Prologue: Inception of murder

SeoHa's ears chilled with melodies of the K-pop world. The dark-tinted roads with side shops and street food carts stood aside, which she didn't mind at all. Her walk from university to home was too long; she had to take two buses, and by the second stop, she had to walk a little. She will reach home normally by 8 PM. The darkness accompanies her steps when people almost slept or had dinner peacefully with their beloveds at their homes. The light pollution of Seoul had turned the night air to glow a little over her face when a streetlamp shined brightly towards her fair skin. The pure black sky with little stars stumbled upon her black, long hair with brownish-tinted hair. Her face cast lights of moonlight, and her eyes glowed a little, resembling the stars in the sky. She wore jeans with a denim blue jacket, adding an inside T-shirt to highlight her attire. She had her backpack secured on her shoulder in one strap.

Upon reaching a dark alley she took a turn and her neighbourhood reached in her sight. The nearby houses' gate lamps welcomed her warningly. Her smile was visible even in the sunlight glow of the night glow worms that followed her.
Her steps halted for a moment and entered her house. She tried to push the gates but to her surprise it was open.

"Mom, Dad, Ha_Joon!"
Her eyes darted to the lights. She switched on the lights. Strange yet the door was open half. She stared in confusion and disbelief at the door. She felt something was wrong. Did my parents didn't sleep? Did they forget to lock the door? Her heart thumped against her skin she made her way directory of the door. As she entered in, she saw the dining hall was all disregarded with things displaced from their original position to floors, shattered here and there. The books, and papers, that were on the side table of the couch were now on the floor, they had, scratches and they were torn badly.

She couldn't understand what happened in the house. With the puzzlement of the situation, she took her phone and ranged to her brother. To her surprise, she turned to the ringing sound of the phone from the nearby area where she was standing.

Her heart turned to the ringtone of the phone, her eyes moved around on the floor and found out the phone was lying on the floor near her foot. She jumped out of shock falling to the floor in fear when her eyes darted to other side on leaning the opened door, she saw the sight she didn't expect in her life.
Her eyes streamed the tears seeing her elder brother Kim Ha_Joon lying on the floor, it was hard to recognize his face. There are large cuts across his face, his arms are covered in polls of blood, and his other hand seems like he had been clutching the wound that was in his stomach. His white red mixed t-shirt made her lips shiver, and her throat became dry.  To her surprise, she found her parent's dead body on the floor, and the books, papers scattered in pieces. Her eyes opened wide seeing her family dead on the floor mysteriously.

"Mom, Dad, what ...ha...happened....!"
She crouched down to the floor near them and tried shaking them expecting them to respond to her call.

But nowhere they reloaded they lay freezes on the floor. She screamed out of her heart with more tears streaming down, resulting in the neighbors waking up. She ran outside and saw Ajhumma running to her as she crumbled on the door steps weeping badly with heavy breaths.

Ajhumma sensed something was wrong seeing her crying in the middle of the night. Entering the home she witnessed the unexpected sight which made her turn her foot and run to her home to call her family. Returning to the scene, the neighborhood family hugged SeoHa and helped her to their house.

The uncle of the family said.
"Stay with us till the investigation is over."

Ajhumma held her hands and helped her to the home.

After 1month.

SeoHa became alone, she sat on the court bench, waiting for the judge to announce the first verdict. Ajhumma squeezed her hand gently, she moved to the old man on the main podium that stood higher than other furniture in the court. Her neighbourhood uncle Lee Jong Hyung sat among other lawyers.

The unknown defendant dropped his head down unlike his lawyer was confident in hearing the final statement. SeoHa watched the unknown guy, she was sure he was not the original killer.
Police had fabricated some evidence to close the case soon. There seemed a rumor the killer was an influencer of the government which made the investigation team of the FBI execute the process soon and close the case by putting on hearing for shutting the mouths of mmediawho were active till the the crime had spread out to the public.

SeoHa sighed with dried tears on her cheeks. Judge finally after reading a paper spoke breaking the silence of the court.
"The case has been closed due to the invaevidencences submitted by the officers that proved the defendant guilty and he has been charged against the murders, attempting for robbery."

SeoHa scoffed upon hearing the words of the judge in disbelief. Everyone on the court bowed to each other and the falsely accrued criminal was taken by the cops outside. The unknown man front wasted time gazing at her and he got mixed in the crowd.

Ajhumma rubbed her back.
"Sweety let's go."
Ajhumma sighed seeing her husband stuffing his things together who got failed. Seeing the sight it was unbearable for her as a wife.

Clenching her fist, she leads SeoHa. Upon passing through the media's unwanted pouring of questions harassing SeoHa she reached their home without any cause dropping of tears again from her eyes.

After 2 month

Upon being pestered by SeoHa she got moved to a new apartment near her university YeonSei. Jong Hyung had brought her an apartment as he was the best friend of her father being the neighbors. SeoHa made a coffee in the middle of the night to stay awake from her nightmares which had been disturbing her for the last months. It's been only three months since the incident was offered. She leaned on the couch with half-dimple light in the dining hall. There was the sound of the clock's clicking, it was only Eleven past night, and a couple laughing at the other apartment near her.

She brought her knees to her chest and swirled her finger with the spoon rounding the brown colored liquid. She took some sips of the coffee. She exhaled the scent. Her walls echoed families, and kids' laughter which resulted in her tears streaming down while she stared at the white wall opposite her blankly.
Her eyes fell on the wooden photo frame of her family. She clutched the frame to her chest and screamed in tears drying her throat up.

After 1 month

Now it's four months the month last of her mourning state. After university, she spends her time mostly at the residential areas park. Families, kids, and young teenagers spend their time in the evenings unlike her who sat by the bench and watched them with blank faces. She calmly closed her ears from the laughter and funny talks with earphones. Her hood of black covered her head and hair protectively from dust. She started wearing the hoods to university to hide her tears from the public. When she walks unknown people stare at her while they whisper about her life. She didn't want to see it. She was unknown at her university with no friends, and she didn't like to have one. Upon being in her second year it was hard to manage the stress she was having on this she signed up for council kung at the start of the year but ended up when she was asked to open up about her state to the councillor. From that day she stayed to herself from the public. Her neighborhood Ajhumma and her uncle with their small kids visited her each month to check on her even though she has now moved out to the city.

When she was about to walk to her apartment, someone patted her shoulders startling her. She removed her earphones and looked at them.

"Can we talk?"
The young attorney will appear on the news every day because of the fame he has in taking unsolved cases.

She studied him. Finding him irritated to her she stood up to walk away.
"I am Park Jimin, the..."

"I know."
She turned her gaze away to the family who were in their fun mode.

His eyes watched her in disbelief seeing her attitude towards him. He hasn't even spoke anything about his arrival.
"I hate you people."

She walked away leaving him puzzled. Her mind recalled the moments of the court where she remembered the pale face of Jong Hyung's failure.
