Lan Wangji was busy with his work when his cousins–Hua Cheng and Luo Binghe–came into his office and sat on his very comfortable couch.

"Let's go for lunch. I'm so fucking hungry." Luo Binghe fell face down on the couch, whining, while Hua Cheng sat on the other couch.

"He's been like that ever since he fell for that handsome chef on Purgatory. I think he must be some kind of a masochist since the chef literally threw him out of the premises." Hua Cheng chuckled remembering the last time they went out to dine in Purgatory, with the special live fire cooking by the head chef, Shen Qingqiu. He was a beautiful man with long hair and a beautiful face, but a very snarky attitude, and it caused Luo Binghe to fall in love at first glance. Their cousin asked him out right there and then but he was rejected. And when he kept coming and bringing flowers and chocolates and tried to kiss him out of desperation, Shen Qingqiu threw him out of the restaurant.

That man might look skinny and all, but he was strong as a bull to be able to throw Luo Binghe–the biggest of the three of them–out with one hand and kick his ass. He didn't give a shit about who Luo Binghe was–the famous mixed martial art actor who often appeared on TV and movies–and it added to his charm.

"Stop saying that." Luo Binghe mumbled into the pillow. "I really like him, you know, and I never liked anyone before." Now he's pouting and Hua Cheng chuckled.

"Jesus, Binghe, you look like a five years old if you keep behaving like that. Why don't you go easy on the poor chef?"

"Yeah, bro, if I was him, I would throw you out too when you tried to kiss him. Really rude." Lan Wangji rolled his eyes. "Go slow, like real slow. Sometimes people still find it hard to accept the love of those of the same gender."

"You mean like you? Dude, the love of your life lived next door to you for almost a year and you made no move toward him. I don't know if I could do it, being a stalker like you." Luo Binghe groaned loudly while Hua Cheng laughed this time.

"Not everyone is as open minded as us, little bro. It would take some time to convince those men to agree to date us, especially in this country, you know?" Lan Wangji answered calmly. He knew how impatient Luo Binghe was, unlike him, who calmly stalked and cornered his prey, until the only thing they could do was surrender fully to him.

Oh he knew that his pretty little neighbour was also stalking him with his binoculars every single day. He found out accidentally when the glint of the lenses caught his eyes when he was slathering sunscreen on his body. That was one of the reasons why he kept going out to surf topless, and jog if the weather did not permit him to surf. To let his neighbour see the goods before tasting it.

Lan Wangji grinned in satisfaction. He knew that he looked really good, and he was confident that sooner or later, there would be a chance for them to get more… acquainted. Or if he must, he would create the opportunity. He preferred to get his hands on the handsome chef sooner rather than later.

The three of them had a lot of experience with both genders, but never to this extent. Even Hua Cheng, who usually never batted an eye to his conquests, now was attracted to Lan Wangji's editor-in-chief, the calm and level-headed Xie Lian.

They met when there was a crisis in the company caused by the previous editor-in-chief, and while Lan Wangji could handle some of them, no one else was capable of doing what Xie Lian did–which was using his head and not panicking over stuff. That was one of the reasons why he put the man as the replacement editor-in-chief even though he was still young. It was two years ago, and up until now, Lan Wangji was very satisfied with Xie Lian's work.

He also met Wei Wuxian through Xie Lian, although he'd bet that the man would probably have already forgotten about it, knowing his clumsy personality. It was such an innocent first meeting, really, with him standing up behind the man to wait for his tea order. He didn't even know that the person in front of him was a man since he had long, silky dark hair.

The man turned around so suddenly and bumped into him–dropping his coffee into Lan Wangji's pristine white clothes, and his snacks on the floor. He apologized profusely and offered to pay for his laundry, but Lan Wangji was mesmerized by the beautiful face and the silver eyes, he forgot his name for a second there. Instead of letting the man–Wei Wuxian–pay for his laundry, he apologized for standing too close to him and offered to buy him another cup of coffee, which he also declined with a blushing face. The man apologized once again but he really had to go because he was late for an apartment viewing, and later Lan Wangji found out that the man was Xie Lian's friend–who was looking for a quiet place to live and to write. He offered his next door condo–which was not for sale since he hated strangers–and the rest was history.

"Tell you what." Lan Wangji suddenly stood up, making both his cousins surprised. "Let's go for lunch at Purgatory. My treat." He knew that Xie Lian always went there for lunch or if he was unable to, someone would deliver to his office.

He happened to know that today Wei Wuxian was also here in Xie Lian's office–probably asking him for advice about his book. He was curious about what kind of a book that the celebrity chef would want to write in seclusion for a year. His cookbook probably.

Lan Wangji would make sure that he had the best promotion and coverage for his upcoming book as he was sure Xie Lian would do too.

"That's sus. Do you know something that we don't?" Hua Cheng grinned. He was always sharp to catch on, unlike Luo Binghe who was still planted face down on the couch.

"I just hope that we would meet certain people there, after all, it's their hangout place."

It was time to put the plan to seduce the pretty neighbour slash chef slash author in motion.
