"I never meant to hurt anyone." Tadashi started. His back vibrated against GoGo's as he spoke and she shed a tear. It's been so long since she'd heard his voice. Other than the million times she called his phone to his voice mail before it'd finally gotten full.

"Of course you didn't." She laughed with no humor. "You're Tadashi Hamada. You couldn't kill a mosquito if your life depended on it."

"Anyway," he continued. "Callighan came to me after school one day. He said th-"

"Wait a second." She inturrupted. "Callighan is kabuki man?"

"I'm getting to that." Tadashi held up a hand. "He told me about Operation Silent Sparrow. It's an old idea that Krei sponsored. They were testing teleportation. Only, Callighan's daughter was the tester and something went wrong."

"So he wants revenge?" GoGo guessed.

"Exactly. And after hearing about what happened I promised him I'd help. On the conditions that we out it to the public and return Hiro's microbots after it was all finished."

"Well that's a good plan." I nodded. "Betray your brother's trust and nearly kill everyone you know. . . Wait a second. Was that you last night?"

"Yeah." He laughed softly. "Man, your driving could use some work. All over the place. And not once did you stop at a light."

"How many times must I explain?" I groaned. "There are absolutely, positively, most certainly no red lights in a car chase."

"Oh?" He arched an eyebrow and broke our little lean fest by turning to face me. "Sophie have you been?"

"You're joking, right?" I laughed. "Tadashi Hamada I've been through hell and it's all your fault. And what do you have to say for yourself?"

"You look really beautiful today." He pushed a lock of purple hair behind my ear. His hand trailed slowly down. It crossed my face, then shoulder, until it landed on the ring on my necklace. "And you got my message."

"You planned to have Cass deliver it." I realized. "You left it for her to find. That's why you didn't do it earlier."

"Smart girl." He grinned. "Using that big brain of yours."

"Yeah. It's telling me that you should have womaned up and proposed to my face." I huffed and crossed my arms.

"Leiko Tanka." He said, quickly getting of the crate and kneeling on the ground. He took my left hand and held it firmly with both of his. "Will you accept my proposal to become my wife?"

"Holly shit Tadashi I was joking." I laughed with a nod.
