you're scared to be in there but if you press the side of your belt the button will buzz my watch and your watch will beep so I can find you if anything happens" jungkook says 

taehyung nods smiling, letting out a shaky breath.

jungkook leans in a softly pecks his lips

taehyung smiled at the warm feeling brining back memories from the other night, when they kissed in front of everyone no one even noticed and it felt like just him and jungkook against the world.

what taehyung and jungkook did not realize is someone did see them that night.

once jungkook pulled away he pecked taehyung's forehead and moved out of the hallway towards the doors that lead into the prison.

taehyung ran behind jungkook and they walked into the cafeteria.

"time to shower up A group" jungkook yelled out as they watched people stand up and head towards the showers.

taehyung travelled towards the kitchen to see inmates cooking food.

"you got it in here kim" he heard an officer say as he nods and the other officer leaves the room.

taehyung watched everyone do their thing as he walked closer to see someone struggling to peel potato's.

"hey do you need help" taehyung asked as the guy looked at him and nodded

taehyung gently grabbed the items off the inmate 

"sometimes its easier to wet the potato first and then peel from up to down" taehyung says demonstrating.

"thank you" the guy says when taehyung places the things in his hand and watches the boy do it

"whats your name?" taehyung asked

"harry" he says 

"you look very young, how old are you?" taehyung asks 

"17" he mumbles

taehyung trys his best to hide how shocked he is at the age and hums

"are you a new officer?" harry asks looking up at him

"yeah started only a couple of weeks ago" taehyung says

"oh are you the officer who go hurt in here?" harry says going back to peeling the potatoes when he heard a yes from taehyung 

"you didn't deserve that, they guys in here a childish and selfish" harry mumbles putting the peeled potato in a bowl.

"why are you on here kid?" taehyung asked leaning against the bench.

"I got framed for stealing when It wasnt me it was a friend, but no one believed me" he mumbles 

"how long are you in here for?" taehyung asks

"another 5 years" 

the new officer could tell that harry was upset about this and who wouldnt be.

"do you stay with the other inmates?" taehyung asked

"yeah my roomates are really scary" he mumbles

"how long have you been in here?" taehyung asks 

"for 3 years so far, I will be 22 when I leave" harry says

"officer kim, switch now" a officer says to taehyung who nods

"it was nice meeting you officer kim" harry smiles sadly and walks towards a bench to wash the other potatoes

taehyung smiles sadly and walks out of the kitchen and down a hall

"officer!" he hears an inmate yell as he quickly rushes towards the shower room

"whats wrong" taehyung says

"big boy here hurt his ankle" a inmate said as taehyung turned to the injured male to be met with a naked jack who was sitting on the ground holding his ankle

taehyung ignored all the naked men standing around him and walked towards jack who looked to be in pain.

"how bad is the pain" taehyung asks not noticing the men circling around him and a smirking jack

"you're so gullible kim" jack says standing up and pushes taehyung to one of the men who grabs his arms 

"l-let me go" taehyung shoves his hands but the grip was tight

"you know it is your fault im in here and I have men on the outside who will hurt you" jack says as he felt his officer shirt get ripped off

"d-dont touch me" taehyung mumbled as he tried to cover his upper body.

one of the men pushed taehyung against the wall and turned the shower on

"touch him as much as you want boys" jack says leaving the room with a towel wrapped around his waist 

"n-no" taehyung mumbled as he watched the men get closer and start to touch him.

taehyung reaches down to the belt and presses the button which went unnoticed by the inmates.

"s-stop" taehyung cried out when he felt someone unzip his pants

but soon enough he felt all the inmates being removed from him and the shower been turned off.

taehyung shakily looked foward to see jungkook standing in front of him but facing the inmates.

"WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT TOUCHING HIM" jungkook yelled loudly he was livid that they did this to taehyung and he was sick of these inmates hurting him.

other officers were holding the inmates down.

"Kai write down the names of these men and we will go from there" jungkook says wrapping his arm around taehyung body and leading him out of the room.

they walked past the inmates, luckily no one noticing them and walked into the locker room that was empty.

jungkook embraced the shaky taehyung 

"let it out bub" jungkook says as he hears taehyung sob

"im so so sorry" jungkook says

 "they will be punished" jungkook says rubbing his hand over taehyung's back

"I s-still f-feel their h-hands" taehyung stutter which causes jungkook to stop

"n-no keep doing it please, y-your touch m-makes me c-calm" taehyung stutters

jungkook nods placing his hand back.

he felt taehyung shiver and he pulled away slightly

"c-can still feel their h-hands get t-them off" taehyung cried out

"hey hey bub, do you wanna shower?" jungkook asked as taehyung nodded his head fast.

jungkook went to his own locker and grabbed some spare clothes out, he grabbed taehyungs hand after shutting the locker and walked towards a door, he grabbed the keys from his belt and unlocked it.

once he pushed the door open there was a private shower room for anyone who was uncomftable

"d-does everyone have access to t-this room?" taehyung asks

"no only me and sir, but if you ever wanna shower in here let me know" jungkook says as he walks in between two walls and turns the shower on.

he waits for it to get hot before taking his hand away from the water and moving aside

"I will wait outsid-" jungkook starts and reaches the door but a hand stops him

"p-please dont l-leave" taehyung said well tears streamed down his face clearly not wanting to be alone

"s-shower with me p-please" taehyung said clearly panicking

"hey hey I wont leave you, let me grab some clothes for myself" jungkook says as he quickly left and came back shutting and locking the door behind him.

"how do you wanna do this?" jungkook asked creasing taehyung's cheek

"do you wanna keep underwear on?" jungkook asked as taehyung nodded

jungkook kissed his forehead and nodded

jungkook placed the spare clothes on the bench and started to take of his clothes, taehyung followed along throwing his pants on the floor as they were wet, he wrapped his arms around himself shivering from the cold.

jungkook turned around to see taehyung shivering in his underwear, if taehyung was not upset and venruble jungkook knew he would so check out the male but his priority was to make sure taehyung was safe, comfortable, and with him.

jungkook walked over to taehyung placing a hand on his back and lightly pushed him towards the shower. jungkook was thankful that the water pressure was good and they had heaps of hot water that covered them both.

taehyung was facing jungkook and smiled slightly

jungkook wiped taehyung tears and whispered

"you're safe with me" jungkook says wrapping his arms around taehyung who laid his head on jungkook's shoulders and closed his eyes.

jungkook walked a little closer to the shower so the water hit them both, taehyung had stopped shaking and was only sniffling.

he was definitely annoyed with himself that he again did not train taehyung before he went in there, he was so focused on taehyung becoming a detective that he completely forgot about training. 

every police officer needs help no matter what, you wont always be able to fight them off but its good to know simple skills that they should have already taught taehyung.

he didnt trust any other officer with taehyung, he wasn't scared of the inmates at all.

jungkook grabbed the bottle of body wash and put some in his hand rubbing it all over taehyung's shoulders.

"you're so beautiful taehyung" jungkook pecks his neck as he washes taehyung's back.

"this feels nice" taehyung lifts his head up and looks at jungkook whos eyes widen

"w-whats wrong" taehyung stutters

"bub you look so pale" jungkook says 

"lets hop out" jungkook says and hands taehyung a towel, they both dry themselves and start to get changed.

they both didnt once look at each other as they were getting changed, jungkook had finished first and grabbed his keys 

"im finished" taehyung says as jungkook turns around to see taehyung in his other work clothes.

"lets take you home" jungkook says and opens the door as they both step out.

"meet me in my car I just need to go talk to sir" jungkook said passing taehyung the keys who smiles slightly and nods.

jungkook walks outside the locker room and walks down the hall to see sir's door wide open.

he walks in and sir smiles

"take a seat jungkook" he says

Authors note: does anyone else ever feel like that they are losing their bestfriend and what was there just isnt anymore, like they seem to care/appreciate other people more then their bestfriend. and it f****** hurts.

22/4/22- update with the bestfriend thing lol. so i contacted her  and we decided to hang out to sort things out and we did. but not even a few weeks later she started to act the same and similar issues came up. 

she started treating her other two closest friends more like a bestfriend than what she does me. 

my nana passed away in feb of this year and we bought a house where she lives to live closer to her as before; we lived 6 hours away from her. so I decided to leave uni to be closer to her and she passed away 4 weeks before we moved down. i was so incredibly close to my nana and she was the only grandparents i had that really generally loved and cared about me. 

she was basically like another mother.

my bestfriend knew how much i was struggling but i never heard from her, weeks would go by and she would post on insta and be with friends living her life and she would only contact me when things were happening in her life. ive had to go through my hardest and darkest times without her cause she was never there. 

and never cared. it was always about her and it has truly changed my view on her. we had been bestfriends for about 9 years and i always made sure i was there for her and did everything to make sure she was okay and felt like she had support around her. 

i have learnt my lesson and i dont contact her anymore. she messaged me the other day about how her close friends arent talking to her. so she contacts me saying everyone hates her causes she is back with her ex who hurt her and i was really upset that she only messaged me because of that when it the past few weeks i had no even heard from her. 

there is a lot more to the story but i just want everyone to know that it is okay to move away from a long friendship. not matter if you have been friends for years or weeks, if they make you feel low and worthless cut them off.
