SIXTEEN — anything else?

BELLA PARKED HER CAR in her usual parking spot and grabbed her purse from the front seat. she sat in her car as she fixed her hair and applied a little bit of lipgloss. when she got out of her car, she heard the sound of motorcycles. she saw the four boys arrive, but there was no sign of her boyfriend. bella looked around to see if he was anywhere around, but no luck.

bella walked to her locker as she placed her books in there. she was about to close her locker when she felt someone wrap their arms around her waist and softly kiss her neck. she turned to find the blonde and placed a kiss on his lips.

"good morning to you too." bella smiled. "i thought you weren't coming to school, you know, because you were hungover or something?"

"and not see my beautiful girlfriend?" johnny smiled as he pulled her in for another kiss. "i'd come to school hungover, just to see you."

"aren't you the sweetest." bella smiled as she kissed him once again. she leaned back against her locker as she continued to kiss her boyfriend passionately. "you do know this is risky, right?"

"yeah i know." johnny sighed. "but there's no one around."

as if on cue, bobby happened to walk by, which caused johnny to let go of bella and move to the side, to make it seem like he was just talking to her. once bobby greeted them both and walked into his class, bella and johnny headed to english, but her walking ahead of him to make it less obvious.

she sat down in her seat and him behind her as students continued to walk into the class. as bella got her notebook out, johnny played with her hair and occasionally leaned over to whisper in her ear.

"i forgot to tell you how beautiful you look." johnny whispered as bella turned around, trying not to blush. during class, as she was taking notes, johnny would slip her notes, attempting to distract her. once she read the note, she would softly giggle and put it away before they got in trouble. he slipped her one last note, which read :

i don't feel like eating cafeteria food, let's go get lunch. don't worry, it's on me. meet me in the parking lot after chemistry.

bella smiled at the little note and sighed. she really didn't feel like going to the cafeteria today knowing that everybody would be interrogating both her and johnny. she took her pen and replied back, saying :

yes please. we could use a little bit of privacy without chrissy and the boys, questioning us. you could also buy me a cherry coke that you still owe me. ;)

johnny smiled at her response as he put the note in his pocket and pretended like he was writing notes to prevent getting bella in trouble. bella tapped her pen on her notebook as she waited impatiently to head to her next class.

"this is literally the best burger i've ever tasted." bella smiled as she set her burger down and dipped her french fries in ketchup. he had brought her to this little diner instead of just getting mcdonald's, like she had insisted.

"i can't believe you've never been here." johnny smiled as he took a sip of his coke. "now, tell me this isn't better than mcdonald's?"

"okay, fine, you win." bella smiled as she took another bite of her burger. "speaking of winning, the all-valley's coming up, how's that going?"

"it's alright. i'm a bit under pressure, defending the title can get intense." johnny said. "sensei has me on this pedestal and i can't disappoint him."

"you got yourself there." bella said. "you worked for it. i know that you busted you ass for that title and i know you can do it again."

"i just hope i get to see my favorite person, cheering me on." johnny smiled as he reached over and held bella's hand.

"you think we'll be public by then?" bella sighed as she intertwined her hand with his.

"how long did you want this to stay on the low?" johnny sighed. "all-valley's in december. we still have time to figure things out."

"it's november, johnny." bella said as she took a sip of her cherry coke. "we have a month or less to figure out how this is gonna work."

"when we make this public, we have to arrive together, it would be ideal right? that way you don't have to drive everywhere." johnny said. "i'll pick you up in my car or bike, whatever you'd prefer."

"wow, what a gentleman." bella smirked. "since we have a class together, we can walked in together, like hand-in-hand, not me in front of you and vice-versa."

"as long as i can walk you to your classes." johnny said. "with my arm around you shoulder or waist."

"okay, your hand can't go any farther than my waist, not in school at least." bella said. "the farthest i'll allow is your hand in my back pocket."

"what the hell, bella?" johnny laughed as he took a bite out of his burger. "my hand in your back pocket?"

"yeah, like the opening scene of sixteen candles." bella smiled as she dipped a fry in her ketchup.

"that chick movie about the girl's parents forgetting her birthday?" johnny said.

"exactly." bella smiled. "that's the farthest you can go in public."

"what about in private?" johnny smirked as he played with bella's hands.

"that's a different story that i'm not going to discuss with you right now." bella laughed. "we just got together about a week ago and you're already thinking about the bedroom?"

"so you prefer doing it in a bedroom?" johnny smirked. "yours or mine?"

"asshole." bella said as she threw a french fry at johnny. "not yet. chill out."

"okay so hand in your back pocket, got it." johnny said. "anything else?"

"dates and events." bella said. "please tell me your mom doesn't know about us."

"she doesn't. i won't tell her and introduce you until you're ready. she'll love you." johnny sighed. "now, sid's a different story."

"ugh don't tell me." bella scoffed. "i've heard enough about him from ali. i'm so sorry you're stuck with him."

"if he says anything about you, i'll defend you." johnny said. "i really don't give a shit about what he says, he bullies me regardless."

"i'm sorry baby." bella said. "anyway, my parents don't know either, but they'll love you, i promise. now, i assume you join your mom at the country club right?"

"i'm dragged to every event there is." johnny sighed. "but i won't mind if you're there and i get to see you in a dress."

"stop it." bella laughed. "okay, if you want, we'll meet there and then we'll go have some fun of our own."

"sounds good." johnny said. "anything else?"

"that's pretty much it for me." bella smiled. "what about you?"

"well, starting with the all-valley, you have to be there, i need you there." johnny said. "after that, we'll go have some drinks or wherever you wanna go. i'll take you out to the beach like we've been doing. once we're public, you can start wearing my jacket so everyone can know you're mine. i've seen a couple of assholes stare at you and i can't do anything yet, so that'll be a clear sign that you're with me."

"alright." bella smiled. "i might just keep the jacket. it's really warm and it reminds me of my boyfriend."

"i love the way that word sounds when you say it." johnny smirked as he leaned over the table to kiss bella. she smiled into the kiss as she intertwined her hands with his. "we better get going, if we wanna make it to gym."

bella and johnny both got up to throw their trays of food away and walked out of the diner, hand-in-hand. "i can't wait to see my boyfriend in shorts, with no shirt on." bella smiled as she leaned back on her car.

"you make me crazy, you know that?" johnny smirked as he kissed bella once again. she groaned into the kiss as he held her close to his body. "i'll see you in gym class."

"i'll miss you." bella smiled as she got into her car and drove back to school. she watched johnny speed off into the road on his motorcycle and waited a few minutes to drive off as well.
