New Life As A Low Level Crimminal

Tadashi didn't e-mail Gogo the presentation. Or come to school the next day. Or that week. Or that month. It's like he just dissapeared from San Fransokyo all together. Nobody knew where he went or when he would be back. If he would be back.

Gogo called and texted him day after day but got no replies. Every day she illustrated through text message what happened during the day. Because she didn't know where his supposed aunt lived so she couldn't hunt him down to tell him in person.

As the days wore on she grew more and more accustomed to not having Tadashi around, as painful as it was to admit to herself. Her grades suffered her loss the most, however, and soon she was close to failing every class but science where all of the answers were more like default settings to her.

After a while she stopped calling. She stopped texting. She just assumed he'd moved across the country or something and was done with her. And without him around to be her voice of reason she became more and more reckless.

At first it was just little things like getting sent to the hallways during classes or staying out past her curfew. But as time went on she got worse and worse until she decided to break the law.

Bot-fighting.

The underground community of bot-fighters was high and payed well. So she built herself a robot that used spinning disks on each limb to move quickly and demolish any opponent she faced. At first it was just once or twice a week. A casual thing. But then she got addicted to the adrenaline that accompanied using a metal figure to destroy another.

She had gotten a reputation in the bot-fighting community for her unique attack style and was reborn as the Speed Demon, a nickname she'd gotten over time. Anyone who dared to go up against her was beaten in 30 seconds at the most, garunteed, thus mer new name.

She became a regular at the most popular up on bot-fighting arena charts. Only the pros battled there and she was still the one to beat. Noone had figured out how to best her, yet. And she hoped noone ever would. People didn't expect much from a 16 year old fighter. Most of the fighters were middle aged men who's egos refused to let a girl beat them. And that's how bot fighting became easy money for Gogo.

People would challange her again and again just do be defeated repeatedly, all because they couldn't accept being bested by a young girl.

Soon enough bot-fighting was her life and purpose. Any bot that was thrown at her was torn through in a matter of seconds.

And she thought that a great thing. Until she met Mr. Yama and his bot, Little Yama. They were easy enough to beat. Nothing better or worse than anyone else she'd faced while she was at this particualr location. The only problem with Mr. Yama was that he was a sore loser. A very sore loser.

After Gogo had beaten him for the third time in a row he lost it, demanding his money back. When she refused he had his men gang up on her. She'd tried to run, of course she did, and made it away from them. But she had gotten a black eye in the process.

She burst into the first open shop she could find and the moment she walked in she was greeted by the sweet smell of freshly baked cookies. She took her place in line, with two people ahead of her, and looked at the cookies, trying to find the one she wanted most.

Of course, in the end, with the money she'd gotten that night from bot-fighting she could simply buy one of everything. Not that she would, she couldn't possibly eat it all, but just thinking of the possibilities with her wealth amazed her

"Next!" A voice called from behind the register and Gogo realized it was her turn to order. She stepped to the cashire, her hood on, and gasped with him.

"Gogo what the hell?" Tadashi demanded as he saw her eye.

"Yeah." She scowled and crossed her arms. "Right back at ya."
