TWENTY SIX — a keeper

           THE RAIN WAS GONE AND THE SUN WAS BACK. the sun was bright and shining through bella's window, making her room bright. johnny opened his eyes and turned to the side to find bella fast asleep. he smiled as he held her bare body close to his as he placed soft kisses on her neck, going down to her shoulder and arms. bella softly groaned as she opened her eyes and softly yawned. she turned to find her boyfriend's striking blue eyes looking at her.

"hey." bella smiled as she pressed her forehead onto his. "good morning."

"hi." johnny said with his groggy morning voice. "morning beautiful."

"it stopped raining." bella laughed as she caressed his cheek and then went down to caress his arms. "mhm, how's your bod?"

"after last night, so fucking good." johnny laughed as he cupped bella's face in his hands and passionately kissed her. "i had fun, by the way."

"of course you did." bella laughed as she placed her hands on his chest. "you were great, by the way. it felt so good."

"are you sure i didn't hurt you?" johnny said as he rubbed his eyes and yawned. "i feel like i went too rough on you."

"it was perfect." bella sighed as she ran her fingers through his biceps. she leaned in to kiss him as he roughly gripped her waist. "and even if it were to hurt, pleasure is pain."

"has anyone ever told you how perfect you are?" johnny smirked as he rolled onto bella's bare body and softly placed kissed her neck.

"hm, you. all last night." bella smiled as she held the blonde in her arms. bella held johnny close to her body as there was a few minutes of silence between the couple. "i should get up and make breakfast. you hungry?"

"i'm always hungry after sex." johnny smirked as he laid back down on the bed and looked at bella as she dressed herself. "i love you."

"i love you too." bella smiled as she sat back on her bed and pecked johnny's lips as he sat up and got dressed as well. as he got up and got dressed, johnny picked bella up bridal style and headed downstairs to the kitchen to make breakfast.

bella stared in awe as the couple arrived at johnny's house in encino. bella wasn't too familiar with encino even though she had visited chrissy and ali who lived around encino. since sid had left the house on business, johnny took it as an opportunity to introduce bella to his mom.

"to tell you the truth, i'm a little nervous." bella said as she ran a hand through her hair.

"she'll love you." johnny smiled as he gripped her hand and softly placed a kiss on the back of her palm. "i promise."

bella smiled as she got out of the car and sighed before intertwining her hand with johnny's as he guided her into his house. bella looked around as she admired the big luxurious house that was almost identical to hers.

"mom, i'm home." johnny smiled as he looked for his mom. bella softly smiled as she saw a beautiful blonde woman come downstairs.

"hey honey." laura smiled as her eyes landed on the brunette girl who her son had just brought in. "and i assume this beautiful girl is the bella."

"nice to meet you, ms. lawrence." bella smiled as laura pulled her into a hug.

"please, call me laura." laura smiled. "i'm so glad to finally meet you. johnny's been going on and on about how lovely you are."

"oh really?" bella smirked as she looked at her boyfriend who was nervously smiling as he admired his two favorite people talking. "i'm so glad to finally meet you as well."

"well, lunch is almost ready, if you'd like to stay and join us." laura smiled as she walked into the kitchen.

"of course." bella smiled as she followed johnny into the dining room. "is there anything i can help you with?"

"you're too sweet, bella." laura said as she headed into the kitchen to prepare lunch. "i've got it, but thank you so much."

"are you sure you got it, ma?" johnny said as he followed his mom to the kitchen to check if his mom needed help.

"it's fine honey." laura smiled as she began to finish up the meal. "thank you. you go sit with bella, i'll be out there in a few."

bella smiled as johnny pulled out a seat for her and sat down. "your mom is a literal angel. she's the sweetest." bella said as she took off her jacket and placed it on the back of her chair.

"i'm pretty sure she already loves you." johnny smiled as he held bella's hand as laura came into the dining room with plates and sat down to eat with her son and his girlfriend.

"so, you're lisa and matt's daughter right?" laura smiled as she began to eat. "from north hollywood?"

"yes." bella smiled. "they're currently away on vacation since they're celebrating their anniversary."

"that's sweet." laura smiled as she took a sip of her glass of wine. "so you're gonna graduate soon, what are you planning to do?"

"well, i applied to nyu in new york and if i get accepted, i'm planning on studying fashion design." bella smiled. "hopefully."

"and if she gets accepted, we're thinking of moving in together." johnny smiled as he looked over to his girlfriend, who was smiling. "whether she stays here or leaves to new york, we want to move in together."

"and that was his idea, not mine." bella smiled as she continued eating.

"i always tell johnny to do whatever's gonna make him happy and if it means leaving the valley and getting his own little place, then he should go for it." laura smiled as she looked at her son. "besides, i know he'll take care of you."

"i don't have a doubt that he will." bella smiled as she looked over at johnny, who smiled back at the brunette. "i trust him."

"i'll miss you tonight." bella smiled as she stood at the doorway of her house as johnny stood outside.

"i'll stay the night again." johnny said as he held bella's hand. "so you won't be alone and we can have some fun, like we did last night."

"as much as i'd love that, you should go home and be with your mom, since she's alone." bella smiled. "i'll be okay. i'll call you."

"alright princess. get some rest because i know you need it." johnny laughed as he placed his lips on bella's. "i love you babe."

"i love you too." bella smiled as she closed the door. "good night darling."

johnny got back into the car and drove back to encino. he turned up the volume on the radio as he took the highway home. he really wanted to stay with bella, but he knew that he also had to take care of his mom.

he finally arrived home and found his mom sitting on the couch, reading a book. "so she's the one?" laura smiled as she saw her son walk in. "she's pretty and she's sweet. now i see why you love her so much."

"she's everything, ma." johnny said as he sat down on the sofa next to his mother. "i really like her."

"please take care of her, johnny." laura said as she smiled softly. "she's a keeper. you two kids look so good together and whether you stay here or go to new york, take care of her."

"i will mom." johnny sighed as he stood up and headed to his room. "i always do."
