taehyung had the best day with his parents a couple of days ago. they spent the day visiting places around the cafe and the parks. taking heaps of pictures and sending them to jimin, jungkook and yoongi. he was sad that the holiday had to come to an end, he had really enjoyed the time there.

the children had heaps of fun and taehyung got to have some one on one time with his parents, which he enjoyed. they were currently back at work, the daycare was shut today so ari offered to look after the children. 

taehyung loved the idea, he always felt bad that it was always on jungkook's mother to but he likes now that his mum gets some one on one time with the children. jungkook and taehyung had talked about this when they were on their way to work. 

only to find out that jungkook's mother is at ari's house having a cup of tea while they both look after the kids. the married couple found it hilarious, but loved that both sides of their families got along.

"detective kim?" taehyung had heard someone say from the officer door, he looked up to see acacia with files in her hands.

"come in" he said smiling. 

"these files were on the front desk for you, I was told to hand these in to you" she said handing him the files. 

"thank you" taehyung replied, opening the files when she left to say it was the lexi case. he smiled when he read the note inside it from the parents, thanking him for returning her home. 

"ayeeee yooooo" taehyung nearly jumped out of his seat when yoongi walked in shouting. 

"why do you always scare me" the brunette said placing his hand on his chest, trying to get gain his breathing back to steady pace.

yoongi chuckled shutting the door behind him and walked towards the couch, jumping on the couch. "I was thinking!" yoongi said causing taehyung to roll his eyes. "oh no" taehyung chuckled at the thought.

"dont be a bitch" yoongi said chucking a pillow at him. 

the brunette laughed and chucked the pillow back. "what is the thought?". 

"so, it has been awhile since we did a bbq? I think it would be nice to get us all together!" yoongi said. 

"that is not a bad idea, who were you thinking?" 

"just our group, jimin's parents, your parents, jungkook's parents? the kids?" yoongi suggested.

"I really love that idea" taehyung replied.

"I will talk to jungkook when I see him, I will text the group chat!" 

"sounds good, see you" yoongi said before walking out the office.

"hmm, a family bbq. what a great idea" the brunette whispers.

jungkook was in his office making sure all his papers we ready and everything was sorted. he always fell behind in paper work, even though he always thought he was ahead. "chief jeon?" an officer said walking into his office. 

"there is someone in block b who is requesting to see detective kim, I was with another officer. he just let detective kim know but I thought I would let you also know. felt something off with it" the officer said.

"thank you for letting me know" jungkook nodded, quickly walking out the office following the officer to block b. 

the chief swiped his card to open the door. he heard shouts in the cafeteria and people banging the table, jungkook and a few officers that were with him- ran towards the cafeteria. 

only to see prisoners attacking officers, jungkook pressed the button behind one of the doors that were out of prisoners reach. he ran back in to see a lot of officers rushing towards prisoners trying to pull them back. jungkook's eyes widened when he saw a prisoner throw taehyung to the ground. 

he was about to step in when he realised that taehyung knew how to defend himself, once he saw taehyung kick his knee- causing the prisoner to curse, falling onto the ground. he watched taehyung quickly cuff him. 

just like that the cafeteria was silent. 

"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT ABOUT" jungkook yelled, causing some of them to flinch. 

"I am highly disappointed in this block, you all had been doing so well. get to your cells" jungkook muttered nodding at all the officers to push the inmates into their cells. 

once the cafeteria was empty. jungkook jogged to taehyung who turned to look at him when he heard footsteps running towards him. 

"you okay babe?" jungkook asked bringing the male into a hug.

"yeah, looks like that defence course did something huh" taehyung chuckled. 

"proud of you" the chief whispered pecking the males forehead.

"how did this even start?" taehyung shrugged at the question.

"I had no idea, I had a officer come get me cause a inmate wanted to talk to me and when I was talking to him we both suddenly heard shouts and loud noises from the cafeteria so he stayed in his cell while I came out with the other officers"

just as jungkook was about to say something an officer walked up to them. "chief, we found out the whole argument was because an inmate stole someones bread off their plate and they have been pulling pranks on each other all week and it got out of control" 

"that is the weirdest one I have heard" jungkook replied thanking the officer who nodded and left. 

"I wanna go home" jungkook sighed feeling tired. 

"oh about that, yoongi came to me and asked about doing a family barbecue. so us, the group, parents and the children?" taehyung questioned. 

"that sounds great, maybe not today thought but maybe saturday?" taehyung nodded. "I will go send the others a text to let them know, love you" 

"love you more" jungkook replied watching taehyung rush off.
